I went here with some issues. I had to get a crown on my front tooth, get a partial plate and some sensitivity toothpaste. My crown has a lift in the back, my partial hurts and was cutting my gums in the back so I haven't been able to wear it but the real kicker is I took out a loan to have this work done and was approved for $5000. They only charged a little over $2,000 and then sent me a separate bill for over $1,000! Why would you not charge it all to the loan and then expect me to pay that!? Now it's in collections because I can't make sense out of paying you $52.91 a month and paying $52.91 per month to this loan! I'm so outdone that I can't even begin to consider going back for the repairs... Just horrible!!! read more

I had a couple of teeth that were bothering me. The technician did my xrays she was very nice and thorough Doc checked my teeth said I had a cracked tooth and needed to get it pulled. I then saw the the person in charge of insurance she said she couldn't get through to my insurance and would call me the next morning. Jennifer the office mgr called said my insurance only covered cleaning n xrays. I called my insurance l needed to upgrade it I did that I called Jennifer back and told her that it wouldn't go into effect till 5/1/25. She said she would get it verified on 5/1 and we can se tup an appointment. Nightmare! My own experience was so bad, I definitely would not recommend it to my worst enemy. I arrived prior to a scheduled appointment to find no available parking spaces. i parked in the parking lot of another business, and walked across a busy street. After I checked in, I sat in the one unoccupied chair in the waiting area. After a lengthy wait, I was escorted to another area, and told I "might" see a hygienist or a dentist in another ten minutes. No guarantee. It was treated as if it were MY fault that I was only able to appear a few minutes AFTER my appointment time. i was treated as if I were a lab rat. So my name is Chris Monroe I just moved to mo and I'm a store manager for kfc I was in pain for a few weeks just being out here needing a tooth pulled my 2nd trip was better so my 1st trip polite staff welcoming was there long time for X-rays and to get checked out and the doctor I had 1st time was not so nice he stated why I let my teeth get this bad mind you I'm 24 and since 17 I have not had insurance or made the money to take care of my health told him this and rudely said that's not and excuse .. he did offer to pull my tooth that day I refused he was rude 2nd trip - was greeted with smiles and was brought back right away sat for 5 mins and then was in chair the nurse /helper was so polite made me feel relaxed and kept my mind of it the doctor was when I say this AMAZING i mean it like wow first time I have ever felt good about getting a tooth pulled when he did the needle didn't feel a thing he did a trick to help me with not like needles we talked about food places and ny where I'm from and after talking and making sure I'm numb up tooth was out in 30 sec. he's been doing it for 2 years and first dentist I would say I'm happy about going to he was great and caring .. I would not recommend this dentist. I went for a cleaning as a new customer in August. After getting x rays and entered into the system, they told me they don't do cleanings at your first visit. I tried to schedule my cleaning and they didn't have anything available and couldn't even put me on the schedule because they said they had no dental hygienists. I'm not sure how you can even be open if you have no dental hygienists at all. They said they would call me to schedule a cleaning when their hygienist was back in November and they never called me. I will be going somewhere else after this and now seeing all the other bad reviews. read more

They couldn't even take the time to return my call or verify my insurance was accepted. I cancelled my first appointment after multiple attempts to verify simple facts prior to my arrival. It seems dental practices in North County have no respect for their patients at all. This is my 2nd bad experience in this area with dental groups. All they care about is money. read more

I came in with an appointment and the staff was very friendly and I felt like I received adequate care but when I was done with my x-rays, they had told me to wait in the room and someone would come get me to discuss future appointments and I waited in that room for almost 30min with nobody checking in or updating me. I feel like they forgot about me and wasted my time and when I finally had enough and was just going to walk out, they were finally "ready" for me and then I had to wait again as the worker decided to handle a call and then I was seen and we only spent about 5min until I was done. This should have been a 1 hour appointment and it turned into 2 hours and all I got was x-rays and a consultation. I like Aspen but not this location. The doctor was great though! read more

I would like to start with a warning - I am STILL dealing with an abscess that developed AFTER my treatment from Aspen. (I have a new dentist). I have been waiting for follow-up from Aspen regarding my situation. I have received a few responses to my emails from their administrator thanking me for my patience, and then complete radio silence. Save yourself the head ache and do NOT come here. I have recently had a bad experience at Aspen Dental in Bridgeton, Missouri that has costs me time, money, and a lot of pain. Due to bad judgement calls made at Aspen, I developed an infection and have spent over a month suffering. On September 28th, 2018 I made an appointment at Aspen Dental. I came in because I was having really bad pain and sensitivity in my teeth on my upper right side. I had a cavity in tooth # 3 and # 4. After this visit, the sensitivity and pain continued. I was told to call if I didn't feel an improvement in a few weeks. I called on October 11th and explained that I was still having really bad pain and sensitivity. I was told to schedule another appointment if my pain continued into the next week. I called and scheduled an appointment and was seen on October 17th. The same doctor re-evaluated me and told me that they needed to re-fill a cavity as there was still dark areas left around the filling and they needed to go deeper. He said that aside from this, I was fine. After my appointment my sensitivity and pain worsened. I thought this was because of the work being redone since I was told that I was fine. On November 4th I was brushing my teeth and that's when I noticed that I had an abscess about the size of a dime. The pain and pressure was so bad that I went to the hospital where I was prescribed painkillers and antibiotics for the infection. On 11/6 I was seen by a new dentist where I was evaluated and sent off for a root canal. The bottom line is that I went to Aspen for dental care and was provided with services that left me in a worse state. I called SEVERAL times regarding my level of pain, and I was seen twice and told that I was fine. No antibiotics, nothing. I had to seek hospital care and I have had to make a series of appointments with my new dentist to treat the infected, now completely dead tooth. Having to seek out all of this additional care would have been avoided had I received better care during my first or second visit. I also called several times to let them know I was in pain and I was brushed off. I did call them on November 5th to let them know that I had to go to the hospital - I was told someone would call me back and no one ever did. This was weeks ago and I literally have received no feedback although I have continued reaching out. The dental service and the follow-up customer service has been the absolute worst. I regret coming here for my initial services and I want the service fees waived and refunded to my insurance company. I will continue to pursue this matter although I have not gotten a response from anyone from the Aspen Team. read more

The quality of their work and their modern technology puts this aspen dental over the top for me. Upon entering I am always greeted with a Smile and a hello. Every staff member goes out of their way to be polite. As busy as they are, there never seems to be a wait longer than 10 min. I was excited when my new insurance kicked in (Cigna) to schedule my first appointment with Aspen Dental. I had been going to Sunset Hills Dental Group all my life and not once have a I had an issue with the service, cost or doctors. The person who took all my x-rays had poor hygiene and smelled like cig. smoke which was disgusting considering he kept putting material in my mouth to take the x-ray shots. He had white gunk like you get when you have cotton mouth on both sides of his mouth and I had smell his breath the entire time. I then go back to the room and have the oral hygienist take a look at everything. She was really nice, no issues there. Then the doctor comes in and tells me I need 6 fillings, 1 extraction and 5 crowns! It's only been a year since my last visit to the doctor, so this seemed pretty extreme. I was having issues with 2 of my teeth but never-the-less, I conceded that I may need all this work, after-all they are the professionals right? Well when it came time to breakdown finances, the lady was really pushy to get me to pay over $3,500 the same day for all these services. This was my out of pocket cost and the insurance company was only paying around $300. I called the insurance company and they said that this isn't correct, that they would pay more then what Aspen was claiming, yet Aspen had no explanation of this and insisted on charging me this crazy price that day! They kept pushing financing options after I made it clear that I was not comfortable with that. I didn't understand why they wanted me to pay up front for all these services. Never heard of that before in all my life. What makes it more confusing is what I'm being charged isn't even the guaranteed work I will end up getting PER the doctor....I may end up needing 2 root-canals. He did a "cold test" to see if I needed root-canals and when I "responded normally", he still insisted that its a high probability that I will need the root canals anyway. Well then what was the point of the stupid test? Just to waste time? I seriously was so mad! They were pushier then car salesman.... and they were uncomfortable pushing too which made it even more annoying because it provided THAT MUCH LESS REASSURANCE. I will never, ever go there again and everytime I see that place when I drive by, I will throw up a middle finger. Those 2 hours I was there was 2 hours I will never get back. I really liked this place. I had my first visit yesterday for some pain and an overdue cleaning. This is an amazing staff, and all staff seemed very professional and friendly. The technician,Erika, was very skilled, and was very open about problems and suggestions. The office was very clean and orderly, including the front office. The dentist changed the schedule to accommodate my tooth pain, (extended hours and added my next appointment.) This was incredibly helpful!! The worst customer service I've ever experienced. The first problem I had was when I called the number to make a new patient appointment for a Saturday and booked my appointment only to be told when I went for my appointment that I wasn't on the schedule even after I explained where I made the appointment I was told again that I wasn't on the schedule, no apologies or any type of resolution for the problem. Then when I was finally able to get an appointment I took the dentist advice and started the process for my dental problems to be fixed which I had to increase my limit on my care credit by 3,000.00 dollars only to be rescheduled 3 times in a row with no apologies. I knew I had an infected tooth with a swollen face. Dr. Thai and I decided to have it pulled. he worked 1 1/2 hours on the tooth which caused extreme pain to me because he could not get novocaine to work. after about 15 shots, he finally said it's because of the abscess that Novocain doesn't work. why didn't they tell me that to begin with? then they said come back on Monday cause The other doctor is good. I called to schedule an appointment ASAP because of a pain I was having where a wisdom tooth was removed. I was able to set the appointment and I came in at my appointment date/time BUT whoever input my appointment put it under the wrong name, wrong procedure and wrong insurance. I was then told I would have to come back at a different time. LUCKILY they fit me in and took care of my problem. At the end the dentist was talking about pain medicine and said she would prescribe me some because AMERICANS tend to want it more. I believe she was implying Americans are soft. Wow - that is great to hear - glad you are SOO compassionate. Now it's almost a week later and I'm supposed to go back in to get everything checked out and guess what? I went to aspen dental for a simple teeth cleaning and x rays. I walked in pain free. Now over a month later I'm still having pain and sensitivity with my teeth. It was a terrible experience. The office workers and hygienist are nice, but the dentist is incompetent. They found 3 small cavities which the dentist filled. The workmanship is sloppy and not of good quality. Not to mention they are charging me for unnecessary services like fluoride, multiple x rays that insurance won't cover plus a cancer screening. Do NOT go to Aspen for services or you'll end up regretting it like me. They gouge insurance companies and they aren't focused on resolving the issues for customers read more

I chose Aspen dental because I am a graduate student paying out of pocket for dental care and aspen offers a consultation + teeth cleaning for $140, which I thought was a good deal. I was satisified with the consultation, which is when they take xrays of your mouth and a dentist takes a look to see if there any cavities. I had none. Great. So I just need a teeth cleaning. I went back for a separate appointment for my teeth cleaning, and the dental hygienist, who was very friendly and nice, had no idea what she was doing. She did not know what instruments to use and did a very inadequate job. I left feeling disappointed because I paid $140 when I could have just brushed my teeth and flossed at home to get the equivalent level of care I received. I will not go back and advise others who pay out of pocket and have good dental hygiene at home to not waste the money. read more

This office has caused me nothing but headaches. The first incident, I had an appt. scheduled so I left work early, picked my children up and dropped them off to the sitter (that I had to pay) & drove to the other side of town for my appt. only to get there and see a sign on the door that said they were closed for training. No call or email to reschedule my appt. The second incident, I scheduled an appt. at least a month out to get a mouth guard made, got there and they took impressions. I asked the dental assistant if they needed top and bottom imprints and she assured me they didn't. I got a call a day or so later asking me to come back to get the impressions that I was told that I didn't need so I again have to find and pay a sitter to driver back over to the office. I'm given a date to pick up my mouth guard and I receive a call telling me that it won't be ready when they org. told me and they will call me when it comes in. Over a month goes by w/no call so I call and they tell me that it's there. - When were they going to notify me? I schedule an appt. to go in and pick it up a few weeks out. I get a call a day or so before my appt to tell me that the dr. will be leaving early that day for a wedding so he cannot see me that day. - Really? I call to try to reschedule and I'm told that the office mgr. will call me back - no call. I finally get into the office to get my mouth guard. I contact them a week later to get a copy of the services rendered for my insurance and they tell me that they can't email, mail or fax me the info. because of the hippa laws and that I have to drive all the way back over there to get a copy. And no, I can't send someone to get it for me (even though I can verify all of the personal info on my account. I would not use them again nor would I EVER refer anyone else to them. read more

I had a bridge placed in May of 2015 in Pennsylvania and moved to Missouri in June. I immediately had problems and had to get a root canal. The bridge is also not seated all the way and there is an opening. I went to aspen dental in bridgeton and the dr didn't take an x-ray and told me I just needed a cleaning. So I went to get a cleaning and had 3 other dentists look at it all said it was bad work and needs redone. So I went back to aspen dentist again and the dr finally took an x-ray and tells me there is nothing she can do. So after spending money on a bridge and it not being put on correctly I am out of luck. Aspen is looking just for money and the dr there is unfriendly and didn't even see what could be done. I am unhappy about the practice and I'm glad they can screw people out of their money and do crappy work and not fix it. read more
