I had to go to PA due to a family emergency two days before the surgery. My wife took my son to the appointment. After receiving the bill, she commented that the price was a lot more than we expected; the receptionist said that was pre-insurance and they'd file. When I returned a week later and questioned why we paid the money up front the receptionist told me that Dr. House was no longer in our insurance network. I asked when he dropped out and was first told Jan then May. Regardless sometime between the evaluation and the surgery he dropped our insurance network; telling us didn't make the cut. We found out he was out of the network one week after the surgery. When the insurance paid, our co-pay jumped to $2006.00. I contacted the Dr. office to try to work something out. Our position fell on deaf ears, apparently, they don't believe notifying patients when they drop an insurance network after scheduling a surgery is their responsibility. Somehow that doesn't seem right. Competent surgeon but . . . watch your wallet.

I have had many cleanings and at times had my teeth cleaned up to 4 times a year. Recently I had what I would call a dental emergency and was not willing to wait over a week to get an appointment. Finding Dr. Broutin was a good thing. He had me in his chair within 24 hours and considering the pain I was in was required. I'm sure there are many great dentists out there but there were several things about him that stood out from the other dentists I have associated with through the years. 1st. He got me in quickly and the appointment time was right . I was in the chair at the appointed time. 2nd He had and used digital x-rays that showed the (my) problem on a 15 inch LCD TV screen. I became informed as to what the problem was. I could see it. A picture is worth a thousand words. 3rd He took the time to talk about the problem and the options available. Close -up digital pictures were taken and I could see for myself that what was explained was in fact accurate. 4th. He tries to save teeth. Which he did. He takes personal pride in doing so. He gave me a time line as to what I could expect with another looming tooth issue. Which I was completely unaware of even after having a cleaning and a complete set of x-rays taken 40 days earlier at another dental office. 5th The work was excellent. I was back to chewing steak on both sides of my mouth within days. I needed no readjustment as has been common in my past. In closing... If I had stayed under the care of the dentist I had been going to I would have lost ( in my opinion) 2 important jaw teeth. I am grateful to Dr. Broutin and his staff for saving those 2 teeth . The Dr. has my trust and respect. AND I have not received any discount or special rate for writing this review nor do I expect or desire any.

He explains exactly what he recommends be done and explains all your options fully. I love the ability to see after he is done working on my teeth, actual shots on the tv screen of each step of the process. A picture is worth a thousand words when it comes to seeing the actual condition of your dental work. I came to Dr. Broutin after I was unsatisfied with my last dentist of 2 years who I felt was unresponsive to my concerns about the fit of a crown for over a year and other nagging problems. Dr. B. was able to determine the reason for the problems and fix them after my first visit. His office staff is wonderful and friendly and have always been able to get me in quickly whenever it was necessary. Although I have only seen Dr. B for regular dental work, I would not hestitate to have cosmetic dentistry done in the future. So my daughter was signing hurt & signing teeth. I called & took a cancellation appointment & explained the situation of her having a problem with back tooth on left side as well as I wanted him to look @ her tongue as she had surgery after she was born. I wanted him to look at these issues. ( speech therapist is having issues with her G's & a few more)The receptionist said she would have to have a cleaning & I explained again that it wasn't going to work we tried that so I was optimistic & hoping to communicate my concerns to the dentist. So same as last time my daughter was having none of it. Again I was shuffled to the same room. I then explained that I asked for sedation for cleaning & the other issues. He told me they didn't do sedation in this office only the Panama City office. I explained to him she had not had a cleaning in 4 years & he said kids this young isn't getting periodontal disease. I asked them had he waited 4 years to get his teeth cleaned & he sarcastically said yes, I said oh I misunderstood I guess . So before I could ask to be scheduled to that office he cut me off & told me I needed to go see my old dentist. Well I told him he was retired so that wasn't possible. The receptionist asked me if I needed her records to be transferred? This dentist never examined my daughters teeth to know if she needed sedation or the tooth that was bothering her. Maybe he thought I was telling him how to do his job but that wasn't the case at all. I told the receptionist what paperwork they haven't even opened my daughters mouth. I don't know if he's got a ego issue or why he was so rude to us the 2 times we were there. I have filed a formal complaint with AHCA.I will also be.filing with the BBB.( Better Business )Furthermore if he doesn't want to treat special needs children then don't. There is a special needs group I will also posting about the this business as well as my attorney. I have never been treated so rude in my life.His people skills are terrible.He's educated, but has no common sense for talking down to people like me who else has he done this to? Our dental assistant Kylie took great care of us before the procedure. She answered all of mine and my son's goofy questions and made sure he was entertained as well. She even made little jokes and helped him relax if he was getting uneasy while we waited for the Doctor to see us. Our dentist, Dr. Lisa Lapointe, did a great job fixing his tooth and it looks like there was never a chip at all. My son was a little anxious with all the loud noises from all the tools they had to use to repair his tooth but the whole team helped calm him down and make sure he felt safe during the procedure. From Sebastian and myself thank you all for doing such a great job!! We really can't thank you enough !! We will use this dentistry for all of our dental needs big or small.

Dr. Corley had been my dentist for years but recently I saw him for severe pain under a root canal…read morewhich he performed 8 years ago . He said I had an "infection" and put me antibiotics. I asked if I needed to make an appointment for a follow-up. He said no, just to take the antibiotics. The next evening, the whole right side of my face swelled up terribly and I was shaking because of the pain . I called his emergency number but there was no answer so I left a message . That message was not returned . I went to the emergency room and was a minute to the hospital so that I could be given intravenous antibiotics and pain medication and I was on hold for emergency surgery to prevent the abscess from crossing over to my job or brain and to prevent sepsis. I am really surprised that a dentist would be unavailable on his emergency line and not even respond to the message. I also left a message on the next Monday and staff told me he had received the message but they could not make him respond . Dr corley's office is okay if you want your teeth cleaned but you cannot count on him in an emergency.

After a dentist replaced a crown three times because she could not get it right, my gums bleed everyday and I was in extreme pain. She kept telling me the pain would go away. After three months I knew that something was very wrong. I found Dr Corley through a referral. Dr. Corley was able to identify that I had a crack in the tooth next to the crown that was replaced causing sever bleeding and pain. Unfortunately I now needed a root canal. Once he started the root canal he found that my tooth and gums were seriously infected. Had left untreated this could have been a serious health problem. The staff was very compassionate as I have extreme anxiety after having the other dentist replace a crown three times badly and then crack a healthy tooth. Office is modern and practices the best procedures for each patient. I made the poor choice of trusting a dentist after she did a bad job twice. Thanks to Dr. Corley's office my mouth has healed. No need to go anywhere else for dental needs. Love this whole office! I'm so excited that I'm getting my invisible braces off today. Thank you Dr Corely and amazing team for helping me create the beautiful smile again.

Much more than other…read moredental work I have had done, and I have had substantial amount of dental work Besides the pain, Dr. Scheuffler decided to do ( at the last minute) a 3rd prepartion for a dental implant , which my own dentist was going to complete. My dentist, who also does total implants , felt only 2 were necessary. This decision was made at last minute. He called my dentist and he went along with this decision. Obviously I was charged additonal monies for this work . But what was really upsetting was that Dr. Scheuffler did not feel it was necessary to tell me that my other dentist would also be charging me an additonal substantial amount of money. If I had known that his decision would end up costing me over $ 3000.00, I would have just gone with the two and had a larger bridge put in( as I had an even larger bridger previously that lasted 20 years!). Also, one of his women staffer was definitely not someone I would let deal with me again. Horrible person. Make sure that the entire cost of any procedure is written up , not only for his work, but they also need to advise you of possible other expenses. Well, they got their money and I ended up being stuck with a lot of (which I felt was not 100% necessary for the money involved). To say i was upset over this experience is putting it mildly. But Gulf Coast Immediate Care ALWAYS services nearly as close to the best care that I've received in the great Northeast. I had to visit 4 times over 2.5 yrs. They no longer have weekend hours, however. So if you like this place, plan well for weekday walk-ins before 4PM now. I also recommend HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital Emergency over Ascension Sacred Heart Hospital Emerald Coast for reasons of accuracy and attention to detail. Although both had friendly staff.
