What a wonderful place to visit and enjoy the delicacies. Their menu boasts Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cuisine, including sushi, hibachi, and cooked dishes. I love Pad Thai and usually choose this where it's offered. It was a little strange that they did not have peanut sauce, but that did not deter me from ordering it. I chose it with pork. The slices were big and tender and it was overall good even with no peanut sauce. My wife ordered beef broccoli and also a chicken lo mein plate. The noodles are orange colored which I had not seen before, nevertheless my wife loved her plates. The beef broccoli has a light brown sauce... soooooo good! I also had a won ton soup and the won tons were also orange.... Must be thing over here in this part of Georgia... LOL. The soup was good. We enjoyed our dinner tonight. read more

This place was fantastic! Right of the main road in a mountain town. My family was happy to see some variety when looking for a place to eat while visiting for Thanksgiving. The menu offers several Asian dishes and a few dishes that are not so anyone can find something to eat. We ordered several meals that included sushi, fried rice, hibachi style, soups, and appetizers that included egg rolls and crab rangoons. Food was passed around and shared by all, everything was delicious. We ordered sake and several cocktails as well and the ones I tried I enjoyed! The service was great. We had a large party of 7 and not one thing was wrong or missing with what we ordered. Drinks were refilled often and when reordering cocktails they arrived quickly. The lighting was dim, but not too much that you couldn't see what you were eating. Bathrooms were clean. The dining area was a mix of booths and tables. read more

Horrible and super expensive. $8 for 6 pieces of sushi with barely any rice. Boyfriend and I got "empires dinner" steak, chicken, and shrimp. This was the plate. We ate the rice and shrimp first. We ate the steak last and the last few pieces of steak we saw, it was raw. It was $29 ish dollars for the entree meal. I was told that the owner couldn't even partially refund us because "it's just one piece". F****ng ridiculous. Total was $60. The owner and place needs to be shut down. Nothing was done and they didn't care. A health inspector needs to shut it down, and they are lucky I don't sue tf out of them. read more

Called ahead with an order for take away. I arrived about fifteen minutes later and I was greeted quick and handed my food. Everything was packed up in the bag as expected. I ordered the general chicken and it had no flavor. No heat, just bland it was fresh, with quality ingredients. Maybe the chef was having a bad night. We haven't been there in years. Since they stopped the grill in front of you style. We heard they went down hill. So we wanted to give it a chance. The absolute WORST Chinese food we ever had. Everything was watered down from the Yum Yum Sauce to the Sauces in and on the food. The Sushi rolls were dried out even the Dragon Roll was burnt. I MUST SAY THE YOUNG MAN SERVING US WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND PLEASANT. If not for him we would have just walked out. We took some of the left overs for our Animals. They wouldn't even eat them. Is the price commensurate or equitable, given the quality of the offering? Asiano hits the sweet for our rating criteria and earns our five-star rating.First, selection. Asiano offers an almost to-good-to-be true menu that is so extensive, one wonders at first glance whether puffery is at play. Thai, Chinese, and Japanese dishes are on offer -- on all 8 (yes, you read that right, EIGHT) pages of the menu. Dozens of dishes are on offer and are as eclectic as they are interesting. On top of it all, there's a separate two-page Sushi menu. Second, entrees. We put the menu to the test. We asked our wait staff professional for her recommendations. She recommended the Pad Thai. We ordered the "house" version: it's a variant of four different meats in the flavored Thai Noodle setting. These meats include Chicken, Pork, Beef and Shrimp. It was quite good. It gets a 4 out of 5 on our scale simply because the taste of the beef was a bit off.Then we put the Sushi menu to the test. Again, relying on the recommendation of our wait-professional, we ordered two new rolls on the menu, those typically not rated by regular customers. The first roll was the Bahama-Mama roll: Spicy Conch topped with a thin slice of lemon and hot mayo -- $8. One taste and it disappeared quickly, so quickly that we forgot to snap of photo of it. To the eye it appears as a plain old roll of sticky rice with a few additives. But the taste is zesty, refreshing and fulfilling. 5-Stars hands down for freshness, flavor and uniqueness. Our second roll was the Supra roll: Shrimp Tempura, Creamed Cheese, Avocado, Shredded Crab, and hot Mayo. This time we snapped a photo before vanquishing the roll. You'll note from the photo the shredded crab topping. The mixture of the various flavors teases and excites the taste buds. It's truly spectacular. $15. We note, the prices on rolls span $8 to $18. You don't need to spend on the higher cost rolls to experience the wonderful taste-bud sensations of their Sushi. Based on our sampling, offerings off of this menu are all going to be 5-star. Third, service. It's snappy, as in FAST. Again, our seasoned traveler nature cautioned us to suspect the quality might not be there because it was so fast. But this latter notion is not the case. The owners have a highly efficient and experienced cook staff. In a later conversation with the owner we learned Asiano has been in business for 26-years. The experience is plain for all to see. Fourth, setting. Asiano is set in its own building along the main drag (route 76) of Hiawassee. The sit-down area for Sushi-Pad Thai type customers is segregated from the Hibachi Grill nearby. Doors and a plexiglass-like partition blunt the noise and heat customers would otherwise feel in the main dining area. The Hibachi area consists of two U-shaped settee areas with the chef in the middle. There's plenty of dining space in the non-Hibachi area. There's 10 booths that hold about four adults each and 7-round tables with 5-8 chairs each depending on the size of the table. Asiano enjoys a brisk take-out business. From our limited experience, it is easy to infer why this is the case. This place is very underrated. A 3-star rating is very much undeserved as reported here on Yelp. We have lived for extensive periods in Southeast Asia, specifically, Thailand and Laos, and we know the quality and composition of these dishes. One of the owners is of Thai / Lao extraction. This suggests volumes about the owners insight into the preparation of their offerings.Go and enjoy. We suspect you won't be disappointed. read more

I should have learned my lesson at this point that when a restaurant tries to cover a lot of different cuisines they end up not doing any of them very well. The food was bland and didn't even look appealing. We ended up not boxing up what we didn't eat because we knew we wouldn't finish it. I think they would do much better if they just focused on Chinese or Thai and stayed away from sushi altogether. read more

Gave this place a second chance. Egg rolls were so greasy that the grease was rolling down my arm. Ordered Thai curry, one red, one green; maybe I'm mistaken, but isn't Thai curry made with coconut milk? No coconut flavor and basically very bland miniscule amount of sauce with only 6 small shrimp. My friends recommended this restaurant. Asiano, opened on Monday. I'm so glad we went. There is plenty of social distancing. Servers wear masks and clean the tables after guests leave. Asiano offers Chinese, Japanese, Thai Dining. Our party was total of 4 person's. The menu is extensive. Totally recommend a visit to Asiano. The service was on point, friendly. We are staying at the Ridges and ordered to go food for 8 of us last night. The food was awful. We threw away the egg rolls and spring rolls which were tasteless and greasy. I had the Thai chicken cashew. It had no taste, the chicken tasted like plain boiled and the sauce was watery also tasteless. Everyone else's food was horrible as well. I would not recommend this place. We frequently stay in Hiawasse but will never eat food from this place. read more

Two major problems: 1. I selected this restaurant because it has a Tesla charging station. Problem was that someone had parked in front of the station, but was not using it. 2. Covid guidelines not followed. We opened the door: no social distancing; no masks. We turned around and left. I can't rate the food, because we didn't stay. But, really, people. While there are many food choices in the area, there is only one Asian choice and that is Asiano in Hiawassee. Great food, great sushi, and great service all combine to make Asiano a place to go, every day except Tuesday when they are closed. The Mongolian grill for lunch or the Japanese Hibachi anytime along with a menu that offers, Chinese, Thai, and more can find something for everybody's taste. The family-run restaurant of Kuy, Noi, Alex, and Mai Lim adds to the friendly atmosphere. read more

This is the only Asian restaurant in Hiawassee with an awesome variety of foods. If you love soups be sure to ask for the Japanese soup it's delicious. My family eats at Asiano's often. The food and service are excellent. I especially enjoy the Thai curry chicken. It's spicy but still enjoyable. I recommend the the green version, the red is too hot for me. They also have a buffet so you can choose your own items then they cook it for you... And they have hibachi! I ordered chicken Pad Thai, Supra Rolls, Scallop Lo Mien, Egg Rolls and eel rollI do not even know where to start... the noodle are over cooked and soggy. The Pad Thai had a sour smell and taste. The vegetables in the Thai, Lo Mien, and the egg rolls were sour and squishy. The Sushi rolls were not too bad, but had almost to no flavor at all. My family and I tried to eat as much as we could, but we were only able to take a few bites of this sour mess and then threw away $80 worth of food. I am not a local I have drive here from Florida for family and I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. read more

Second visit here, just as disappointing as our first visit. Tried the Hibachi menu , hoping for better results. Unfortunately worse than regular menu. We ate here multiple times while on vacation in the area. Each time, we had great food and excellent service. The sushi was surprisingly good, and various Chinese entrees were very well-done. The Japanese steak entree was outstanding and Pad Thai was also quite tasty. Service was always friendly and prompt. A great bonus is they are open every day, whereas other restaurants are closed on Monday and Tuesday. I highly recommend Asiano. read more

Waiter only visited the table once and did not offer to refill drinks. Getting the check took forever. My family enjoyed the hibachi on Fourth of July. I called in advance for reservations for 5:30 and was seated promptly. The service was excellent and food was brought out quickly. My son ordered edamame and my daughter the steamed dumplings which came out quickly after our drink orders. We also received mushroom soup and salad. Then within a few minutes our hibachi chef came out and verified our orders. We shared our table with another group of three. I was pleased that the staff all wore masks and cared about social distancing. I liked the salmon, my son got a huge serving of chicken which he liked, my husband and daughter got the steak and liked it. Our hibachi chef was a younger man who was very entertaining. I have been to a number of hibachi places in Atlanta and I would rate this was even higher in terms of quality, value, and service! And on a holiday, no less! Everyone left happy and full. read more
