Moldy rice pudding in clear container
    Lindsay S.

MOLD! I used to order here quite a bit and liked it. Today I ordered a kabab salad and decided to add some rice pudding to my order and the rice pudding came with so much mold. I am not going to eat one bit of my order now. I feel so sick to my stomach and I ordered this on doordash so this was a huge waste of my money. FLAME KABAB ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL PEOPLE?

Great little place gyro meet is off the rotisserie you can't find that in a lotta places. And the French fry's are like hot best McDonald's fry's you'll ever get best fry's I ever had in my life.

    #10

I came across this place because: 1. I was SUPER hungry 2. It was close by 3. It had only 1 $ rating on Yelp I didn't have too high of expectations as the place was empty around dinner time, and it just seemed like any other kebab/halal type place. We walked in and were warmly greeted by the man at the counter. We both ordered a #10 which had one beef and one chicken item. It looked and sounded delicious. All of their main menu items were around $10-12, which was a little more than I anticipated. Food took a little while to make as they were making it all fresh. Although we were in a hurry, we apprecited the MTO meal a lot. The food came out piping hot! There was rice, our beef and chicken, a side of salad, some stewed chickpeas, and a side of yogurt sauce and salad dressing. DELICIOUS! Especially the chicken. GET THAT CHICKEN!

    6. Chicken and Beef Tika Kabab
    Jordan M.

Food: I did not know this place existed until now! I ordered the chicken and beef tika Kabab Chicken Combo. The beef was a little dry and kinda hard to chew. The chicken and rice were great and tasted really good. My boyfriend ordered the lamb Gyro which was delicious! It was huge and super flavorful. Overall it was a pretty good meal. Service: when my boyfriend and I arrived at the place to pick up the food, there was a small debate on whether or not my boyfriend got a soda. The man at the counter went back and forth a little with my boyfriend. In the end my boyfriend was correct and he did get a beverage. It was not a terribly rude encounter, however, his tone did seem a little condescending. Other: the guy at the counter was not wearing a mask either. I personally find wearing a mask a high importance, especially in food establishments. My boyfriend and I were wearing masks however, I feel more comfortable if the staff members also wore one as well.

Their wings are so good... they come with feathers too. I didn't like their falafel, tasted somewhat off, i don't know how to describe it.

I literally dream about the food this place puts out. It's slightly ridiculous. It's just sooooo flavorful and downright delicious. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! The owner is so friendly too. I just wish I could go more often! My mom is coming to town soon and I am definitely bringing her to Flame Kabab - I know she will love it as much as I do.

A fantastic addition to the Cecil County dining scene. Flame Kebab has the standard kebab shop offerings--gyro, chicken and beef kebabs, and kafta (ground meat kebabs)--in addition to a couple of afghani specialties and American dishes like burgers, shrimp and wings. Every kebab I've had except the chicken kafta was great--beef kafta is good, but chicken was a bit dry. Rice pilaf is flavorful and fluffy. Only uneven spot are the veggie sides--potatoes and eggplant are great, while beans and okra were uninteresting and dry. (Edit: the owner invited me back to try the chicken kefta again, and it was fantastic the second time. Moist, tasty, and spicy!) Special note: the family kebab platter is 6 kebabs and a bunch of rice, salad, and two veggie sides. Fantastic deal.

Chicken and lamb over rice with extra sauce.

Excellent food!! My daughter and I stopped in to get a bite. It is a rather small place, and they do not have seating during Covid so it's carry out only at this time. But the food, wow. I ordered the lamb and chicken over rice and it came with a small salad as well. My daughter ordered the chicken Kafka kebab over rice, and got it spicy. Both were delicious. Loved the white sauce! Hers came with chickpeas in a red sauce that was just out of this world. Can't say enough good things about the food. The employees were very nice, polite and answered our questions about the food, and gave us great recommendations. We will definitely be going back!!!

Air conditioner was broken making it very hot and uncomfortable inside. Pricing was inconsistent and didn't make sense. Apparently rice doesn't make you thirsty so some of the meals do not come with a drink but you still pay the same price. Food was delicious and flavorful and the meats were tender.

    Great sandwich and great service.

Dinner and a show, I'm down! The show was good, but the food was just fine. Everything leaned too sweet for my liking. Our group of 4 got the $30 each 7 course family style meal. Spicy (not even that spicy!! (2/5 spice level IMO)) chicken and the eggplant dish at the beginning were my favorite dishes.

From the outside, it doesn't look like much; in fact, it looks like a bit of a dive from outside. But when you walk in, you are transported. The design of the restaurant is so special - community tables, pillows, tapestries, waterfall features, tiles, and belly dancing. The food was a little inconsistent. We shared many dishes: Bastilla (baked layers of filo dough, eggs, chicken, almonds, sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugar); hummus (chickpeas, tahini, crushed garlic, lemon juice, sprinkled with paprika and olive oil, served with pita bread); Spanakopita; salad trio (eggplant salad, cucumber and tomato salad, and carrot salad); lamb tagine (stew of lamb, onions, and roasted peppers topped with honey and served with rice); Moroccan chicken with harissa cumin sauce; mujaddara (cracked bulgur wheat cooked with lentils and caramelized onions); and mint tea. I wish they didn't serve bottled waters, and the food was mostly good but not the most consistent. Our mujaddara wasn't served with the yogurt sauce listed on the menu, and the lamb with the tagine was incredibly fatty, making some of it inedible. The mint tea was really really really sweet - like syrup! I also wish the bastilla had a little less powdered sugar (I like on the dish, but it was A LOT of powdered sugar), and it was quite dry. But the eggplant salad, carrot salad, hummus, and mujaddara (even without the yogurt sauce) were great. I would happily have eaten just those dishes. They were busy - it's a popular place - but service was also a challenge. It took us almost a half hour to get the check and pay. I had to ask for the bill twice and then it still took a while to get it, for it to get picked up, and for it to come back to us. It's pretty bad if I'm considering walking up to the bar to get the check and pay. I loved the ambiance and the character. I loved that you can't tell how amazing it's going to be inside when you see the outside of the building - it's a surprise for sure. Our experience was that the food was a bit inconsistent, but it certainly was a fun meal.

**GOAT ITEM** FATTEH **Michelin Star Restaurant**…read more I love venturing out of our comfort zone and trying restaurant sub-types that I don't have where I live, such as Lebanese. Suraya is located in Fishtown a bit outside the city, but the Uber here was totally worth it. This restaurant is PHENEMONAL! We decided to go with the "A taste of Suraya" for $78 a person. Of course, we started with the Hummous, Baba Ganoush, Muhammara, Labneh, & Taboule which are basically 5 separate hummus that are served as an appetizer. 3 of the hummus I really liked: Hummous - chickpeas seasoned with tehina, lemon & garlic Baba Ganoush - charred eggplant seasoned with tehina, lemon, garlic & urfa biber Muhammara - roasted red pepper and walnut dip * seasoned with chili, cumin & pomegranate 1 Hummus was ok: Labneh - strained yogurt finished with za'atar, tomatoes, cucumber, olives & mint 1 Hummus I wouldn't eat again: Taboule - parsley salad with cucumber, tomato, scallion & mint * seasoned with lemon The absolute star of the night was the Fatteh. The Fatteh is: warm chickpeas, eggplant, crispy pita & tehina yogurt * almonds, cashews & brown butter. An absolute GOAT (Greatest of All Time) food item you can get anywhere. I could eat this thing all day every day. I've never had anything like it anywhere else. As my hot food item, I chose Makanek which were little lamb sausages. I thought they were fine, not out of this world good, but solid. To drink, I had a $16 Throne of Beauty which is: mezcal, ancho reyes, contratto bitter, pineapple, sesame orgeat & grapefruit Unfortunately I couldn't taste any mezcal in the drink so it was basically a fruity drink and not very good. I also had a $17 Obscured Hallows (Old Fashioned): elijah craig bourbon, rittenhouse rye, sherry, brown butter, semolina & date It was much better and exactly on point. For the entree, I had Kawarma: slow roasted lamb * baharat, dill yogurt, cucumber & pomegranate salad The server recommended this as his favorite item on the menu and it did not disappoint. I thought it was absolutely perfect. I made a reservation online. This restaurant is absolutely worth the uber trip outside the city. The food is top notch as was the service. Looks like a cute little area with a lot more bars and restaurants all up and down the street. Highly recommend! Get out of your comfort zone and try some Lebanese food, if you haven't had any!

We had the prix fixe menu and enjoyed all of our items. It's right around the corner from Laser Wolf which is my very favorite restaurant. I wish we hadn't passed Laser Wolf on the way, because I couldn't help thinking all through dinner that the food was very good, but not quite as good as Laser Wolf's. I will say that Suraya wins for dessert. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had kanafeh which is one of my very favorite desserts. The kanafeh was one of the best I've had.
