What bothered me most was feeling that my concerns were not handled in a way that gave me confidence or peace of mind. The matter eventually became serious enough that I pursued it through the legal system. I'm sharing my personal experience so other patients know how important it is to ask questions, request copies of their records, understand exactly what materials and procedures are being used, and get an independent second opinion if something doesn't seem right. I would not return to Accent Dental based on my experience.

So I have had quite a bit of dental work here. 4 implants total. I have never experienced…read morerudeness here, in fact they have been very helpful and pleasant. There have been a few hiccups which they have resolved when I spoke with them. I have a really big fear of dental work. When I first started with treatment I had 2 failed crowns that had to have pulled, one of my back teeth was very difficult to get out I think because the root was too long or something. However the attempt to pull that tooth out was very painful and could not seem to be numbed as well as the other side. They finally called in someone to help and it worked, but it was very painful and added to my anxiety. After those implants were complete I had a front tooth break and needed both front teeth replaced. The financial person, Jollee was very helpful I had seen her at my first visit and she worked with my insurance and me to understand everything financially. When moving to my next procedures Jollee had moved "across" the street to their surgical center, so I had spoken with someone else and that experience was not as clear cut as Jollee, when I had my front tooth experience Jollee was back thank goodness and helped me understand my previous quotes and everything financially up to date. She is pleasant, kind and helpful. I also spoke with her about some of my previous experience with anxiety and why and she offered nitrous oxide and it was extremely helpful. It would be helpful to have an after visit summary as most of the time my anxiety is so high I have very little comprehension after the surgeries. My partner was always there thank goodness and they were able to give her my care plan. Dr. Pham was my initial dentist and now is Dr. Das, all the dentist/ surgeons have been helpful and kind. The environment is very clean and pleasant. I do recommend Clear Lake Dental. A lot of concerns can be alleviated by asking questions until everyone is clear on the expected outcome. If they offer a dental plan outside of your budget say no, and see if there is a less expensive plan. I did not give a 5 star because right now I have been waiting over a week for confirmation about a balance due. I don't want to get a text about a balance due without reviewing a statement. So hopefully they will send via email as I have asked via text and email.

It has to be an absolute emergency if I go to the dentist because I am scared to death. I did not feel ANY pain beginning with several shots to having two upper teeth pulled. I have never had such a compassionate Doctor who listened to everything I said including that it is very difficult to numb my mouth. He gave me extra shots and I felt absolutely nothing. I received my partial today, which fit perfectly. He spent time on everything I needed to do to take care of them. I recommend South Star Dental to family, friends and to anyone reading this review. Billing practice is concerning. Everything is billed under the dentist owner even though a…read moredifferent dentist performed the entire procedure. When I asked about it, they said that's standard practice. Not sure if that's true for dental billing but it's 100% fraudulent for medical especially since the billing provider never even saw the patient. I also had to pay out of pocket for my crown because the office did not submit the notes to insurance and didn't inform me until it was past timely filing. Super incompetent, it would have been paid if they submitted the medical notes.

I immediately let them operate on my entire right side of my mouth, got a second opinion and my home town dentist let me know that there was no signs of cavities. I take care of my teeth and I was in shock to hear that I had 11, almost my whole mouth. They are out for money here, do not go see this doctor.

The Dr. doesn't try to oversell you or recommend unnecessary and invasive treatments which is very important to me. She genuinely seems passionate about her work and cares about patient well-being. For example, I had a small weak spot between one of my teeth that could've turned into a cavity. Instead of telling me I absolutely needed a filling, she educated me on what I should do to naturally strengthen my teeth. I also had questions about other issues (wisdom teeth, tooth sensitivity) which she thoroughly addressed and offered solutions to while never pressuring me to immediately go through with any sort of procedure. The dental hygienist at this office is also to be commended. She was respectful and skilled. The cleaning I received July 2018 was slightly uncomfortable but I could feel that it was because the hygienist was being thorough and really cleaned every nook and cranny. My whole family comes here and it's always a positive experience!
