This restaurant is too delicious to pass up! We bought Basil rolls, Tom Yom Soup, Jazmine rice, Thai Curry Puffs and Basil Fried Rice. Everything was so fresh and full of flavor. I don't even like cucumbers but ate all of the cucumber salad that comes with the Thai Puffs! Our food came out fast and the service was superb. I have visited Smile Thai many times over the last two years. I love this hidden gem. They have some in door seating. It has a family owned and operated feel. The staff is attentive and efficient for dine in customers. The food is flavorful, freshly prepared and the portions are more than adequate. If you like Thai hot all you have to do is ask. Probably the best quality food in Dawsonville. Most Thai dishes are Gluten and Dairy free, but the staff was great to make sure of that for us. The flavor and spice was everything curry is supposed to be - comforting, warming, and vibrant. We will definitely be going back! read more

We had the dumplings, chicken satay, green curry chicken, masaman curry beef, mango sticky rice, Thai tea, and a Singha beer. I can't think of a Thai restaurant in America where we've eaten that was even close to this good! Especially with green curry, we've found such a mixed bag of preparations, and my wife is really happy to have found good green curry. The prices are a little high, and the ambiance is a bit low, but the quality of flavor and ingredients more than justifies the price, and the service was fantastic! Having read other reviews, I'm curious what happened the days the two low reviews were written, but hey - to each their own, I guess. The servers and manager were attentive and kind, and the food came out quickly and to order. We don't come through this area much, but we'll be finding reasons to come back! We spent close the $90 including tip for three people on completely inedible food. The calamari appetizer was small, flavorless and unbearably tough. Entrees tasted weird, like spices not typically used in Thai cuisine. Same with the spring rolls they reeked of something that I have never experienced in Thai spring rolls before. I absolutely love this place. I was going to Home Depot to pick up some materials and saw it in the little strip of shops before HD so pulled in. I'm so glad that I did. The chicken pad Thai has got to be some of the BEST pad thai I've ever had. I've probably eaten here over a dozen times by now since I found it in November.
