So my husband and I had our cleanings last evening. Yes, last evening. I have never had a cleaning…read moreso late but that is when they scheduled us. I suppose it isn't a bad thing since it allows options for those that can't get off from work. The atmosphere was a little different. More cheery and welcoming. We were a little early but we were appropriately taken back at our assigned appts. My husband came out and nodded to me that his experience was better. Same Hygienist cleaned the room and then came and got me. She was cordial and identified who she was. She even apologized for not seeing me last time but stated it was due to the Doctor being with me. (I don't buy that since my husband saw her and his Dentist on the last visit and I didn't). The TV was off in the room and the chair was facing away from the door. I felt like I had the privacy and calm environment I was use to. Overall she was professional and accomplished my cleaning quickly. She made recommendations and addressed issues such as me needing to focus on my back teeth more. (Always have to be reminded). And then she walked me out and was gracious about letting me know that I could make another appt for months or I could call back. I chose to make a call later to get in. My overall impression is they may have made some changes in how they approach their patients on admit and execution of their services. It was end of day and I was surprised that they didn't seem exhausted. A few other people came in after me and it seemed they were treated with the same respect. I hope this continues for their patients going forward.

No one told me it was only for an exam and X-rays, and that I'd have to schedule another appointment for the actual cleaning because I was a new patient. I was told the dentist would be in within 5-10 minutes, but he didn't come in until 5:30 PM. When I told him I was upset about wasting my time, and I just needed a cleaning. he just said he was sorry and there was nothing they could do. I should have listened to the other reviews warning people not to go here. Poor communication and a complete waste of time.

When making my appointment, I asked if they would be able to use my x-rays and chart form my Louisiana dentist. They said yes, so I emailed them as they requested me to do. After completing the medical history, I was taken back to get X-rays done. I had reminded them that i had already sent them recent x-rays. They responded that they wanted to do their own. After having 25 painful x-rays done, they told me I only needed to do 5 more. I said it's too painful (I have a small mouth), I said no more X-rays. I am 71 years old. Over the years, I have never, ever had to take more than 6 x-rays on any or my prior visits. They took 25 and were not done. I said I could no longer stand the pain. They called the doctor in. He was insensitive to my pain and said they needed to do the remaining x-rays. I told the doctor I could no longer stand the pain and just asked for a cleaning. He said they could not do that. So, I excused myself. I figure that they were getting paid by Humana for the number of x-rays.

I had no issues with the "new patient" exam, but was disappointed that I wasn't able to get my teeth cleaned during the initial visit. Upon return a couple weeks later, I was told I required "deep below the gum" cleaning which would cost me a few hundred bucks extra. Of course, I left and scheduled an appointment with another local dentist. No issues whatsoever! X-rays, exam, cleaning all for less than the gold plated cleaning despite being out of network. Hey Aspen, a wise man once told me you can shear a sheep for a lifetime, but you can only skin it once. Happy I didn't have an emergency or I may have lost my skin. Stay away!

I scheduled an appointment for 4 pm. I called ahead because I thought I might be ten minutes late. I rush to get there and am told that I arrived just in time (before they canceled me.) I pay 29$ for the appointment. Then I have to wait 36 minutes to be taken back. Then after a few x-rays, they make me wait until 5:46 when I finally got up and just saw all of them standing there laughing. They say that I'm still waiting on the hygienist. Someone says "maybe the Dentist can go in first" instead of him saying anything, and he doesn't even look at me and smiles nervously and walks away with the others like a little kid to go look at something. It's not the patients problem that there is one hygienist, don't let me make an appointment if the only hygienist has to work on 5 people. Take away the time-slot. It's disrespectful to my time to not just reschedule me or let me know that I'd be waiting 2 hours and they aren't even giving me a cleaning. Charging back the 29$ doesn't even feel good, I wish I could take more back for sitting there for two hours doing nothing. They wipe their ass with appointments. Just walk in. They only have one hygienist at the dentist good luck.

I am submitting this review regarding a dental procedure that took place on 04/02/2025 at Aspen…read moreDental with Dr. Jimenez. I had scheduled an upper wisdom tooth extraction and had opted for IV sedation due to high anxiety and sensitivity around dental procedures. I communicated this choice multiple times before the appointment and had already completed the appropriate paperwork. However, upon arrival, the dental surgeon made several attempts to persuade me to forgo sedation. Despite me stating "no" repeatedly--more than five times--he continued to pressure me, saying things like, "That's like going to sleep for a splinter," that he "didn't feel comfortable sedating me for this," that I'd get a $600 refund, and that the procedure would only take a few seconds. He dismissed my concerns, including fears about hearing drilling or cracking noises. The entire interaction felt manipulative and left me anxious and emotionally vulnerable just before surgery. Ultimately, I did receive sedation, but only after insisting multiple times. The pressure I experienced was inappropriate and felt violating--particularly as a woman and a patient in a vulnerable state. Upon further research, I found that sedation is a common option for extractions. It reminded me of situations where "no" should have been enough the first time. Additionally, the procedure that was described as "just a few seconds" actually took over an hour. I'm writing this review because the dental surgeon's behavior undermined my ability to provide informed consent without coercion. I believe this violates ethical standards and patient rights. I especially want to caution others who may be more passive by nature. Be clear about what you want, and do your research before speaking with this dental surgeon if you're scheduled for an extraction. Don't allow yourself to be convinced otherwise--it is, in fact, unethical for a provider to pressure a patient like this. Had I not been familiar with informed consent and patient rights, I might have given in to that pressure. That said, the rest of the staff at this Aspen Dental location has been amazing. This was my only negative experience. The dental assistant was a godsend--she made sure I was comfortable, gave my husband clear post-op instructions, and kindly listened to my rambling after surgery. She answered our questions thoroughly and with care. The front desk staff and office manager have always been polite and helpful during my visits, and the regular dentist, dental technician, and hygienist have all been respectful, kind, and competent. I'm posting this review simply to offer a heads-up to others who may encounter this same dental surgeon. This was my only negative experience here. The office itself is otherwise great.

The hygienist was very nice and explained everything through out the process. The ladies at the desk working consultations of what needs to be done and all my future appointments were set up quickly and easily. I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing a dentist. I've tried local family dentists and never have had one on one service like this place. My daughter goes there as an adolescent and even my 5 year old grandson sees them. **on a side note** "I've too read the reviews of people saying that they had enormous payments due etc. This can be true for any doctor, surgeon, hospital or dentist based on your insurance coverage. One person may have to pay 100 for a filling and another 900. This also can be true for the extent of service needed. So I wouldn't say that these reviews are entirely accurate. I work in the medical field at a hospital and I know that what one person says always will differ from another based on just how much they had to pay out of pocket. This does not effect the service, the customer service, the employees that work at the company being reviewed nor any other professional service. Only thing it shows is not how well the service as given but how cheap they thought the service should have been." So I would suggest, if you are interested and need a dentist or a quick fix call these and they will get you fixed up. --Satisfied user.
