Disappointing experience- we should of known we were in trouble when the water had a terrible taste. We had a new shrimp tempura appetizer that was terrible, looked nothing like the picture. The signature rolls were average. Regarding service some of the staff thought the masks were chin diapers the mask was under her chin, others didn't have their nose covered. The one Sushi chef didn't even have a mask on. We should of left, I was mad at myself for not getting up and leave, we were uncomfortable and unsatisfied. read more

This is Elkton, I guess it is OK. Hot and Sour soup is decent. Sushi was OK, The fish is not as fresh I would like. The fillet was at room temperature and made me very uncomfortable. I like my my hot food hot and cold food cold. We ordered Beef HoFun. This dish was lukewarm and made hours ago. The Ho Fun is not from the fresh rice noodle that we expected, It was the dry HoFun from a package. It was bad. We only ate a few bites, totally wasted. I had used to think this place was the best Asian restaurant in town, however, I just had one of the worst takeout Asian meals ever. First the jasmine rice was cold and very mushy. I placed a very order tonight ($100+) for my mother-in-law's moving back to Maryland from New Mexico party. I ordered using the menu provided on the website as I have in the past. I am deathly allergic to crab meat and have a very bad reaction to imitation crab meat as well. I ordered the "Ichiban Roll" and overstated that I can have crab meat on the one I ordered. Everyone placed there order with other also order regular "Ichiban Rolls". When the order arrived I sign the slip gave the drive an solid tip of $10 and was ready to enjoy our meal. When I open the bag none of the rolls were marked with "No Crab". So naturally I call, some snotting kid answers the phone and is obviously has not interest in helping me with this problem. I had no interest in a discount or free food, I repeated this to the the cash register clerk and he claimed to talk to his manager. When he came back he informed me that none of the rolls had crab meat, which drove me to my next question, why? My wife and her girlfriend ordered the roll because they wanted crab meat in their sushi. He then went on to tell me how his manager did speak anything but broken english when I question him about speaking to him. Naturally I asked how he spoke to him about my questions. He eventually allowed me to speak to the manager, where I was told repeatedly that the roll does not include crab. This entire process left me be too leary to actually eat the roll and wasted my money. The food has been very good overall, however the customer service and actual concern for well being has left me never wanting to eat here again. read more

Not impressed, the food is over priced compared to portion size. We ordered the pepper steak w/ onions and the general tso's shrimp, the shrimp looked huge but after the first bite you realize that it's all breading. The pepper steak meal had such large pieces of green peppers and onions that they over powered the flavor of the rest of the meal. Speaking of flavor, meh... you can definitely tell that this is not a traditional Asian restaurant. The delivery guy had a pats pizzeria sign on top of his car so we asked why he was delivering Chinese food and found out that pats owns Asian gardens which is probably why it doesn't taste like tradition Chinese cuisine. All in all, this place just didn't do it for us, not for $40. I would much rather spend $22 and order from China Wok by Redners on 213. Today, for our third visit to this new restaurant on the main road into Elkton, [MD 213], my wife and three daughters (with one 4 year old grandchild) accompanied me. I'd been there previously to enjoy the hot tofu with a crispy, fried rice crust, and a side order of seaweed salad. I'd been a second time and chose their shrimp egg-foo-young and the roast pork egg-foo-young. These were thoroughly Americanized dishes, but a delight with a brown sauce and a pork gravy, each in side dishes. Not overly salty, and no MSG I could discern. . . , a problem for some. This time, my wife and I shared a plate of the superior seaweed salad. It was cool, clean, refreshing, with just a hint of sesame oil, garnished with celery and cucumber strips, swirls of finely sliced carrot and an edible orchid. Oh, yes, a sprinkle of black and white sesame seeds. [See: a pic taken by our eldest's cellphone] I had their crispy fried large shrimp under a sweet\hot sauce reminiscent of other spots' "General Tso" sauce. Four flowerets of steamed broccoli graced the corners of the square serving plate. It was somewhat like the commonly offered "General Tso's Shrimp," but ever so slightly over-sweet to my taste, and not enough garlic flavor. The optional fried rice offered with it was superior to any, save some I had years ago in Chicago, IL, where they used duck fat to prepare their version. It ought please almost anyone in Cecil County! My wife enjoyed the Sesame Chicken with steamed broccoli, but was able to eat only a small bit of her steamed white rice. Our daughters ordered the mild version of Pad Thai, some Beef with Green Beans, and some Roast Pork egg-foo-young (on my recommendation). Each dish came with an abundant helping of steamed white rice in a side bowl. My granddaughter had some battered chicken with a red sweet & sour sauce for dipping -- the adults cleaned up what she did not eat. We each had either water All in all a superior taste fest with three boxes of left-overs, and a bill, with taxes and tip just over $100, which they kindly split into four portions to please our severely independent girls who do not like to "sponge" off their elderly folks. read more

My shrimp salad was to have daikon radish (none), cucumber (eight toothpick sized slices of cucumber skin), carrot (about ten toothpick sized slivers), and Napa cabbage (about a dozen small pieces). Basically a bowl of noodles with five nice shrimp, and a dressing that did not have any taste of the promised lemongrass. My companion's curry dish had three different meats, all of which tasted the same. Our waitress was very nice, but there is a limit to the number of times I want to be called "you guys". Average food, but the manager lacks professionalism and the ability to perform simple customer service. Our online order was late and showing up in tracking as delivered. Clearly our order was not delivered. When we called to inquire as to what may be causing the delay, we were put on hold and then spoke to the most obnoxious person, who identified herself as the manager. Not was this person rude, she provided incorrect information. This manager reported our food was indeed delivered and she was indignant. She Wouldn't even check with or call the driver to explore a possible reason. Not only did she lie, but 5 minutes later the driver showed up and reported being lost. The driver was kind and professional, but the manager caused this establishment our business. And we will be sharing this poor experience with our family and friends. Not worth it. read more
