What a prize! This is by far the best Asian restaurant I've ever eaten. We were here with a total of six guests. We each ordered ONE entree then shared with all. Really great for what it is--pan-Asian cuisine done in Yuma. Singapore noodles were done the way I recall them being done in London (a first back on US shores for me--have tried throughout CA and AZ). Not too great. Every dish tasted the same. Our waiter kept disappearing for long periods. I guess they changed cooks, because the dishes and sauces didn't look the same as they had last time we visited. read more

Update, We decided to give them another try and so far, so good. The lunch specials are a great value and vet tastey! I like their sushi. Updating again... They seem to have gotten cheap here. Portion sizes are much smaller, and they started using disposable plastic cups for soy sauce and wasabi for sushi instead of the nice dishes they had before. read more

This place is absolutely THE BEST! We loved the Crab Rangoon, the Pork Fried Rice and the Pad Thai we ordered on our first visit and so we ordered it again for take-out! This restaurant offers both tables and booths, and is extremely CLEAN. The tables and booths are set with PINK CLOTH NAPKINS and the wait staff is the friendliest in Yuma! Prices are more than reasonable and the sushi, (given as a bonus with our take-out), was the best around. Having frequented the two "buffet style" Asian restaurants on our last visit and finding them to both be sub-par, this place was a glorious find. Nice atmosphere friendly service and the food was good. This was the second time we were there the first time was not long after they opened and the noise was really bad. during this most recent trip the noise level was at a minimum which was a good thing as there were six of us and we could hear one and other without any trouble. read more

The service was very slow at the begining. I was using my phone to check into yelp and I think he saw I was on yelp checking in. It improved quickly after that. THANKS YELP! The sushi was middle of the road but the Kung Pao Shrimp was really really good. A little pricey but it was good. Atmosphere was a little off for me. The pink napkins etc. but maybe thats just me since multiple asian restuarants have this. I will return for sure. read more

Good portions, decent prices, the sushi is cheap and we got a lot of pieces. The server did get one of our orders wrong, possibly due to the language barrier but he ate it anyhow. Considering how much food we ordered for 2 people, the total bill was cheaper than expected and food was good too. My wife and I eat here at least once or twice a month. They have the best sweet tea in town. We have almost never had any issues here, just wish that their restaurant was a bit bigger. The waiters and hostesses are always friendly and courteous, very professional. The only problems we ever do have is sometimes we have to wait awhile to be served and sometimes there is a language barrier but that is easy to get over. Anyway, We highly suggest people eat here than at a buffet! read more

This place is good in Yuma, if it was anywhere else it would not be nearly as good. The prices are ok and the food is somewhat good, it's better than other places here in Yuma. The customer service that I've experienced hasn't been the greatest. I called to put in an order and I clearly said "I'd like to order for delivery" when I called they said my order was already out, an hour later, I had to go pick up my food so they didn't understand that I said "delivery" so I would encourage them to hire some people who can actually understand when you order something, and I'm not saying that in a mean way it's just a fact. My satisfaction with this place has gone down significantly. A lot of the food on the menu is really spicy, last time I checked orange chicken wasn't supposed to be spicy, I however could be wrong. read more

picked up dinner size kung pao chicken for 8.95. ~ 7.5 / 10 rating on food. had a lot of vegetables, a little too much celery IMO but not unbearable. was enough for 2 meals. service was good and quick. when i called in order i was told it'd take 10 minutes, again quick. interior is nice. reminds me of a mini and more formal version pf changs. i would recommend. read more

Definitely the best Chinese food in Yuma with a very wide selection of other Asian cuisine. Of course, I happen to also love this place because it's where I met my boyfriend, but the food is delicious, and the staff is always friendly and the service is fast. Plus the portions are massive. Not the best asian food I've had but it's probably one of the best places in town. They have an array of asian dishes Thai, Japanese and Chinese I enjoy there lunch specials including their bento boxes. Their quality is not consistent sometime we get sushi rice or long rice with our meals, the dumpling & gyozas in the bento boxes sometimes come cold or hot. It's a toss up but it fills my asian craving while visiting my family in Yuma. read more

Asian star is a very pretty restaurant and they play soothing music while you eat but the service here isn't as great. The past few times I came here we had to wait a while to have them take our drink order although only a few people were dining when we got here. Also the past few times they messed my order up and didn't listen when I said my drink and gave me something totally different. They are ok but don't expect great service or great food. read more

I ordered the Tom Ka soup vegetarian and all it had was tomatoes in it. Not even mushrooms in it as the menu describes. When it was brought out to me I asked if this was the correct soup as traditional Tom Ka is in a white coconut milk broth. The server told me they just put a little in theirs. I ordered 3 rolls and Lo Mein for pick up. I saw at the register that they had a special of buy one roll get another one for free, so I asked the older lady if that special was applied to my order, she said yes. I was suspicious by the total of the order, but I didn't want to be disrespectful to the older lady (late 40's in age) so I paid it. I got home then looked at my receipt, THAT LADY LIED to me about applying the discount. This was my 1st time going here and it will be my LAST time going here again. I will get my sushi from another place that actually gives you some fish in the rolls instead of about 80% rice. read more

This is by far one of my favorites in Yuma. I started off with the veggie rolls, then to the shrimp tempura, and finally my favorite of all the tiger roll. All excellent and delicious. Changed my Vote due to better customer service.... I recently ordered food and the first time the order was wrong. I called them back and they fixed the order as well as gave us some fried bannas pretty tasty by the way. The manager gave me a call the next day and apologized for the ordering going wrong and made things better by giving us our meal the next night for free they went a long way to make me feel better about taking my business there we will go there again the food is excellent and the presentation is beautiful. read more

I got there about 8:30 my friends already ordered. they were eating their soup. I was the second to get my food. I had to ask several times for my drinks. I had no napkins. I was almost done with my food and my friends did not all have their food. We asked the waiter and he told one of the 2 friends that still did not have her food that they were out of that dish. So, she got more soup then. We felt like children having to continuously raise our hands to ask for things that we needed. Good thing is that this place will be out of business soon. I did take out. On the phone she said "what do you want" very rudely when I asked for take out. When I went to pick it up, the lady fought with me in substituting the white rice for noodles. She said only on birthdays you can get noodles. So, I refused the food. Every time I been there, all the ladys are rude, unreasonable, and don't care. I will not be going back here again. I don't understand why people say great customer service, they see you as walking dollar bills verse treating you as an actual human being. read more

Very disappointing experience here last night. Been here a few times and it's been decent, but last night I experienced some of the worst costumer-service of my life. The waiter seemed to be actively trying to avoid us. He would pass our table and look the other way. When one of our party received a poorly-made Thai iced tea, he had to talk the waiter into taking it back and getting a new one as the waiter initially refused to take it back. The waiter never once checked for empty glasses nor offered refills and only did so begrudgingly after 1 of the party finally got him to come over. Everyone got their food at different times, as well... it was a fairly large party, but what we experienced was inexcusable. read more
