We decided Ginger for dinner tonight. We started with the shrimp dumplings (seared) and we both had the Mongolian grill The restaurant was very busy and all of the wait staff was on the hustle. But it wasnt loud. Very enjoyable. We made our plates and sauce dishes for the grill and had them cooked. Returning to the table the drinks and dumplings arrived, along with the steamed rice. the dumplings were ok, definitely from frozen. Our main dishes lacked the flavor we had put in the sauce bowls. You can have Mongolian grill, all you can eat sushi or a la carte My mom in law got orange chicken and I got a salmon bento box. Everything in it was delicious. Salad was fresh. Sushi wasn't rolled very prettily. But the tuna was big rice proportion wasn't correct but hey, im grateful for a bigger piece of raw tuna. The dumplings were crispy. And edamame was delicious. The salmon was perfect and just nice and not dry. Its a family restaurant. A lot of pple come in for meals. They also have a portion for Mongolian grill. You will just order that and go up to the counter to pick your protein and vegetables and sauces. They will cook it for you. Casual ambiance They also have a variety of seating available. Our first time here, we made reservations for a Friday evening. Good thing as it was busy. We ordered the Mongolian grille, a plate of Crab Rangoon, and edamame. For drinks we had hot sake and a Peach Bellini. The appetizers were really good. The same was warm, but not hot enough. I should have sent it back. The food and oil choices were great. Next time I'm in Lincoln, I'm coming back here! I attended a bachelor party in Lincoln, and our last stop in the City was catching dinner here. We were able to change our reservation schedule for a party of 8, and they helped do everything they could to accommodate. We were seated about 10 minutes after our improvised reservation time on a Saturday night. Service was well-paced. The menu has many different options, but as always, the peanut butter chicken caught my eye. The flavor of the food was phenomenal, while the chicken itself was more tender compared to most other classic chicken dishes. I loved the aesthetics, felt cared for, and the food (although a little more upscale) was worth the price. I cannot wait to be back in the future and to try something else! read more

The food I had was okay, but it was weird compared to what I'm used to. I had the orange chicken there as I don't like seafood, and the chicken was good, but the sauce for the chicken was more liquid than it should be. And my boyfriend who I went with is allergic to onions, even though it was a mild allergy, the server she took it seriously and was great overall, but the kitchen I don't believe they took the allergy seriously as my boyfriend told me after we left that his sesame chicken he had was cold and doesn't believe that they change out his entire plate like he want as due to the onions that were placed on the plate, he didn't mention the allergy beforehand. My review is based on my dinner, the Sashimi Deluxe - 21 pieces of sashimi (actually... 22!). I considered giving a three-star review, but in yelp terms that means A-OK and the sashimi was anything but okay. Some of the fish was okay, but some of it was also questionable. Not so bad that I refused to eat it (I WAS starving!), but enough that made me think, "Hmm... this isn't the freshest of fish". The salmon was a big disappointment. I love the taste of salmon sashimi and especially the mouthfeel. The texture of the salmon sashimi was not like velvet and flavor was missing. The white fish, which I assume was escolar, was not good. I won't go into a description fish by fish, but suffice to say it was not enjoyable. I did get a free California roll thanks to yelp! It was good, a bright spot in the dinner. It was a bit heavy on cream cheese, but hey... who doesn't love cream cheese! The plum wine was very good. The staff was attentive. The menu is huge and there were a lot of people going up to a food bar, putting stuff in bowls and then taking it to chefs to prepare. This area seemed to be the most popular. Perhaps this food is what brings in the crowds, so you might want to check it out. But it you are in the mood for delicious sashimi, this is not the place. read more

Well they are in LA anyway, we were visiting Nebraska for a wedding and went here for dinner and it was great good sized menu and the Mongolian grill which I had was well worth it. Still not sure how the cooks remember who's plate is who's some sort of witchcraft I suspect. A friend of mine had a groupon here and so we decided to go check it out. It took a little while for someone to come to the front and show us to a table. Once the host arrived we were seated and our server came right over. She was really excellent. Very friendly, attentive, knowledgeable about gluten free menu options, and took initiative to ensure all components on the plate were gf and safe for my allergy requirements. They have quite a few gf options which made it really hard to choose and ultimately lead to me eating way more than necessary! They have gf noodles for their Mongolian grill, which is a must try for next time, sushi and rolls, and even gf wings. I wish I had a picture of the wings but um.. I kinda devoured them before taking pictures. The edamame, avocado and Philadelphia rolls were all good too. They have gf soy sauce which is always appreciated. My friend really enjoyed her tower of tempura. Price is really affordable, especially during happy hour as many rolls were only 5.00. Food came out quickly and portions were great. Don't purchase from this awful place. They will not allow you to use a gift card for an online order. Must use a debit or credit card and then there is an additional charge to use the card. The manager is so rude. He says they don't have to tell you that you can't use a gift certificate when ordering on line and they will not let you cancel the card you used to pay with a gift card instead. I have found a new place for sushi, it just as good as Ginger and it is less expensive, Grey Whale, downtown in the old post office building. First time here and definitely won't be my last! Finally made my way over after multiple friends telling me to come try it out! Drinks were excellent and on Happy Hour so definitively a plus! I think I had a couple Lemon Drop Martinis they were strong but not overwhelming. For an appetizer I had the Crab Rangoon which are about 25 or 50 cent during happy hour which is always a great deal. They were fast, hot, and delicious! The homemade sauce and filling makes these a must try! The rest of my meal I had California Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, and Steak Kabobs. The rolls were perfect. The freshness of the rolls were what did it for me. The Kabobs were spot on. Perfectly cooked steak with fresh veggies was a nice touch with the sushi. Crappy customer service If you have food allergies BEWARE!!! I ordered what their menu said was gluten free wings, when my wings arrived they were breaded, I asked the waiter if gluten free and he in turn asked if I ordered gluten free? I had to tell him that his menu notes GF items and the wings were noted GF. He told me he would have to check with his manager. 15 minutes later he came back and about another 5 minutes later the manager came out and told me that no one knew they had changed the brand of wings and had no idea they were breaded and not GF, now I have gone nearly an hour with only 1/2 of my dinner and this clown knowing I have a gluten allergy offers me chocolate cake to make up for this BS. The Ginger Grill is awesome!! We are headed back to CA from St Louis on a road trip and as it is my birthday my husband wanted me to have a nice dinner and sushi is my favorite. Hubby had talked to Alisa a few days ago and I got to meet her.. she was very helpful and nice. It's 100+ degrees outside and we have our dog with us so we got it to go. The crab Rangoon was awesome.
