I love me some waffle House! I've been to multiple all across the country. Never got to enjoy a nice late night scuffle, and for the most part they have all been really good! Wish they had them out where I live! I walked in, and was greeted by my server Jennifer. Super nice super sweet lady, told me I could sit wherever I wanted and got my beverage for me while I browsed the menu. I typically get the same hash brown bowl, but I wanted to try something different and I ordered the Texas chicken sandwich with hash browns and country gravy. It was so good, I'm glad I tried it cuz now I can go back to my Norm next time hahaha! I asked Jennifer for some Louisiana hot sauce, and she gave me Tabasco hahaha but it was close enough! That girl on the flat top was whipping up delicious farw the ENTIRE time I was there. Poor kid needs to take a break! She was really hustlin'! Oddly enough, all the food she was making, I think was take out orders, because there is only one other couple in there besides me, but a few people came in and got food to go. This isn't exactly the cleanest WH I've been in, but I've also been in some pretty ratchet ones. But there is one employee there who wasn't really doing much, because they weren't really busy, and I noticed the waffle station was absolutely destroyed. Batter everywhere, I just think people should take pride more in what they do. Bar seating table top could have been wiped down, but other than those two things, excellent food, excellent people, and excellent experience! I hate this state, well the whole northeastern seaboard for that matter, but this visit made my stay a lot more tolerable. Thank you jennifer! Amazing establishment! We came here at midnight on a Saturday and let me tell you, our experience was as good or even better than visiting somewhere else at a normal hour. It was still decently busy in there, considering the time of day, and yet our service was still incredibly quick and enjoyable. It was very clean in there, our food came out fast and well cooked, and we felt very safe while inside and outside the restaurant. We love Waffle House, and this is definitely one of the best ones we have been to yet! If you're in the area or driving on 95, I highly recommend you stop in for a nice meal, it only takes about 20-30 minutes from when you walk in until you're all done your delicious food! read more

I don't often write reviews, even when I like something, but we were visiting from LA and this was the first ever Waffle House I have ever been to and it was an amazing experience. Our server Jess was absolutely wonderful, she was super nice and funny and was amazing with her kindness and refills. She is what really made our trip here amazing. The food came out in less than 3 minutes and was delicious. The waffles stole the show and the restaurant easily earns its name. The cheesy eggs were great and the bacon was delicious and very classic. The atmosphere was very warm and friendly. All the staff were friendly and took our photos. The staff was always checking on us. Once again, Jess was amazing and is totally what made our experience so great. read more

Let me start off by saying how much we love Waffle House! Wish it was anywhere near where I live but no, I have to travel out of state to get mine scattered, smothered and covered. We were so excited when walking in, after a very long drive. No "welcome to Waffle House". We sat and the first thing I notice are 2 ants crawling across the table. Server asks what we want, no emotion and more interested in what's happening on his phone. We obviously got waffles and hash browns. The waffles were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, yum. The bacon comes out next. Not strips but 2 shriveled up fatty pieces that left burn marks on the plate. Came here for breakfast with my family. I used to enjoy Waffle House when I lived in Georgia. We don't have them in the Philadelphia area so when I saw there was one nearby where we were staying in Maryland, I wanted to go. This is a breakfast chain, obviously specializing in waffles. You can't beat the amount of food you can get for the price here. I got a chocolate chip waffle, bacon, and hash browns. Everything was great, I especially love Waffle House's hashbrowns. WOW. My friends and I were returning to New York from a trip to Baltimore and stopped at the Waffle House in Ellkton. (Never mind that we had already eaten Brunch before hitting the road- we couldn't leave the state without Waffle House and a delicious pecan waffle!). We were immediately welcomed and seated at the counter where our server Nikki was friendly and efficient. In my excitement, I snapped a pic of the menu to document my experience. This was noticed by Jess who approached us with a huge smile and contagious enthusiasm! She was engaging and personable - clearly passionate about her job which is so refreshing to see. I'm giving this particular waffle house location five stars because I'm reviewing it for what it is. It's a waffle house!!! Those who go to the waffle house know what it's about. It's about getting good waffles, or platters that contain waffles and eggs and ham and/or bacon etc. for a very reasonable price. I meet my friend here about once a month because it's halfway between our two residences and we've never had a bad experience. Coffee is hot and flowing, the service is always really good because we sit at the counter. And it's also fun to watch them cook. This particular waffle house is conveniently located about half a mile off interstate 95 just inside the Maryland border. Tax-free DELAWARE is about a mile away so it's good to grab breakfast and go shopping. Love this location. read more

Grilled cheese was BOMB. it was buttery but not greasy, the cheese was perfectly melted, the bread was just the right amount of toasted. It was amazing m, honestly the best grilled cheese I have ever tasted. everything else didn't do the Waffle House justice. I know it's a Waffle House but you won't get a snicker from me. Long on harsh florescents and short on curb appeal, these 24/7 roadside waystations are a welcome caffeine and carb salve for the weary traveler and long haul trucker. No artifice, just solid breakfast fare and a very reasonable check. Why they show up on COPS every other week is an excellent conversation starter and a candidate for rigorous Big Data analysis but I've never had a bad meal here. You (probably) won't either. It's pretty bare bones and for the price you pay, you are going to get enough to get you full and get you out of there. Bri, (waitress) server animosity with getto attitude. We were traveling and decided to meet our friends at Waffle House. We were in a happy mood due to special occasions. I asked my husband what he wanted, her orders, I order. My friend, who always orders for her husband's orders, big breakfast with grits on top of the hashbrowns and runny scrambles eggs, she asked Bri to please make sure the eggs were soft and runny. Bri brings the food, my friend says; those eggs are not runny. Please take them back. Bri replies with animosity; "those eggs are runny" as she is reaching out across my friend face. Her husband, who does not want a confrontation, says, "They're fine." Bri says with animosity and directive tone, " it's his food! My friend husband told her ( my friend) to stop, and he walked out, she follows. My husband and I are in the middle of this awkward moment, which, by the way, changed our moods immediately. Our joyful time became awkward, confused, and embarrassing as everyone heard the situation arise. My husband and I were going to ask to pack the food to go when we noticed her husband come back. We sat back down; his wife did not come back in. Yet, I had to go to the register to ask for our coffee to be warmed up, an orange juice and container to take my friends' food to go. Which, by the way, we had to throw away her food because it was soggy. Other employees asked with a smirk on their face how we were doing... seriously! That moment had my stomach so upset I had to get up to pay but had to rush to the restroom to vomit. I went to the register, and I was charged and only provided with an order reprint receipt by a different employee. I called corporate to complain, but there was no answer. They ask for us to go online and fill in our information. I did! No one has called back. I'm very disappointed with Bri. Not only did she ruin our special occasion but also our weekend. I have been extremely patient with this location for manyyyy months now. I arrive and there's employees complaining the entire time and every time. No problem...they seem stressed. I just like the food. The biggest issue is that there have been so many times I get there and they are closed completely or will not let anyone in. This past time they had a small rush of people and then there was one table left about 15 minutes to midnight. I had to handle something on my phone really quick and one employee went and locked the door randomly during that time and that was that . I tried to call the number to see if I could get some information but they didn't answer and the message at the end is completely inaccurate. I am currently watching everyone walk up to the locked doors in total confusion. I am tired of it. Since I can't rely on this location and there is no notice except a possible sign on the door (normally handwritten) I will have to stop coming here for a long while and warn others about the inconsistency until something changes. read more

Lovely late-night staff! Came here for some midnight feasting, and our server Georgette and "Rock Star Grillmaster" (a well-deserved title) Dakota made this a great Waffle House visit. I decided to order the hashbrown and the server asked me "you want any fixings with that?" - Long story short - I got sausage with gravy over my hashbrown!!
