Disappointed and will not go back. I went to Aspen Dental as a brand new patient. The reviews seemed pretty good and I was looking for a new dentist. I had an appointment, and unfortunately I arrived 10 minutes late from being stuck in traffic. I arrived with new patient paperwork completed and in hand. After waiting 45 minutes I finally asked if it would be much longer until my appointment. They proceeded to tell me they gave my appointment away since I was late. Which I completely understand... But having to wait 45 minutes then to be told it wouldn't be too much longer just seemed outrageous. Especially for a general cleaning. Very disappointed and will not be going back. read more

My wife has Alzheimer's. Once they knew her condition they were so professional,compassionate and assertive toward her condition. I highly recommend this office, especially for anyone with a special need. They also overcharged me for an implant cleaning, found the mistake in house and credited the difference back to me. Totally sketchy. I went to aspen because I didn't have dental insurance and they had a free first exam and X-rays. They told me I had 4 Cavities which I thought was strange because I take really good care of my teeth. I decided to get a second opinion from my normal dentist who I love and trust even though it would cost money and I'm glad I did because she told me I had ZERO cavities! I'm dumbfounded as to how this kind of mid diagnosis could happen. They also signed me up for a credit card which I never asked for. :( read more

From the first time I went into this place, I felt like I was getting hustled. The only reason I give one stars is that the dentist and hygienist we both top notch. First visit, just wanted to have a check and my teeth cleaned. They sat me down with a billing person to talk about a payment plan! I left the area in June and they are still trying to hustle me for money from as far back as January of 2018. Even though my dental insurance would cover it. The insurance company denied one claim and - really - just asked for more details. No problem, except Aspen never submitted the additional details making it now my problem (so says my insurance company - through MediCare - usually SUPER good). A $205 problem. So... I thought I would call billing today at 1PM, oh... but... Billing doesn't bother to work on Friday after 1PM! I am so frustrated. I will never go there again even though they had one of the best hygienists I ever seen in my 67 years. Overall experience? Lingering bad taste in my mouth with this billing hustle. read more

I am so impressed with this dentist office. I travel frequently to Arizona for business and decided to fit in a dental appointment while I was there. It is so refreshing to be at a dentist office that really cares about their patients. The office is clean and modern. The ladies at reception desk are friendly and efficient and the cleaning went smoothly. The hygienist did a great job. Teeth felt sparkling clean! The x-Ray machine was state of the art and wasn't as uncomfortable of time consuming as ones I had at other offices. Dr. Sung was warm and professional. He came up with a treatment plan that showed genuine interest in improving my dental health without up-selling unnecessary procedures. He really took the time to explain and prioritize the plan as well as answer all my questions. The staff also went over payment options to complete the plan. They really worked with me and my budget. The scheduling is absurd - when I complained about waiting 45 minutes, the office manager rudely said "we have other patients." The office manager gave me attitude the entire time and everyone else was just rude. They do not understand customer service at all. 0 star review. I DON'T care what procedure you need, just don't go here. I hope everyone sees this review. Do not ever ever ever everrrrr go here!!! I can't scream this loud enough!!! dentist and staff treated me like I was child. I'm a nurse (bsn) and how I was treated was incomprehensible!!! No professionalism whatsoever. DON'T even know how this place stays open at all. The dentist yelled at me for asking a question, which made me all adrenalized and I almost cried. Dr. Yanna told me she didn't have time to explain the entirety of dentistry to me. I thought, wow, I just asked one question and yeah you do cuz I'm a paying customer?...and like, that's your job?...anyway I tried to walk out and asked for another dentist. I was then told there was no one else who could fit my crown I had waited 2 weeks to get, at which this point the dentist threatened me by asking "well what are you gonna do, you don't even have a cap on your tooth right now?" I thought, ok, good point, so I muscled through cuz my temporary cap was already removed. Not surprisingly, after 3 x-rays later, the crown from the lab was defective and she had to order another one from a different lab, which meant I was back to my temporary cap for another 2 weeks and I had to come back to this God forsaken place. Everyone before me who gave this place a bad review was not exaggerating. I asked for my bill to be itemized and explained to me and they tried to rush me through it...like I wouldn't notice they were trying to belittle my intelligence. They kept talking over me. At this point, it almost became a game for me cuz I could see the lady was becoming frustrated with my wanting to know where my good hard earned money was going. I had to force them to slow down and show me every item line for line. They tried charging me for an overpriced oral b toothbrush, which I already owned...some overpriced fluoride rinse, and overpriced fluoride toothpaste. They even added in a separate charge for my next cleaning visit in 3 months, which I never asked for!!! Con artist company!!! Total scam!!! Mark my words. Unfortunately, I cannot attest to the actual work or pricing of this (Arcadia) office, but their timeliness and consideration for patient time and needs is very poor. I was a new patient and had a 9:45am appt. I was told to arrive at 9:30am to fill out paperwork, which I did. Then, I waited...and waited...and waited. Finally at 10:20am without seeing anyone and noone providing any update, I went to the receptionist and said I would need to reschedule, because I had only taken off an hour from work for the appt and since they hadn't even called me back yet I knew they wouldn't be able to finish by 10:30am. The receptionist then claimed "She (hygienist? I don't know) was just about to call me back." I work for a living and need to be accountable to my supervisor. Had I known I needed to take more time, I could have done so, but I can't just go AWOL because my dentist can't keep to a schedule. The receptionist did not offer to schedule a later appointment as I requested, so I guess they don't care to have my business. Aspen Dental on 44th Street and Thomas Rd provides great dental service. The staff is extremely nice and very professional. The hygienist did an amazing job during the cleaning, and the assistants were very approachable and friendly. They answered all of my questions, and listened to my concerns and preferences. They helped provide the professional guidance and advice needed to make an informed decision without pushing an agenda for their financial benefit. The only thing that I noticed about the experience that prevented a five-star rating was the unusual amount of time that was spent waiting in the chair for the dentist...otherwise, both Neil and David are extremely professional and creative! They helped with an aesthetic repair on a chipped front tooth and it looked like nothing ever happened! read more

Reason for 3 stars is they brought me back after I had scheduled an appt.. then resorted to ask me to come back at a later time to get my chip filled. Never had that happen before with a dentist. I had not been to the dentist in a few years since this is one of my most unfavorable things to do! This was my first visit here and I was pleased to find the staff very courteous and accommodating. I had a free exam and x-rays which uncovered some serious problems with my gums and some bone loss which the hygienist and dentist explained to me very thoroughly the seriousness of the problem and how to treat the gums. I was fortunate the hygienist had an immediate opening and agreed to do all of my gum treatment and teeth cleaning in one sitting instead of two sittings which is how they often do the treatment. I was in and out of the office in 2.5 hours with healthier teeth and gums at a reasonable price. I will now have my teeth and gums checked on a regular basis, especially knowing the staff at Arcadia Aspen Dental are patient, gentle and really do care about their patients. read more

Aspen Dental is more concerned about profit than patients. When my husband went for a cleaning, they tried to add on things like an additional fluoride treatment without mentioning that it was not covered under our insurance or necessary. When I went, I was told by Dr. Sung that I needed "two cleanings" (without any explanation from him). When I went to the Care Consultant, she told me they would cost $300 out of pocket. I said I could not afford such an expensive cleaning but would like to have a general cleaning (which is covered 100% by our insurance once they took off the extra fluoride treatment). Dr. Sung, with his trademark arrogance, flat-out refused to give me a general cleaning stating that he "does not let patients dictate their treatment." So because I couldn't afford the more expensive, thorough treatment they chose to provide me NOTHING rather than a less-effective treatment that I could afford. What a horrible place. If I couldn't afford a full organ transplant a normal doctor would not refuse to provide a smaller treatment that could still prolong life read more
