Plus, I got Braces 7 years ago. Overall, I am a 100% Satisfied customer. I believe having good teeth are related to have a healthy life. A friendly and well organized management make a dental appointment more relaxed. Convenient location and a big parking lot are a plus.

I was a patient at this office for nearly 10 years because I trusted Dr. Cheng. Unfortunately,…read moreafter my recent experience, I lost that trust completely. After my root canal, I returned for my crown appointment. The temporary material could not be removed normally. The dentist repeatedly rocked and pulled on my tooth for a long time. I repeatedly said I was in severe pain, but the only response I received was, "It will be over soon." After multiple unsuccessful attempts, the material finally had to be cut out with a dental drill. That night, my tooth began hurting continuously. An X-ray later confirmed inflammation. I was prescribed one week of antibiotics, followed by another week when the pain did not improve. The prolonged antibiotics caused severe stomach pain and digestive problems, yet my tooth continued to hurt. I eventually sought a second opinion and was told there was separation between the tooth and the surrounding gum tissue, persistent inflammation, and that extraction was recommended. When I returned to discuss the situation, I felt that my concerns were dismissed. Rather than acknowledging that something may have gone wrong, the office focused on defending itself. The only solution offered was a refund for the root canal and a discount on future treatment, while I was expected to pay for correcting the damage. The reason I refused any further treatment from this office is because this was not the first time. About two years earlier, I chose to have what I believed was a minor procedure because I wanted to take care of my dental health before it became a bigger problem. Instead, I developed a serious infection afterward, and my face became severely swollen. I returned for additional treatment, but it failed again. I was eventually referred to another specialist, who successfully treated the problem. I was also told that the surgical wound was uneven and had not been completely closed. After experiencing two serious complications at the same office, I no longer had confidence in receiving additional treatment there. I understand that complications can happen in dentistry. What disappointed me most was not only the treatment outcomes, but also the lack of compassion, accountability, and respect when problems occurred. I am sharing only my personal experience in the hope that other patients can make informed decisions.

Let me start by saying that this review has nothing to do with the Doctor that was treating me, my…read moreshort experience with Dr. Fabiola Palacios was amazing, she's very professional and very thorough. She was able to effectively find and treat a problem in one of my molars. My review has more to do with the office policies and the staff. So, I went for my first appointment and I was very happy, then I was referred to an endodontist and he was also very professional. I was scheduled with Gwinnett Family Dentistry (GFD) for a second appointment to finally get a crown in my molar, so they call me (GFD) and schedule my appointment, very nice lady, never mentioned any of their policies regarding changes or cancellations. On a Thursday, i receive a confirmation call from GFD and again, the nice lady never mentioned any of their policies or how long the procedure will take. So I confirm that I'm attending to my appointment, thinking that the procedure will take about an hour like in my first appointment, but what do I know??.. I'm just the patient who's never ever had a crown treatment before. So I call the day of my appointment, which was Monday, around 7:30-ish... I get Ingrid on the phone and I ask her how long is the treatment going to take? and she says "2 hours", and obviously I had no idea of the length because I was never informed. So I panic and I tell her that I can't make it because of work, I didn't know it would take 2 hours, and I have to reschedule..... I understand that I'm calling at the last minute, BUT.. Aren't they (GFD) supposed to inform you of these details before your actual appointment?? Anyways, she tells me there is a cancellation fee, and I tell her that I'm NOT cancelling, I'm rescheduling because I was not informed that the procedure would take that long. So she insists that is the same because is in the same day, less than 48 hours before my appointment. I get very upset, and I tell her that if they charge me a cancellation fee I will go to another dentists, obviously Ingrid doesn't care. She tell me that the administrator will be at their office the next day and she will call me... After a few minutes I call back and ask Ingrid how much the cancellation fee is?.... And her answer????.... " I don't know, the admin will call you tomorrow"... that never happened.... A week after, I receive a bill from them, it's only for $15, the original amount was $50 but after some credit they made I only "have" to pay $15, NOT my point... So my problem is..... Ingrid, works in that office, SHE tells me about the cancellation fee, but she doesn't know the amount.... So, how am I supposed to know about their policies if they never ever EVER mentioned them to me, the policies are not in their website and I was never informed by any of their staff, not when I scheduled my appointment and not when the nice lady called me to confirm my appointment.... But I have to know them????? Can someone please tell me what is the logic here????

Other than one front office staff, everyone is very friendly and accommodating. Andy, in particular, is one of the best dental hygienist that I have encountered. He is completely bilingual (English and Korean). He is very thorough, explains each step clearly, never rushes through his cleanings, remembers little patient details, and very kind. Dr. Kim is a man of not many words but good at what he does. I really wanted to give that one front office staff member the benefit of the doubt the first time I came but she was rude again the second time I came by. When I entered for my appointment, there was no greeting. Just a quick glance down at me and she asked for my name. Upon checkout, she was on the phone with someone arguing with them in a very belligerent tone of voice. At a certain point while still looking at her computer, she said ,"when can you next come in" and I genuinely was not sure who she was talking to. She then proceeded to rudely say ,"hello? I am talking to you" finally making eye contact with me. Maybe this is just her personality but not the best image for the clinic. In general, this is a very clean office with wonderful staff members. I have recommended this clinic to multiple friends and family.

This was, without question, one of the worst experiences I have ever had at any healthcare facility. My appointment was at 10:00 AM, but I arrived at 9:30 AM out of courtesy so they would have plenty of time to verify my insurance and complete the paperwork. I did everything they asked. I handed over my insurance card, completed all the forms, had X-rays taken, and sat in the dental chair waiting. After more than 30 minutes, they still couldn't verify my insurance. Trying to be reasonable, I clearly told them that I didn't care about the insurance anymore and that I would pay out of pocket so I could receive treatment. Instead of treating me, they simply started making excuses. The woman at the front desk told me, "It's already 10:30, and we have other patients waiting, so we can't treat you." That wasn't even true. I looked at the time myself--it was only 10:10 AM, not 10:30. There were only a couple of people in the waiting room. When I questioned her about it, the explanation suddenly changed. Now the problem wasn't the next patients anymore--it was because they had spent too much time trying to verify my insurance. The excuses kept changing. Even after I clearly said, "I'll pay for everything myself," they still refused to treat me. What made the experience even worse was the front desk staff. The woman at the front desk was incredibly rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. She showed absolutely no respect for me as a patient. Instead of trying to solve the problem, she kept changing her explanation and acted as if my time didn't matter at all. I have never been treated with such disrespect in a medical office. Then came the most shocking part. The dentist looked at my tooth and immediately said, "Oh... what are we going to do?" Those were the first words out of the dentist's mouth. Patients go to a dentist because they expect confidence, professionalism, and expertise. If a dentist looks at a patient's tooth and openly says, "What are we going to do?" how is any patient supposed to trust that dentist? Instead of giving me confidence, those words immediately made me question whether the dentist was capable of handling my case. After that, the dentist walked out, talked with the front desk staff, came back, and still refused to provide any treatment. I arrived 30 minutes early, cooperated with everything they requested, waited because of their delays, even agreed to pay completely out of pocket, and still left without receiving any treatment. This office wasted my time, ignored my willingness to pay, changed their explanations repeatedly, treated me disrespectfully, and showed a complete lack of professionalism from both the front desk and the dentist. I will never return, and I strongly recommend that anyone looking for a dentist choose another office that actually values patients, respects their time, and treats them with professionalism.

FV@ continued and sadi Id have to come in for an exam and care plan, so i told here no, would it be possible to speak with the Doctor and she said NO, he's with a pt., i told here you want me to come in so you can get money from me NO. and I hung up. the FV1 was great but i was told she was with a patient also when i was put on hold. Folks if a dentist will not put their prices online or fail to tell you a ballpark price then look elseware. and If a dentist cannot take a call the staff sould be saying , "Sir, the doctor is busy right now but could he/she call you back later today? " but no they dont do that, I will continue my search and not go here because i dont want to confront FV2 because Id call he out. Dentist are only as good as their staff and this DDS needs to really evaluate who should be answering the phone and they shouyld have a price list available to potential patients, maybe the US FTC need to step in as tey did in the funeral industry year ago, leveling the field and true prices for customers.

I mean literally, he looked at it, touched the post, and said, "Doesn't fit" without doing any inspection or even cleaning of the abutment and crown. It was incredulous. Went home and reseated it myself for $10. Other honorable mentions: 1. A $50 fee for being *10* minutes late? And you want my SSN and employment now? 2. A "savings plan" (red flag) that, for $300 a year gives 25% off all dental work. How are the prices, then? Approximately 20% higher than the median price for dental work in the area. So, pay $300 out of pocket to bring the prices back to reality. So you don't want to do a simple procedure. OK. But selling someone an engine when all they need is an oil change-- someone is going to fall for this and I find that unconscionable.
