Visited this buffet and I can truly say it was a great experience! This was my first time visiting with my friend Jenny we came for lunch maybe 39 minutes after they opened their doors. The inside was very clean the buffet looked very well organized, and everything on it looked fresh. There was plenty of food in all different kinds of varieties and they had a nice selection of sushi and you could also get hibachi. We had about two plates before we were incredibly stopped the food was tasting great. The only issue I had was with their general sao chicken it wasn't spicy at all in the chicken meat itself wasn't very pleasant. This place is great depending on what you're looking for. Are you looking for authentic Chinese food? Then it's proabably not your cup of tea. But if you're looking for a buffet with sushi, hibachi, and a side of protein, then you're set. My recommendation is to go for seafood than other protein since they can be a bit dry. But the sushi bit is actually pretty good & i can see why they would offer sushi takeout as an add-on. The service was actually pretty nice and quick (never left my soda unattended). The server came up and loudly and rudely told us it was not the tip but 10% for using a credit card, (which was not disclosed on the phone or the receipt). The whole room could hear her. First time and we left full and satisfied. It's been a very long time since we have enjoyed an Asian buffet. There are not that many in the area. Well Asian Buffet did not disappoint. Everything was fresh. Everything was hot. And the flavor of the food was so good. There was 5 of us in our party celebrating my husband's birthday and everyone had something different. Good price and good service. They give a discount for paying cash and there is a senior discount as well. It's standard asian buffet food, but consistent and frequently refilled. Today, I had crab rangoon, crab and cheese, rice, sushi, broccoli, matcha ice cream, banana pudding and more. I do try to stay clear of their chicken as it can be fatty and chewy. The latest reviews about the food being okay are correct. We went for dinner on a Saturday and it was pretty busy. The sushi was okay but everything else was pretty "mid". I wish there was more flavor. We saw a lot of people with sushi on their plates which if you're just wanting to eat the basic then you can go here. Customer service was okay. Pros: Generally clean dining area and buffet line. The buffet dishes seem to be restocked frequently (Et tu, Indian buffets?) The servers are good about refilling sodas despite the throngs of clients. There are both Chinese fast food dishes and western dishes in addition to Japanese sushi and desserts like Jello/chocolate pudding, various cakes. Cons: If you want a quite and peaceful meal, do not come here at prime dining time on the weekend. I came at 6 , but by 7 it was pure cacophony. Also, there was a wait after 715 pm. (I haven't really been to any buffets except Minerva post Corona and for the last 11 years Ive lost interest in them in general) The Chinese staple dishes like Bourbon chicken, Gen. Tso, Pepper Steak were pretty tasty. The peel and eat shrimp was solid. However, the sushi was very mushy and not fresh. Avoid. Also the various cakes/cheesecakes were underwhelming and not worth the stomach space IMO. The biggest strike is that the dinner price EVERYDAY is $19. I know COVID etc, but I was shocked. By the time you add soda, tax/tip, it is basically $25/person. It shouldn't be more than $15 tops. If I was in charge, I'd remove the Western dishes and scale back on the desserts.. Hot and sour soup was the best item I had but not as good as many other places I've been. General Tso chicken was mushy rather than crisp. Pot stickers were overdone and lacked flavor. This was without a doubt the worst Chinese food I've ever had!! No flavor to anything and all the chicken was so tough you couldn't eat it!! I took 2 shrimp and apparently that was for dinner only and was told she would have to charge me dinner price if I took shrimp so she took my whole plate and threw it away!!!! Never go again! The good service & spacious, clean dining area w/ tables & booths are not @ issue, although the brown room decor is outdated. The extended hours & cleansing table @ the entrance are also not an issue. What IS @ issue is the $17.99 cost per person when almost all of the food offerings are low in cost. Yes, there are cold crab legs, cold shrimp, sushi, sashimi, & crawfish, but no combination is worth $17.99 unless the diner makes multiple trips to the food bars for those few specific items. For $17.99, I expected to see more higher priced/higher quality prepared foods. The beautiful food bar (w/ its pink lighting) consists of many sections-- appetizers, salads, cold entrees, hot entrees, a sushi bar, a Mongolian barbecue (which wasn't available upon our visit), desserts, & ice creams. The food bar was clean & well stocked. The cost of an adult meal jumped $1 to $17.99 due to Covid. Even @ $16.99, the cost would be too high. I wont return; I simply don't eat enough to justify spending the money. The two individuals I covered also didn't eat enough to sanction a subsequent visit. It was only 3 (max 4) pieces and none was specially rolls so I ask to dispose of them myself... instead the guy insisted, took my plate, stuck his hands in to remove them and put them to the side!!! We were here on Sunday, August 20th. It was super crowded and my party felt rushed, the waitress was at our table numerous times, trying to take our plates away, and actually took away a plate of food that one of my party was not finished with. The waitress brought our bills (we were paying separately) and again, was there numerous times to check if we had paid yet. When we were finished, one of our party was not satisfied with the service, and elected not to leave a tip (wrong I know but that was her decision), the waitress actually bought back the bill and said that she had not finished yet. We felt she was very pushy and rude. Food - it was good, though I didn't see a whole lot of Asian food, quite a bit of sweets and I guess because lots of kids are there, food that they will eat. For the price, almost $19 a piece, I felt it was pricey and will not return. I've stopped in here a few times, and I leave satisfied whenever I do. The buffet has a huge variety of options even without venturing toward the seafood section that seems to draw many folks in, and each option is as hot or as cold as it should be. Everything I've tried has been a good or great version of the dish, with the peanut chicken being a standout. On the (massive) dessert offerings, a big draw for me is the lychee jello. It's a bit pricey at $18 for one person, but folks coming for crab legs will get their money's worth for sure, and it's still worth it for me. What has really made this place stand out to me is the kindness of the staff. Everyone is friendly and attentive, but one server really made an impression. I came in after a rough day, and the server noticed I had a little collection of fortunes pasted to the back of my cell phone case. When she brought my check, she brought me extra cookies. There is a very large selection. I don't think anyone could try everything without bursting. The Mongolian style hibachi grill option looked very good; but we were just too full to try it. I think you could make a meal of just the made to order grill and sushi sections and that's only about a quarter of what you will see. I recommend the honey chicken and noodles; it was our favorite. We were impressed that the ice cream was the hard type you scoop yourself instead of just the fake soft serve type that buffets usually have. Fresh food and lots of options! Sometimes my fiance and I just get a craving for Chinese food but we want a little bit of EVERYTHING so the buffet is the place to go except near us, we don't have a decent one. We were in the area and decided to try this place out and so glad we did. You can't beat the price for the number of options this place has. Everything was fresh, delicious and they kept bringing out different dishes. I tried just about everything but my favorite was their lo-mein noodles and steamed veggies and mushrooms. The place was very clean and not old and dingy like a lot of the Asian buffets you see. They did a really nice job with the colorful lighting too we noticed and decor.
