Aspen Dental continues to make me regret that I chose them as my dental care provider. For the second time in the last three months, I came to my appointment and had to come back due to their negligence, The first time, I had to come back because they FORGOT to take the impressions for my dentures even though I had been there for several HOURS. I had an appointment at 3:00, and was there for 2 hours. They tried to do a scan and their scanner didn't work and after trying unsuccessfully almost four times they finally were able to get a scan. Then, they took x-rays for me, but had to redo every single picture. Some of them had to be redone three times due to the technician miss positioning the camera. ​ Later the technicians told me the doctor would come in in 5 minutes, and I waited for half an hour and when the doctor did come in the care felt very rushed. I did not feel like my concerns were being listened to and felt very dismissed the entire appointment. Even scheduling was a pain. It was easy to book the appointment but the office has very few appointment types and if you don't fit the needs of a specific appointment you have to have unnecessary exams done that end up costing more. They also called my phone over and over again leaving me messages and when I responded with texts or calls back they did not reach back out until the day of the appointment. Very dissatisfied. I recommend not wasting your time with this location. My wife and I just moved to the area and needed a new dentist. Since this one is close by we thought we would give it a shot. I received a call the day before my appointment where they asked for my insurance info. I provided all that and they told me that if insurance was not able to be validated, they'd give me a call back and if I don't hear back, we are good to go. Never got a call back, so obviously thought everything was fine. Went in for the appointment, to be told that my appointment was cancelled because I never confirmed my appointment and they did not have my insurance info. Now why would that be when someone called me the day before confirming my appointment and got my insurance info. Okay, maybe whoever took my info just got distracted, gave them the benefit of the doubt. Provided my insurance info again, rescheduled, and went home. The new appointment was for 8am. Went in at 8am bright and early. Doors were still locked when I got there, they let me in. They again did not have my insurance info, so I provided that a 3rd time. Alright, it's fine, they're going to see me anyway, appointment wasn't cancelled. I was there for 3 hours. For a regular dental checkup and cleaning. My friend happened to have an appointment for later in the day at a different dental practice and we got done at the same time. Chalk it up to a bad experience, shouldn't be the norm right? Guess again. My wife also scheduled a cleaning and went in, she provided insurance info(she's under my insurance) and they charged her full price (I was charged a lot more than usual too but my insurance mailed me a check). Since I received a check later on, I thought, okay, maybe they just like to charge full amount and insurance does the reimbursing later, weird, but ok. They scheduled my wife for a filling for another day and charged her $500 for it. She went in for her filling, only to be told they didn't have her insurance info so the last visit never got claimed. So she provides insurance info AGAIN, and is told they'll make the claim and we'll get reimbursed. Main complaint: Why is a dental practice(that's a chain) SO SO bad at insurance. Isn't that your bread and butter? As a chain, don't you have tried and true procedures for billing? Anyway, going to make sure the claims go through so we get our money back and going to try elsewhere next time. Secondary complaint: Why does it take so long. Been to dentists before, great experiences and never took so long. Suggestion: If you're looking for a dentist, maybe try a local practice instead of a chain since they would likely value your business a lot more. read more

They don't care about a persons pain, discomfort and are horrible to deal with. Do yourself a favor and find ANYONE else. Come to find out, they cancelled my Mom's surgery yesterday. Had us running in circles for two days for no reason. The office manager Raven is a complete liar and a horrible human being to boot. Not a decent person in office!! I cancelled patients to take her, my wife took a day off for after care. Never even told us it was cancelled. No response from Aspen Dental in Norcross after repeated attempts to call the office. It is 9:30 AM on Wednesday and the voice prompt says the office is closed, to call back during business hours (which is 8:00 AM opening). I called the customer service line (844-296-0187) and got a message the WHOLE customer service team is in training or out of the office. The WHOLE team? Is this place for real? There is no other option to contact ANYBODY at Aspen Dental - no e-mail, no chat, no other numbers. Avoid this office at all costs. read more

Update on my review. My son just got back from a cleaning with our original dentist and did not need $$$ worth of work.

I received an text on Monday to confirm my appointment; I confirmed it received a reply confirming it. While at work I received a missed call from the dentist to confirm the appointment I called back and was met with automation. I reviewed the text again with the confirmed appointment. Well when I arrived at the dentist office that lacked COVID screening with three other people in the lobby I was informed my appointment was canceled because there wasn't a verbal confirmation. REALLy???? I drove 22 miles to be reschedule. I think no!!! I had an appointment 3 weeks ago at another Aspen dental late and was told the were short staffed and couldn't be seen and ended up with this huge disappointment. Made an appointment weeks in advance and when I got there they didn't know who I was. I waited outside in my car because they told me they could " squeeze me in" so I waited for an hour and a half and after that I went inside and told them not to worry about The appointment and then I was going home. So a weeks later I'm at a different Dentist and try to use my insurance for my check up but aspen had already charged my insurance for x rays even though I never even made it past the front door. I had to pay $85 out of pocket at my new dentist and now I have to wait 2 weeks for my refund. That was my first visit and last. read more

Friendly voices, but a waste of time to talk to. I made 6 phone calls over two hours trying to set up an appointment with endodontist for root canal. Keep getting told that would not have an endodontist "at this location for over a month, but try this other location". Finally got someone at Buford location that let me know "not here until over a month away, but you can get in at Gainseville next week on Monday". I call Gainesville, and told that yes, they can get me in next week on Monday! To be seen and to get a referral to the endodontist. And then "next month" before actually get treated. I started coming to Aspen in Norcross the beginning of this year and every visit has been frustrating and inconvenient. I confirm my appointments and every time that I arrive (on time) I am asked "what are we getting done today?" It makes me so upset because appointment confirmations and notes are never clear enough. I work full time in Atlanta, I am a MBA student and I am in the Army and so my schedule is very precious but I manage to be on time to every appointment. I appreciate Dr. Parks because he is very patient and he is an expert. He also understands the unprofessionalism at this specific location. There's been multiple times that I've gotten to my appointment that I took time off for and had to wait just to be told that we need to reschedule. I am so sick of being apologized to for this kind of matter, every time. I was also told that there was a cyber issue earlier this year and so the system was delayed. I paid out of pocket for the Motto (aligner treatment similar to Invisalign) and for a crown renewal which is considered cosmetic so I paid almost $3,000 upfront so that we can get this taken care of which wasn't a problem for me but it was the easiest situation to deal with at the Norcross Aspen location. I visited Dr. Parks at his location to have my cleaning done and then I had to have another appointment made soon but the only available appointment was in Norcross so I gave it another try. I met Dr. Nike and she was so nice. I felt comfortable because she understood what my next steps were and I explained to her that I wanted my crown (which will be on my top front tooth) to be perfect because it was placed incorrectly 15 years ago. She told me her plan and we made an appointment for my ortho visit, scans and crown prep. Well... I confirmed my appointment and I made it on time yesterday at 3:30PM. I waited and when I got to the back I was asked again what we will be working on today.. I was also told that Dr. Nike was on vacation. I was getting annoyed because multiple people were coming to me asking what I was getting done and I started to notice employees leaving because at this point it was 5PM. Then one of the hygienist asked if I had an attachment (for the aligner to fit) on my front tooth and I told her no. Then I asked why they didn't already know that since they did all of my preparations, scans, x-rays and fitting done at this location. Now, the doctor on site came to talk to me and then she called Dr. Nike to explain this situation. At that point I am so furious and the office manager comes as well to apologize once again and then promised that they will get everything done the next time. I started crying and I explained my frustration and they understood and offered a $25 gift card and said that there is nothing else that they can do. I feel bad for writing this long review because I don't like to be mean and talk bad about places but I had to for this matter. It is so ridiculous and unacceptable. Made an early appointment so that I could avoid appointments being back to back. Well, there were two people ahead of me and my appointment was at 8:15, I arrived at 8:00 am. Checked in and by 8:45, I was still waiting. By 9:30 I was still waiting. Now, being a health professional myself, I would have expected a 15-20 min wait and even that is pushing it. The person ahead of me started complaining and the receptionist says that this happens a lot because they are short staffed. If that's the case freaking space out your appointments so this crap doesn't happen. This is crazy. If I could give them negative 10 stars, I would!!!!!! read more

I called back and left a voicemail informing them that they call during work hours but I will be at the appointment , as well as confirmed through the link online link. The WORST, had an appointment for Monday March 1st "gum work", appointment canceled, no hygienist, appointment rescheduled for Wednesday 3rd, had appointment for Tuesday 2nd "fillings", appointment canceled, no dental assistant, rescheduled for Thursday 11th, my Wednesday 3rd appointment was moved to a different location. Called customer satisfaction number, was placed on hold, most services will tell you the "hold time", but I kept getting a message stating "longer than 10 minutes "???, so what does that means? 11, 27 or 45 minutes? I went to this office for an emergency visit on September first due to wisdom teeth pain. The soonest they could schedule getting all of my wisdom teeth out which they said needed to happen as soon as possible was 3 weeks. Instead of to another dentist I stuck with them and stuck through three weeks of pain. Then today less than 24 hours before my appointment where I scheduled time off of work and had my mom schedule time off of work to take care of me they called me to tell me my appointment was cancelled. The worst part is their reasoning wasn't an emergency. Their reasoning was that "i was the only appointment of the day and it was not worth the surgeons time to travel to do the operation" mind you this is a $4000 operation. Now I am stuck waiting another week and have to travel 15 miles from home to go to another office and hope that the surgeon feels like my pain is worth his time. I arrived for my appointment that had been scheduled for six weeks and they told me I was there on the wrong day. I was not contacted by phone or email to ask to reschedule my appointment at a convenient time for me, they changed it without asking me or notifying me about the change. Because of my work schedule I wasn't going to be able to return the next day for when they changed my appointment to so they told me if I waited about 30 minutes I could be seen. This was just new patient appointment for x-rays and consult to schedule a cleaning at a later date but I was still made to wait 2 hours in the waiting room before being called back even though 8 other patients arrived after me and were seen before me. No one ever apologized for changing my appointment without notifying me or for making me waiting 2 hours. I now wish I had just left while in the waiting room because I realized by the end of the visit that I did not want to return ever again because my experience with the x-ray technician, hygienist and dentist did not get any better. read more
