I really liked this place. It is very casual and roomy. It was not crowded when we were there. I was there with an actual NoLa native, and she really thought it was authentic. We got three things, Shrimp Etouffee, Shrimp Gumbo, and Spicy Cajun Fried Rice. All were excellent! They were plated well and served hot. The flavor balance was delicious and amazingly nothing was too salty. The spice level for me was slightly mild but I am guessing you could ask for it to be spicier. Also, they had a variety of Cajun hot sauces and shakes on the table one could use. The service was excellent as well. We really had a great time (it was a first date!) and the food was fantastic. Warning, the shrimp bang-bang tastes good but is battered OVER the entire head, tail, and shell. Which wasn't pleasant to eat, but we liked the taste so we peeled most of the shell off and ate the batter separately which is silly. But here is a picture of my daughter AFTER she realized she had already eaten two shrimp faces, eyeballs and all :-D but it is annoying that this is not disclosed in the menu item online, and NONE of the "options" you can tap include headless / no shell. But if you call, they tell you that's an option. So, if you don't want your appetizer hard to chew, consider calling instead of using the web menu. read more

Of all the Cajun boil places I have been to this is one of the few that has the shrimp already peeled, which makes it very nice and easy to eat as well as their sauces. Have a lot more flavor and great taste compared to a lot of other ones that I have been to. read more

I had a great time at Asian Cajun today. My cousin and I ordered the loaded fries, hushpuppies and two seafood boils. I had the shrimp and snowcrab combo and she ordered a pound of clams and a pound of crawfish both cooked with medium spice and all in with sauces. The flavors are great and the medium spice was perfect with a lil kick of spice. We washed both our meals with lemonades and the drinks were tasty and refreshing to combat the spice. It was a very busy Friday night when we went and our waitress was very nice about getting us seated. The food was honestly really good, i loved that you could get noodles in with your boil. They end up soaking up the yummy sauce. We got the all in sauce at a medium and I probably could've gone for hot. The loaded cajun fries?!? SO GOOD! It's literally the perfect combo of french fries and creamy crawfish sauce with the crab, omg. Even thought it was busy, the restaurant had a very nice setup and it wasn't crammed or anything. Last night my family had the pleasure of eating at The Asian Cajun in Westminster. We started off with the Gator bites, grilled oysters and the crawfish fried rice. They were all delicious but the crawfish fried rice was over the top. Just full of crawfish!!! The service was great and Angel the owner was very helpful in guiding us on our dining choices. As someone who never writes a bad review anywhere, I feel inclined to warn people considering this place. Nothing I got here had any remnants of cajun. The "gumbo" is so sad, no meat whatsoever, and no flavor, and did not have a roux base, which is what makes gumbo, gumbo. The crawfish fried rice made me feel sad and also bad, there was just simply no flavor. Price wise was kinda baffling as well, for the quality of what we received. I had high hopes for this eatery. It's in a good location and the atmosphere is great. Unfortunately, the food and prices are less appealing. We went during happy hour and it was fairly quiet. The space is roomy and casual and the staff was attentive. I understand it's really hard to get good seafood in CO, especially good seafood at a casual dining restaurant. I always try to have high hopes, but this did not deliver. The food was really lacking in flavor. We had wonton nachos and they were overdressed with sauce. The oysters were large but not tasty. Shrimp Etouffee and garlic chicken pasta didn't have good flavor. It was a total miss. Maybe if we ordered the boil it would have had a happier ending. Good luck! read more

I had gone to the other location prior and it was packed! 1 1/2 hour wait, food was amazing! Totally different experience here. It wasn't busy at all! Prices were outrageous! $95 for the standard boil. Soup wasn't even warm. Usually gumbo comes with shrimp etc. Shrimp were $4 extra for 4 baby shrimp! Chicken fried rice was awesome. PO boys had pickles in them ( menu never mentioned it) so bread was soggy. My catfish resembled chicken in the PO boy, not the catfish I ordered. Lemonade was very good. I love rum and cokes and they dilute their rum. Really not interested in going back again.
