This is what sweet and sour chicken looks like from every restaurant I have ever ordered from.

I ordered takeout on a Friday night for the first time. I ordered sweet and sour chicken with white rice. I got 4 cold chicken tenders with a big bowl of thick pink substance. This is not sweet and sour chicken from any Asian restaraunt I have ever went to. When I called and told them my meal was not what I wanted she told me that she would not replace it. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me there was no manager on duty. On a Friday night. RIGHT.... Never again.

    Brown house salad

Old salad with brown pieces. Got a spicy tuna roll that looked and tasted like it was made yesterday.

    Tuna roll

The last few times i have been here the fish isn't very fresh and it is chewy, not choice cuts of fish as sushi should be. I hope they will take more care in the preparation of their sushi because in years prior it was great. I am happy overall with their warm food- and service is good.

Unfortunately, the one precious triumph didn't triumph this time. -- Beef Teriyaki: Available in two sizes, so I ordered the small one as a prelude to a combo. Previously (at least twice), it had been reliably gingery in its full coating of sauce, and that came through deliciously. On the downside, very tough and chewy this time, to the point where it was difficult to take a bite, and near impossible to chew it to the point where I could swallow it. Flavor well above average, but overall, a little below average. -- Chicken Wings (on a combo): Lightly breaded, very crispy, not much flavor under the crisp, but good vessels for dipping-- assuming you can get past the breading. A little above average if you can, a little below average if you can't. -- Boneless Ribs (on a combo): Bright red shellac but funky hoggy taste. No char. A little below average. -- Chicken Fingers (on a combo): Barely crisp and low meat-to-batter ratio. A little below average. -- Pork Fried Rice (on a combo): The wings may be one thing, but this is the probable deal breaker. Yellow rice at a Chinese restaurant? What is this, Florida? I'll give it that it's moist, and there's probably a pound of it packed into a combo, but the flavor doesn't go, and it tasted as if there were gobs of butter in there-- which also don't go. For a $3 upcharge you can get lo mein, and I don't find that upcharge unreasonable after enduring this rice (which was more endurable the first time when the teriyaki were excellent). Below average. One thing I've noticed in my 3 or 4 visits here is that some of the appetizers are pre-cooked and sitting in fry baskets over the oil, waiting to be freshened up. Sometimes you don't notice it in the tasting, but sometimes you do.

Their food has been fresh, and flavorful -- and in the area, consistently good Chinese food can be hard to find. Unfortunately, we need to resume cycling through other area Chinese restaurants as the situation I am going to describe below has happened on more than one occasion. Fortunately, special food preparation requests I make are not due to any severe allergies or special dietary requirements -- they are really just about personal preference. I totally understand that this is a "first world problem", and nothing to lose sleep over. But I am sharing this for those of you that MAY have medically necessary dietary requests/severe allergies, etc. My order: 1 large Wonton Soup 1 Moo Goo Gai Pan 1 General Tsao's chicken (NO Veggies please) 1 Roast Pork Fried Rice (NO Veggies/Onions, only Roast Pork and Egg). 3 Steak Teriyaki 1 Bottle of Diet Coke Hot Mustard Duck Sauce Ginger Soy Sauce I was pleased to see that the General Tsao's chicken for my son had no veggies, as requested. Unfortunately, the Roast Pork Fried Rice had MORE than enough vegetables for both the General Tsao's AND the Fried Rice combined -- so two family members would not eat -- and it was specifically ordered for their lunches only. The Diet Coke I received was a 16oz Bottle and NOT a typical 20oz Bottle. I probably should not have assumed that a $3.00 of Diet Coke would be 20oz, so that's my bad. But 16oz bottles are not packaged for individual sale and at $3.00 it quite a bit of markup. Mistakes happen, no big deal - but when one does an online order AND leave a generous gratuity for whomever coordinates getting the order to the kitchen and to the counter, I would expect that the order would be double-checked/confirmed to be accurate. When I arrived today at the typical lunchtime (12:30pm EST), my order appeared to be the only Take Out order waiting to be picked up, and the dining room and bar were not crowded. So while honest mistakes happen, as I mentioned -- it's clear that someone was able to see/accommodate the special request for the General Tsao's, they should have accommodated the fried rice request or contacted me to see if I still wanted it. The food I had (no special requests for mine) was fresh and delicious. My finicky vegetable and onion hating folks won't eat the rice and turned their nose up at the 16oz bottle of Diet Coke (which they have always done, saying the taste of the soda between the two bottle sizes just isn't the same -- no idea if that's true but they swear it is). Special Dietary Requests? Make sure you either Call and/or triple check before you leave the restaurant so you don't get all the way back to your house (a different town) before you find out and have some hungry, disappointed folks to deal with.

Large complex in the thick of a major cluster of restaurants and shopping centers in Leominster,…read moreright off Route 2. Their features include an all-day Sunday buffet, a hibachi room, a lounge, a semi-private room, bands on weekends, comedy on Wednesdays, trivia on Thursdays, and combination plates available at lunch and dinner. Reviews here don't respect the food here, but I think a) it's definitely nowhere near elite, b) it's gotten somewhat of a bad rap, and c) it seems to be improving. Much of it depends on what you order and whether it's from the buffet. -- Sunday Buffet: The number of stations has dwindled from 3 to 2 (plus a dessert area), but that actually helps with the turnover, which is critical for a buffet. Many of the items are either bland or have been sitting a while, but I can always find 2 or 3 items that still make it worth it. And at $20.95 for both quantity and variety, a very good value. -- Hot and Sour Soup: Thick but not gloppy, and a very pleasant mouthfeel and spiciness. -- Lobster Sauce: More great mouthfeel, plenty of gentleness and flavor, but much of that flavor is salt. -- Pork Fried Rice: Had on both combos and the buffet. Medium color, minimum flavor. -- Egg Rolls: Tried on the buffet and on combo plates. They're extra crisp, but still delicate and bendy, with a filling of mostly cabbage that's both crisp and moist. Pork and five spice flavor is very pronounced and very delicious. Even though I prefer a celery-based egg roll, this one is elite, bettering probably 80% of the celery versions out there. These are hand-made, not industrial. -- Sweet and Sour Chicken: The crisp fingers might be industrial. Not much meat or batter flavor, but the thin sauce has plenty, including a very sour component that outshines the sweet. That sauce is thinner than most, so while you lose the cling, you avoid a chemical tasting glop. Overall, good. Pro tip when having via the buffet: grab some pineapple chunks from the dessert station. -- Chicken Wings; From the buffet, these certainly look industrial (Weaver or Swanson), but they're actually pretty good if you settle into accepting that they're breaded and not the 5-spice-and-ginger kind. I'm on the fence. -- Peking Ravioli: Tried on the buffet. The Fireball-sized sausage in the center has some nice flavor, but the wrapper is too thick, stiff, and starchy for my liking. -- Teriyaki: Beef version tried on a combo, steaky but dry. Definitely needed the duck sauce for both moisture and flavor. Chicken teriyaki from the buffet was actually fresher and slightly juicy. -- Boneless Ribs: Thin, glazed with both red and clear, but ultimately a dry and needing the duck sauce. Some light char added a flavor dimension. -- Shrimp Fried Rice: Ordered as part of a combo, this arrived as a large pile, with fresh grains, not the darkest, but not lacking flavor. And definitely not lacking shrimp. I took a chance and this paid off hugely. Some good, some not so good, and some very good. Not enough good to get the 4, but no way is this a below-3 joint.

The server also took it upon herself to add an 18% gratuity tip that totaled 30$.
