I was craving some veggie / hibachi fried rice today and wound up here to try their carry out. I was definitely pleased with my experience! Located in a large shopping center with Publix and Champy's, on what I'd consider the Huntsville/Madison cusp, this restaurant seems to do mostly takeout even in non-Covid times. Looks like there was a table or two to sit at back in those times, but Asian House is carry out only for now, and the dining area is cordoned off by a large table. Staff members also speak to you from behind a barrier. The lady I spoke with was masked and wearing gloves at the time of my visit, so all in all great Covid precautions. I placed my order over the phone as I was headed out of my house. The man taking it repeated it back to me accurately, took my phone number, and told me it would be 10-15 minutes. My food was ready when I arrived about 15 minutes later, so that was great! The lady who bagged up my food and took my payment was so sweet and pleasant. She double checked my order, thanked me for coming in, and wished me a nice afternoon. She also made sure to ask if I needed any forks, napkins, etc with my meal. I was very pleased and impressed with the price: two regular sized entrees and an appetizer for $21! There was more than enough food to fill us up. It stayed warm and the fried stuff relatively crispy on the way home. I had my aforementioned vegetable hibachi, boyfriend got sesame chicken, and we split the gyoza. The gyoza is pan fried, with one side rather crispy and the other still that pleasing, slightly chewy texture. It was noted as pork gyoza on the menu, and for once, I could actually taste the flavors of the meat! Sometimes I feel like gyoza gets a sort of generic vegetable-y flavor, but this one didn't. Soy dipping sauce was standard but tasty. Boyfriend described his sesame chicken as "standard sesame chicken, which is not a bad thing." I tasted it and would agree. The chicken came in large pieces and it wasn't overly sauced. I noticed the chicken pieces seemed to be all white meat, which I prefer. My veggie hibachi was really good! It had broccoli, squash, mushrooms, peas, carrots, and onions. Little heavy on the onions for me, but I picked around the excess. Veggies were cooked well. The shining star of both of our meals was the fried rice -- it was delicious! Had that lovely slightly smoky quality to it that comes with the perfect balance of soy sauce and sesame oil. Whatever you get, make sure it comes with fried rice! My only regret is not asking for a little bit more yum yum sauce to pour on top. I have been to five different Asian restaurants only to be disappointed, this restaurant stands alone the food was hot, tasteful, hot, desirable, hot, it was not overcooked the rice and vegetables were not hard, and the restaurant didn't smell like something died. Great Asian food, but a somewhat limited yet mixed menu. Mainly features low mein, fried rice, and hibachi dishes. No broccoli beef or Mongolian beef or other standards typical of most Asian places, but still a nice menu. The food had great flavor. I went with the beef lo mein, my wife went with the chicken. We tried a couple of egg rolls and found them very flavorful. Not my all time favorite, but still good quick Asian food, definitely worth checking out. read more

I give them a four because they're new, the food is very good, and the service is fast. My hesitation is that I did not see any public restroom. (If I needed a restroom, I would probably go to Publix, in the same strip mall. Restrooms there are in the back, to the right of the dairy case.) Asian House's business appears to be mostly take-out, although they have a decent dining area with several tables. I'm glad to see that the place has been nicely fixed up. Yes, I'm giving this restaurant 5 stars, because I think in the back they must have an Asian grandma making the homemade Gyoza (pot stickers), which were delicious! Also got the steak and shrimp hibachi, which was very good, interesting veggies, which were cooked just right (not dead). This was my first visit and the third for my companions. First off, heed the warning on the door to pull it open with an extra bit of force. Inside, the setup is simple, almost like a small fast food restaurant. Despite having a good amount of tables and chairs for a small space, most people place takeout orders. Because of my companions' experience in the past, we planned to eat there. There's no menu on the wall, so you have to pick up one of the takeout menus and order off that. The staff brought our food out to us. It was basically packed as a to-go order sans the bag to carry it all. We asked for small plates since we were going to eat family style and they didn't have any. We had to break apart a small styrofoam container to use as makeshift plates. I hope that this is a temporary set-up until they get settled into a routine and can start using dishes for dine-in orders. We wasted so many containers from our meal! We ordered the beef lo mein, shrimp and scallop hibachi with fried rice, sesame chicken with white rice and two orders of pork gyoza. The primary reason for eating there was because, on a prior visit, gyoza was ordered and taken home and didn't taste as good as they were fresh. I have to admit that the gyoza was good. All the other food was good too in the quick (and cheap) takeout Chinese sense. I overheard that the Yami chicken was like a Chinese bbq chicken. Perhaps I will try that next time. Drinks are purchased by the bottle - water and soda. The staff was very nice and checked on us many times. There are bathrooms in the back of the space - one men's and one women's. On a prior visit, the bathroom was extremely smelly but was pleasant during this visit. I noticed that there was plastic wrap covering the floor drain. The one last tidbit is to watch out for exiting the restaurant. The air pressure that requires a bit of extra effort on opening the main door is more apparent when you leave. MORE SEASONING PLEASE! I visited this restaurant with my husband who wanted to "test the waters". I did not really want anything because the menu was a bit limited and I prefer to have my food served in glass dishes with flatware. When dining in, you food will be served on plastic dishes with plastic utensils. My husband decided to order the hibachi chicken with rice and added a side of spring rolls. It was a very generous serving so I shared it with him. The food was just okay. I would have preferred more seasoning and a variety of vegetables. The rice was more of a steamed rice but it was good, not greasy or salty. The food was edible, but I was simply hoping for something more flavorful that would make me want to return since I am staying in the area. This restaurant was clean and casual. This little restaurant took the place of a Chinese restaurant that my family and I really loved. My mom isn't crazy about it but she's not a Japanese cuisine person. The food was super flavorful except for the miso which could've been saltier to me but there were a lot of seaweed pieces & tofu. The lady was incredibly nice too! Very friendly staff, but not without warts... as an example a Chinese restaurant that does not have hot tea, no glasses of water only bottled water for sale... Understand that these are minor things, but if they paid attention to the feedback it could convert a good place to being a great place. I had the Hibachi Vegetable with Spring rolls. The Hibachi Vegetables were out of this world! The Spring rolls were ehhh... obviously they were out of a bag from Sams Club, but not that bad. Overall I rated them a three as they just opened and hopefully will work these things out. I will go back though because I have faith that they will improve. This is by far the best take out restaurant in the area. The place is clean and the food is always hot and fresh. I've heard that a new Asian restaurant had opened in Madison and the reviews were good. I went in and ordered take out. We had the hibachi chicken and General Tso's chicken. I had the hibachi chicken and it was fantastic! It came with fried rice and mixed vegetables. I'm very picky with take out food and this completely exceeded my expectations. My wife loved the General Tso's chicken. Also, it comes with yum yum sauce and that made the dishes even better. Definitely give this place a try and hopefully it will stay around.
