I came here with a friend, they really liked it but I got an extreme case of food sickness the night after eating here. Maybe I got unlucky, but I won't be returning personally when I figured this would happen and it did - a bit of confirmation bias, but I can't help it. I also found their selection lacking - a lot of basic staples of this type of food were missing or would run out immediately (even when it wasn't that busy) and nobody seemed to refill them for a long time. I found 2 items I actually liked and ate basically nothing else but a bunch of those two things. They also made you wear a dumbass giant glove to touch the serving utensils - clearly, as with how sick I got, it didn't help because the food is what should be watched out for not the other guests. The plan was to go to the China Buffet in Napoleon but they were closed. So we came up the road a bit to Defiance. I wish we wouldn't have. While this buffet offers a lot of choices, none were very good. The best part was the wonton soup, which isn't saying much. The rice was weird, and mostly everything had no flavor. American mix n match to create ur own dish The sushi is good also if you like sushi ..and theres a section with fresh veggies and sliced pork or chicken along with jalapeño peppers or hotustard or hot Chinese chili pepper sauce ..so you can create your own custom dish the way yhat you like it or there's normally like 8 to 10 different kinds of Chinese dishes to choose from up at the buffet and o my the little mini fresh sugared doughnuts are o so yummy!! A typical Chinese buffet in a small strip mall, in a smaller town. I think alot of them look so much the same. The restuarant looked clean. The staff was quick and pleasant. They had a good variety of food on the buffet tables. They had 6 or more different types of sushi. They also have a stir fry/griddle. The food was good. The price was good too. I was here on business so called in an order for Shrimp Egg Foo Young and Shrimp Fried Rice. So you bite into the Shrimp and get that nasty grit in your mouth and you know you just ate a Shrimp that was not deveined but you let it go as that one they missed. NO! This place doesn't use deveined Shrimp. I ended up trying to clean them as I ate but ended up giving up on the meal. I would never return to a place that makes these kind of short cuts because I would worry about the rest of there food. read more

I give this place one star because the food and service probably won't kill you. Otherwise its simply a pig trough of american-chinese dishes. There are no unique or worthwhile reasons to choose this place. The dessert bar includes your choice of literally unwrapped little debbie snacks that are neatly stacked on a tray. They might even be generic grocery brand, since little debbies are more expensive. Good luck if you stop in! The food sometimes looks reheated and warmed over on the buffet table. Last time I was there the sushi counter did not have a dust cover or partial lid protecting it from dust/airborne debris. The sushi moves pretty slowly too, so it sits there for a while. My friend had some fresh veggies and meats grilled up on the flattop and she said it was a watery soppy soggy mess with little flavor. Muscles also sit in a dish of ice out in the open air, no dust cover or lid. And also move slowly. Newly cooked dishes get mixed and folded into the old ones that have been in the hot window for hours. The old food should go to kitchen or staff to eat or thrown away, not mixed. This significantly reduces the 3 hour hot shelf life of the new food. read more

Just happened to be in the area and dropped by for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised. There were many choices , I started with the sushi, then had my food prepared on the grill [ no extra charge], finished with some vegetables and fruit. I try and stay away from fried food. My server was great very attentive and made sure I had plenty of hot tea + she kept the table clear of dishes. The lady at the grill was also extremely pleasant. As far as Chinese buffets go, this has some hits and misses. The hits make it worth it if you plan your courses carefully. The part you can't go wrong on is the hibachi that's included in the price of the buffet (around 10 bucks for dinner). The grill master was very friendly, quick, and had fresh ingredients. He cooked the shrimp very well and the sauce was spicy without being overpowering or runny. The spring rolls and sushi were also good, although the sushi was just chilling on a counter non-chilled. One of the biggest misses was seeing two or three crab legs on the buffet when we first walked in only to find they had removed that tray completely by the first time we went up. Some of the other misses came from the limited Chinese dishes, including the ones with mystery battered meats. They actually had more buffet islands that were non-Chinese in nature (ie fried fish and mashed potatoes). They might have been ok but that's not why I went there. The restaurant is pretty clean and the desserts at the end are well rounded for a Chinese buffet to include a good soft serve station and some Hostess/Little Debbie/Keebler imitation cookies. I'm new to making the best of the limited restaurants in Defiance, Ohio. This one might have the good fortune (cookie) to see me back again in the somewhat near and distant future. read more

Very clean and inexpensive for lunch. The waitress kept the table cleared of dirty dishes and had a very pleasant disposition!

The shrimp was excellent as was most of the food there. The waitress was very friendly. They had a good selection too. I will definitely be back! They also have a hibachi grill! read more
