Went in for a concern of dislocated/trauma injury on my front tooth. They took full mouth xrays with zero consideration for the discomfort I was already in. Perio exam was extraordinarily fast and left me with soreness throughout for days. Dentist only spent about three seconds looking at the tooth I am concerned with, decided on no treatment at all despite the tooth having "probably moved" and told me to eat soup for three months and wait to see if it falls out, basically. No pain management offered at all. Proceeded to list off a bunch of other things I need that was quoted at 14k! Almost no explanation of any of the reasons for the work, didn't point anything out on xrays. And nobody told me their name at any point. I know I need some things done but I won't return to this drive-through dental place that didn't even remotely try to resolve what I came in for and only wanted to upsell me on a bunch of procedures with no options or discussion. read more

Staff were rude and pretty upset by the fact i wanted to take some time to think before accepting a $8,000 loan. Went to a different Aspen, they charged me roughly $2,000 for everything this place attempted to bill me for and then some. Greedy scammers, they should be ashamed. read more

They charged me for crown buildups when they were not done. old crown taken off and new one put on. it cost my insurance money out of their business as well as money out of my pocket. I had taken pics of this because the temporary fell out and I brought this to attention of another's dentist who agreed with me at another business that I went to have the second bridge on the other side put on by them because after bringing this issue up with Aspen the Dentist sent me a letter stating they would no longer be my dentist. instead of admitting maybe a mistake by the billing dept or something and correcting it and giving my money back.I worked in Dental and Medical Insurance fraud and a lot of this was going on unfortunately. read more

With anxiety I don't sleep the night before they do work then to come in and have them change everything. they were them mad at me for getting upset and anxious. Went in for a cleaning and I pointed out that I have very limited opening due to total TMJ joint reconstruction, including rib grafts in the joint. The hygienist was very understanding and worked carefully keeping in mind my limited opening. but when the "dentist" came in to numb the area up because of sensitivity, that was a different story!. She wrenched on my jaw to try to force it open farther, it was evident that it was extremely painful for me. She said "you're fine"...and NO I wasn't fine... then she proceeded to crank on the other side to force it open. I was in horrible pain, and a day and a half later...I'm still suffering! i don't recommend going there for any work....they clearly don't care about the comfort of their patients or protecting an area that has been through trauma! i can't believe they are still in business, and I question wether the woman that worked on me is really a dentist. Absolute worst. Don't expect things to be done right the first time. I had a crown re cemented last month after the dentist said it could definitely be put back in. One month later and it's off again. How can a permanent crown only last a month?! Something was not done right by them if that's the case. When we contacted them they basically said there is nothing they can do and wouldn't fix it for me. The only thing they would do is have me come in for a consultation to talk about doing a New crown, so aka more $$$$$. So I wasted over $300 for nothing. Not a reliable place if that is the case... very disappointed in the dentist and aspen that they wouldn't help me. This is honestly the worst pain I've ever been in my life. They were nice and that is where it ends. What ever they did is terrible and hurts now more than it did before for a tooth extraction. When describing my pain over the phone all the lady said was it was "rare" and tried to get me to SCHEDULE A CLEANING instead of handling the matter at hand. Horrible. Excessive appointments to make money. Everything needs an assessment before they actually schedule the work. They put a crown build up on a tooth that needed a root canal and cost me more money. On top of that the hygienist was extremely rude and condescending. They can't do root canals so just go to another dentist and save yourself lots of time and money. read more

Worst experience ever. Staff does not know what they are doing. Not aware what insurance they take. Main office that made my appointment said yes they take my insurance but when I got to my appointment was told they were not sure. Then when I said I want to make sure I was told the appointment office in née York doesn't know what they take in Ashwaubenon. Many back and forth with my insurance and yes they do indeed take my insurance. Too late I left. I'm not trusting them to take care of my dental needs when they can't even figure out the insurance aspect. Nice try of bait and switch though. So, Aspen Dental got back to me a while back... I never wanted to walk into that facility again!!! I finally got up the courage to go there and tell them my problems unfortunately I had a tooth break on my partial the day before Christmas. They told me that it was NOT a medical emergency and I could go get some cement from a pharmacy but I couldn't eat with it. Sooooooo basically I would spend Christmas without a Front tooth, Having dinner with my family and friends. No thank you! To me that was a medical emergency! Partial was less than a year old and there's absolutely no reason if I bite into a damn Oreo that a tooth should break. Anyway I opted for super glue thinking that would be stronger and I could at least eat a meal with my family at Christmas time without a missing tooth. Well lo and behold I go in there and now my warranty is no longer because I chose to put superglue on my partial!!!! Makes me wonder if the tooth DIDN'T break to begin with, would I have put super glue on it?! Bottom line this is their fault! It does not fit properly, it hurts my mouth and causes sores! Part of the partial goes way up into my nasal cavity which makes the upper portion of my face between my lips and my nose look awkward. I spent all that money expecting perfection or at least close. When I talk I had people told me that it looks like I don't even have any teeth! I was told I could choose the size -that was a lie. I was told to go in there and tell them my problem and I get s*** on again. It's going to take a lot to get me to walk back into that building. And if anyone ever ask me about a good dentist I guarantee you Aspen dental will not be mentioned. I'm extremely disgusted frustrated and pissed off that they basically stole my money. Now I have to go and spend the same amount at a different facility to have it done right! should I have gotten what I paid for! This just makes me sick to my stomach. I wish I could rate it lower than one star. I've waited weeks with a toothache, my appointment was today. I get there and they tell me my appointment had been canceled, that I didn't call back with verbal confirmation a week prior to my appointment. I told the receptionist that yes, I had called back that very same day. She said I could reschedule my appointment. I said no, my appointment is today, I've waited weeks with this toothache and I'm done. She then tells me I could get in right away for an extra cost. Um, no. There'll be no extra cost, my appointment is today. Oh, you can get me in tomorrow? No thanks. I'll take my business elsewhere. Incompetence is not a good way to run a business. Went for cleaning and annual check up on 3/19/2019. When the hygienist, Lisa, was measuring my gums she stuck the probe in so far my gums were bleeding for several days. Not surprisingly she said my gums were bad! The previous year they said they were fine. I had a tooth that has been sensitive to pressure. They took an x-ray and said it was "probably" cracked but she didn't know for sure. The dentist, Alison, had braces on her teeth and spoke very little. Not sure if it was because of her braces, rudeness, arrogance, or just not caring. I asked questions of her and was rarely given a direct answer. Finally the hygienist took me out to see the billing people. She said the out of pocket would be $2,603.50! They wanted to do some bacterial treatment to all my gums and it's not covered by insurance. She said there was also a filling that needed replacing, which the dentist never mentioned. They wanted to pull the tooth that they thought was cracked, and then I would have to decide what to do about whether I wanted an implant or not. Again, the dentist never talked to me about this. I told them I would get a second opinion. I went to RLJ Dental. They were fantastic. The tooth that Aspen said was probably cracked is completely broken in two. They even took a picture and showed me. It is an upper tooth, the farthest back to the rear. The dentist said it had to be pulled, and said he would not recommend an implant. He said it is very close to my sinuses and I would not miss the tooth. It is also not visible when I smile or open my mouth. The hygienist did not come up with the deep numbers for my gums that Aspen did, probably because they didn't jam the probe so far into my gums that they bled. As far as my gums, the hygienist and dentist took the time to show me my x-rays and explain what was going on. They said I needed scaling and planing, there was some visible erosion but no infection, bleeding, or inflammation that would indicate any need to do an antibiotic treatment of my whole mouth. Aspen Dental is all about the money. Every time I go there they add an Oral B onto the bill, even though I keep telling them I have one. I wish I would have checked out some of the reviews on Aspen before I went there. The dentist and hygienist were either rude, didn't like their jobs, or had the worst communication skills I have ever seen! read more

The WORST experience! I have been having pain for over a month from a cavity filling - I can't chew on that side of my mouth and can't brush that tooth. The office ladies were rude and dismissive. I made an appointment for today about a month or two ago. I had called my insurance and they had told me that this location would be able to give me a cleaning. When I scheduled the appointment, I explained to them that I live an hour North, so that if it would be possible, I would love to be able to get the cleaning in too. I would be taking vacation hours to be able to get to the appointment, as I work a Monday to Friday job. I got a call at 10:30 am, 4 hours before the appointment from them explaining that this location actually wasn't in my plan and that i was going to have to make an appointment instead with the Manitowic or Oshkosh location. This would be 2 hours from my home, and also, I wouldn't be able to make this appointment for the same day. Because I was only given 4 hours of cancellation notice, I had already left my home to be on my way down there, and have used my vacation hours to be able to make this appointment. It is not easy for me to get time off, so now I will have to wait a long time to be able to make another appointment after already scheduling for this one, and schedule it for four hours away. To say the least, I am incredibly unhappy at how my time and money were wasted. read more
