sweet potato roll, cucumber roll, inari sushi
Sarah S.

i got the cucumber roll, sweet potato roll, and inari sushi here. the cucumber roll and inari sushi were exactly as expected (very good!) but the sweet potato tempura was the perfect texture. perfectly crispy and soft. although i don't eat fish, the veggie sushi here is top tier! they also have cheap and good drinks. we sat in the same room as the bar and it was a little loud from the blender. it bothered my parents but not me. the service was fast and good

What a great surprise! Asian Gourmet was so much more than I was expecting. Great portions, delicious food and an inviting staff make this a great stop. Stopped in while passing through Barre and am so glad we did! Try the chicken pad Thai. You won't be disappointed!

So we have eaten here at least once or twice a week for the past month or more since moving to the area and this place rocks! The sushi meals are awesome and just look at the Sushi Regular pic!!! The drinks are wonderful which the young lady bartender makes such as the Mai Tai, Frozen Mudslide, Scorpion Bowl, etc. Well worth a visit or two!!

My boyfriend and I were really craving some Asian food and low and behold Asian Gourmet came up on our radar. The food was absolutely delicious. I cannot recommend their sushi enough and the entrees were delicious as well. We got the Vermont, Sunset, and spider roll. If you ever have a craving for sushi in Vermont I'd highly recommend Asian Gourmet.

My BENTO BOX!

So I finally made it to Asian Gourmet, and what a pleasant surprise! I was able to not only have some delicious food with a lovely atmosphere, but I ran into some of my fellow YELP family!! What can I say? Great food! Great atmosphere! Surrounded by wonderful people! Equals an awesome night out! When I stepped inside the restaurant it was sparsely seated, but when I went around the corner to dine at the bar area, that's where the predominate number of customers were seated, or on the patio outside. My server suggested the Bento Box which was way more food than I was expecting, but gave me a little of everything to try, which was AH MAZING! I had sesame chicken, salad with Ginger dressing and Avacado, egg rolls, brown rice, and Goyoza dumplings (these are filled with pork), and a Salmon roll- had to throw in the sushi! Overall, I had an excellent time out with great conversation and a meal to match! I got there around 7:15pm and the place was almost cleared by 9, so this is not a late night hang out for night owls, but is still a terrific place to gather with friends and meet new ones!

We are in the area from Christmas. While most places closed, they remained open. With the low star reviews, I really didn't expect much at all. We ordered the Mongolian beef, and a few sushi rolls. I have to say, it is A LOT better than I thought! The Mongolian Beef is a bit on the sweet side for me, but it was still very flavorful and tender. And the sushi rolls were great! Better than some places in Boston. The basic rolls like eel avocado, spicy tuna, etc are only $5! We were very happy to give this place a chance. The waitress who served us was very nice and helpful~ She came by many times to check on us. We will be back for sure!

The quality of sashimi is unparalleled (especially for the area). The tempura is not heavy or greasy. The grilled lamb chop was amazing. Each week it's a new surprise menu! Kitsune is back at Talta Lodge summer 2023! Every Thursday from 5:30pm-8:30pm on the Talta lawn for the Little River Summer Series, an outdoor event featuring Kitsune menu, beer tent, live music, lawn games, fire pits, stream to wade in, and gourmet s'mores by La Shack. Family friendly and even (leashed) dog-friendly event. No tickets or fee to enter! Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm-9pm back in the downstairs lounge space - reservations recommended. For the past winter (Oct2022-Mar2023), Kitsune was located as a pop up on Thu, Fri and Sat at Talta Bluebird with a limited number of tables. Reservations are recommended for the sit down dinner on Thursdays. And your liquor tab will be charged separately - Talta keeps these funds but the tips do go to the Kitsune crew. Fridays and Saturdays are a limited bar menu. There is some take out available.

Our bill was over $200 for two people and the time between appetizers and entrees was significant to the point the server comped one of our apps. The food isn't seasoned properly and the oysters were... not Good. Firstly you only get 4 for $16 and each one has a mound of shaved ice on top I could only eat one and that was a struggle. Very bizarre. I thought maybe the ramen would be good but nothing has much flavor at all. I would only recommend the bar and maybe pass on food

I've been coming to Koto since I was a kid and always enjoyed the pomp and circumstance. If you…read morehave kids or a special occasion it's definitely worth considering and doing the hibachi "show" and trying to catch some of those flying veggies in your mouth. Service is also quick and I think food is dependably pretty good. I like that the grill meals come with salad (dressing is quite tasty) and soup and that portions are very generous for whatever you get hibachi wise. I got the sea scallops and steak combo. They had heard salmon but didn't have any issue when I clarified on my intended order and ended up getting both. Everything was delicious and it's nice that the meal, which can be meat heavy, also comes with a good amount of veggies. One of my kids had their own version of the hibachi and enjoyed their salmon while the other one got the teriyaki non-hibachi, which has a slightly different flavor. We also shared some sake bottles and nigiri. Maybe it shouldn't come as a surprise that our bill as a family of four was over $150 without tip, but it does make going out to Koto more than once or twice a year tough. I noticed the same items for their lunch menus were considerably cheaper so that might be the play if you are flexible timing wise.

Poor service and mediocre food. Really that sums up the whole experience…read more Our server Jeff took our drink order in a rushed fashion and then Was off. While we waited for our drinks to arrive, we all perused the menu for last minute additions and there was Jeff asking to take our appetizer and food order. Maybe he was trying to be efficient but really, it was just rushed. Didn't see him for a longer than usual wait and then drinks, soups and salads came altogether and our 'chef' arrived and started setting up. Jeff returned and when we asked a question of him, his answer was curt (rude really) like he expected us to know the answer. He never returned to fill up empty water glasses, ask for drink refills etc. This was supposed to be a celebratory night, several birthdays in our party of 6. Getting him to show up and be helpful without attitude was like pulling teeth and his customer service skills were lacking and felt like he was doing us a favor waiting on us. The food was mediocre at best. Our hibachi orders comprised of upcharged Filets with seafood. And while I don't mind paying a premium, I should get the premium food to go along with that price, sadly all of the steaks were overcooked and the seafood was dry and rubbery, tough to chew! Two of the guests actually spit out the seafood as inedible. The steaks were ordered either rare or medium and sadly, everyone got well-done. The seafood was left on the cooktop far too long as well! Overall, the experience lacked the enthusiasm of someone happy that we were there paying bills. At $450 I expected much more. I've had better meals here, this was not one of them! Not really interested in returning any time soon.

First-time customer here -- and I'm so glad I found this place!…read more I placed a sizable takeout order on New Year's Eve day, arrived 15 minutes before my scheduled pickup time, and everything was already packed and ready to go. The staff at the front desk were kind, welcoming, and incredibly organized. They handed me perfectly packed, piping-hot food, offered me chopsticks, and I was on my way in minutes. Somehow, the food even stayed warm for hours -- the first servings didn't need reheating at all! The quality was outstanding. Everything we ordered was easily the best Chinese food we've had in the region. Even though it's about a half-hour drive from home, it will be well worth the trip, and we'll definitely be repeat customers. I also want to highlight how vegetarian- and vegan-friendly the menu is. There are lots of tofu options, and when I requested vegetarian sauce for the mixed vegetable dinner, they thoughtfully accommodated it. I really appreciated that attention to detail. The vegetarian egg rolls were a rare treat, and the crab rangoon was reportedly fresh and house-made. I'm looking forward to dining in sometime -- the restaurant is spacious yet cozy, with soft lighting and a relaxed feel. Based on my experience, the customer care here is genuinely thoughtful, and the food is fantastic. I'll be sure to upload photos on a future visit! Highly recommended.

The food was by no means bad but it did have that sort of premade microwaved feel to it. I had chicken lo main and It was standard, and I actually really enjoyed their cashew chicken (though it was heavily fried in my opinion which is not something I'm used to with cashew chicken). They have fun drinks like flaming dragon bowls and sake bombs, so not a bad place to go with friends for the experience.
