Although I have never been here I guess Im responding to the reviews where people are complaining they advertise 399.00 for dentures. If you check closely to the ad it will say "per arch" probably in small print. An arch is one side of the denture. so if you are getting a full set top and bottom it is 4 arch's x $399.00. just tops then it's 2 arch's. TERRIBLE SERVICE and I bypassed the negative reviews since I had visited them in another state before but it all makes sense now. First off I had to ignore the sewer/human waste smell both occasions I went figuring they had a sewer issue and I can understand that as I've worked in places like that. No problem. Daniel at the front told me my insurance isn't in network but they could still do "it". Someone being the person providing the service should've clarified what the "it" being offered is. So I sat there for 2 hours listened to a lot of talking that I didn't need to hear and walked out with no cleaning and a "treatment plan" another dentist office will most likely not honor and need to do another whole exam. WASTE OF TIME. I speak with Jenny the office manager over the phone to just see for my inconvenience can I get a quick cleaning and we can go from there. She proceeds to tell me I'll have to pay for a service rendered after a pretty large mistake her front desk made. My family would have had NO problem paying the $2700 for my services if the situation was handled correctly. Please stay away and I'm certain they don't care if you do. Doesn't make them no difference and it's clear. I will be contacting corporate tomorrow since they are closed after understandably getting very upset after she wouldn't tell me the names of the individuals I saw that day. Mind you I wanted to compliment those individuals and she was just done with me at the point in the conversation I guess. I stated give me the names and I will literally hang up. Avoid all Aspen Dental locations, this one specifically, but overall, they are not professional, just a production line of dental procedures with a revolving door of dentists year over year. They leave a lot to be desired and I will never give them my business again and my latest experience with them has pushed me over the top, so I am taking the time to compile this review. My journey with Aspen Dental start several years ago and ended with them leaving me feeling defeated, depressed and miserable, the least painful experience with them was the actual dental work itself, the real pain comes later, after you have paid them. First and foremost, they are very friendly and attentive to get you into the chair and get you to pay them, after that, you are an afterthought and they do not want to talk to you, nor will they talk to you until you can be scheduled for the next expensive treatment. The treatment is very, very bad as far as industry standard, in a nutshell I was left with root canal composite buildups which I wear dentures over and any good dentist will tell you that a root canal composite-only tooth needs a permanent seal on it (Such as a crown) or leakage and infection will happen, not "might happen", it "will happen". Ever since my procedure at Aspen Dental I have had to have 2 of these composite buildups pulled by other dentists, as leakage and infection actually did occur as I was warned it would by the endodontist who performed the root canals. Upon visiting the Arcadia location, I was told ahead of time that the repair I needed on my dentures would be a normal drop-off & pickup repair as has been done in the past, so I commuted up there to drop them off on my lunch, but was informed that I was lied to over the phone and I needed to schedule an appointment to have my bite remeasured (For the 4th time) and my dentures completely refitted, so I wasted my lunch. I took the day off and traveled to the location that made my bottom denture up North and they were happy to fix them, although they said my 7-year warranty expired, even though they created my lower denture 3 years ago. This is because due to their screw up when I moved from another state, I arrived with my temporary bottom and permanent top, something I did not know until after I had them repaired for the 3rd time, yes, it took them 3 times of repairing them to realize they were temporaries, something I was not made aware of. So they were *nice* enough to have the permanent bottoms made for me, they remeasured my bite, took molds and everything. However, they have broken twice in 3 years, one time while eating a flour tortilla, the other while eating ice cream. I called their "Customer Service" when the recent Arcadia location treated me the way they did, I was notified the agent was filing an escalated case for me and I would receive a call back as soon as possible. Well, it has now been 36 hours and I have yet to hear back from anyone at Aspen Dental. I got my repair done, the tech who helped me in the north location was great, I thanked her for her work and help and politely informed her I have no choice but to be done with Aspen Dental, for good. So, why am I writing this review? What is it I want to accomplish? What do I want from them? The answers are simple, I want nothing from Aspen Dental, their *Help* has left me with no choice but to seek a full mouth reconstruction when I am financially able to, which is at least 1 year out. Why am I writing this review; I want anyone with any chance of seeking out another dental health provider to avoid Aspen. Nothing but a corporation out to make money, as much money as possible. The office staff is hit and miss on friendliness and customer service, the hygienists and dental techs tend to be pretty great to deal with, outside of that, nope, never again. I have PTSD from my experiences with this place, every time I have to deal with them I wind up in tears because there is always yet one more effing problem I have to deal with, issue after issue, and the road in front of me is long as I have to essentially have to start over in my journey to having good dental health. If all you need is a cleaning, maybe, but I would strongly suggest you find a smaller dentist in your area to visit, there are hundreds in Phoenix who have outstanding reviews and while I will not plug any specific one in this review I urge everyone to use the internet, use Yelp and Google reviews and find yourself a good dentist, not this giant corporation that uses every tactic they can to get out of treating you like a human once you have paid them. read more

Aspen gave me a price up after my insurance paid their portion for some fillings. Every month after I kept getting bills because some portion of the claim was denied. Ended up costing 3 times what they quoted. Also, my tongue was partially paralyzed for months due to the injection of anesthetic into a nerve cluster. read more

I had my first appointment on Tuesday, July 14th for X-Rays and an evaluation exam. I arrived on time at 5:15 pm with my paperwork already pre-completed but still had to wait until after 6:00 before I was taken back for X-Rays. The staff was very personable and I didn't have to wait long before being evaluated by both the dentist and the hygienist, but when the evaluation was complete and I met with the office manager, I was a little taken aback. I have insurance through a dental HMO and this is my assigned office, but I was quoted $414 for the cleanings alone, and preventative services are supposed to be covered at 100% with my insurance. I called and asked the office manager to send me an itemized list of the billing including the codes (because the paper she gave me in the office conveniently excluded all codes and had only a general description such as "cleaning" and "fillings"), so I could compare it to my dental insurance fee schedule. She sent it to me right away, but when I looked it over, I found some strange things. When I looked over the items being billed, I discovered that I was being billed $129 for an Oral B Electric Toothbrush, $28 for prescription strength toothpaste, and $30 for stannous rinse. The problem is that when I asked Brooke, the office manager that emailed me a copy of my invoice, to explain the extra charges, I never got a response. I asked for an explanation of the toothbrush, toothpaste and rinse, but I was completely ignored, even when I followed up with an email stating that I would have to cancel my appointment if the billing charges were not explained to me. When I still hadn't heard anything after six days, I canceled my appointment. So now I have to go through the hassle of finding a new dentist, having a new evaluation done, and picking their billing apart as well, to make sure I'm not being fleeced by the billing department. I don't need an electric toothbrush, especially one that costs $129 and doesn't have Hello Kitty on it or anything. And I strongly recommend that anyone who has received a quote for dental work from this clinic take a long look at the actual codes being billed, because you might be paying for things you don't need and have not asked for. Update: An office manager from another branch finally called me back today and when I asked about the $129 toothbrush, she told me that it was optional and all I had to do was tell them that I didn't want it. Well, if I didn't know it was even on there until I specifically asked for an itemized statement, how was I supposed to know to tell them to take it off? She asked me if I still wanted to get my teeth cleaned, but I couldn't hear anything else she said over the sound of my laughter. read more

I have been into the Phoenix location on 44th street several times over the past few months and up to this point I have had wonderful interactions with the staff and dentists. Unfortunately, after my interaction with the appointment scheduler, Jeanette, I not recommend this office or any Aspen Dental location to my friends or family. Due to an unexpected family financial issue I called this morning to reschedule an afternoon appointment. Jeanette proceeded to lecture me on why I needed to get in because my final crown needed to be put in place. She went on to berate me explaining that she's told many other people 'no' to get in today and that I should give more advanced notice of a cancellation. I explained that I didn't know I'd have an unexpected financial issue, but she was neither sympathetic nor understanding of my situation. Her ridicule brought me to tears and I have never had anyone treat me this way. I have no history of last minute cancellations and have given advance notice any time I had to reschedule. I find it very disheartening that she had no compassion for my situation. I could have just not shown up, but I wanted to give as much notice as I could given the situation. I will be looking for another office that actually cares about it's patients and treats them like human beings. read more

They are never ready for you at your appointment time. They cut my mouth open while giving me x-rays. I got to wait 3 weeks for a crown that didn't work. I came in for a 30 min appointment to be here for 3 hours. I leave here frustrated and disappointed every time. I am so serious if I could take my money back and go ANYWHERE else I would. I have never had worse healthcare in my life, when you are here as a patient it doesn't feel like you are a priority at all. This place has the worst customer service. Every time you call you are put on hold for way too long. My first appointment I waited over an hour to see a dentist! I was pleasantly surprised that the dentist was so kind that I decided to give it another try. I walked in on my 2nd and last appointment and I asked if the wait would be long (since it took forever before) and the receptionist assured me that it wouldn't be. After 45 minutes no one had given me an update, and everyone who had been at the front desk seemed to disappear. The worst part is that I eventually just left because there was no one to help me! I had paid upfront and am still waiting to be refunded my money and it's been over a month. It's unfortunate that this experience truly turned me away. The doctor was nice and I would have liked to go back but the customer service was just that bad. I didn't chose this dental office to go and buy a used car, I just wanted a tooth pulled..!!! I went in for an Extraction in a lot of pain, meanwhile the Dentist and Office Manager were more interested in making a chunk of money from me...$7700 All I asked for was an extraction, and they said "NO" it felt more because I did not agree to sign up for the complete dental package SCAM, They gave me the excuse that my blood pressure was too high, I had the procedure done the next day if it wasn't because I wasted my better part of the afternoon, I would have been seen that same day, The next dentist took my blood pressure and said, "Let's got your tooth out" Shame on You..! I'm only giving a star to be somewhat nice. They were nice once I got in there and did the visit but, after they couldn't get my insurance verified. I was told they had to call me the next day. Next day turned into... I had to call them after the weekend. Mind you my appt was on a Wednesday. I called on a Monday and I was told the billing rep would call be back with my quote. Still nothing. Called back on Tuesday and insisted she stay on the phone with me to get my quote because every time I would call to check for an update the rep had no clue why I was calling each time.. I am very happy with Aspen Dental on 44th street in Phx. I had completely new dentures made. They have worked with me all the way. They are punctual and so am I. They are friendly. They send very helpful reminders. At first I thought my teeth were too big. I just wasn't used to them. I got opinions from friends. Now I see my own smile. The teeth make me have a better smile without even trying. They are nice looking teeth.. I was going to ask if he does plastic surgery. Do something with my face, lol. read more

I LOVED my old dentist so I was afraid to go somewhere else. I moved states and had no choice but to look for one and I was pleasantly surprised. I went in (my first visit) and I thought I'd be having a regular cleaning but I needed a deep cleaning and two fillings. They had time so they took me in and did what they could in the time I had. Which helped so I don't have to leave work early again. Everyone was really nice and explained everything. It's very clean and some chairs have individual Tv's while you wait. I did have to wait in the lobby for about 30 min after my appointment though (so I gave them 4 stars). I never had to wait before. read more

Booked a cleaning appointment over the phone. Specifically stated that I needed a regular, 6 month cleaning to which they told me they would also do the 6 month check-up too. Show up to the appointment, get the X-rays done, dental hygienist comes in and checks the gums, dentist comes in and checks the teeth. Waited for 20 minutes for the office person to check with the insurance and comes back to tell me the details. And to ask me if I wanted to schedule a cleaning appointment (?). "It is late now for the dental hygienist to do the cleaning." Well what did I schedule the appointment for when I asked for cleaning to be done then? Left me puzzled. As a result, I like to give positive feedback when you have a great experience. Aspen Dental, was highly recommended by my mother, and she is not a lover of dental appointments, which I why I decided to try Aspen. From the first interaction to the last I was consistently pleased and even as writing this, could say I had a good time at the dentist! * Kate Wallace, Syracuse New York, scheduled my appointment (7/16/2018) o She made me laugh, answered my questions, but more than that, she anticipated my questions and gave me answers before I had to even ask! Humorously, she's my new best friend and if we lived in the same state, she's someone I'd hang out with, she was just the nicest. * Then I received the courtesy reminder call on day of visit, which I did not expect, but was happy to receive! (7/17/2018) * Day of appointment Taylor immediately greeted me, (I was earlier than needed for the visit) however he continued to check in while I waited and kept me apprised of timing. This also allowed me to see how he handled other patients and his level of service was Outstanding with everyone. * Roger took my x-rays and we talked about Soccer and Kickball, so he should remember me! Also, talked me through the process but also said "I promise to be fast" which I appreciated, as the mouth pieces can be uncomfortable. Additionally, he was fast, but made it seem easy because he was conversational. * Jasmine the internist was awesome! I asked her about schooling and could really sense a passion for the job. My perception is that she is motivated and wants to be knowledgeable as she was taking notes and of coursed I asked about them; she writes questions to ask about after a patients visit not want to interfere during the exams. It reinforced that Aspen employees are expected to be educated and that they hire staff, and interns who fulfill this expectation. * Jamie, who was not responsible for my care directly, I also managed to make friends with and was really funny, cracked me up! She is engaging and friendly with everyone, and that's great service. * Adored Alethea, and she will probably remember the veneer's/Snooki (from the Jersey Shore) conversation, which still makes me laugh. * Dr. Fazeli was kind, incredibly professional but also warming when we met and informative (I toned down the chattiness with the doctor, the best I could). * Following my exam I met with Taylor privately, (away from other patients) to discuss further care. I did not feel pressured, I felt informed and he offered suggestions. I apologize for the length of the review however if a team, can impact me, cause me to remember their names, and leave me with a sensation of having a good time, especially at the dentist, then I felt obligated to give feedback. As service staff, in any field, we often hear how terrible we can be, but I believe you should take the time to recognize when something, someone, a team, is truly Outstanding. I called aspen dental for a teeth cleaning. I recently moved to phx and this place was close to my house and under my insurance network. Not knowing the truth behind this place (huge corporation, services in 33 states with 550 franchised dental facilities that serve over 15,000 patients a day, Its headquarters is in DeWitt, New York, East Syracuse.) I moved forward and booked my appt. First- be prepared for a flood of emails and texts regarding your appt. I finally had to call and ask to be taken off their emailing list and that txt is fine. My appt. was at 1pm- I get there 12:50pm the receptionist says "they'll all be back from lunch @1:30pm" why the fuck am I scheduled for a 1pm appt. then? I fill out paper work, 3 patients walk in at seperate times between 1:10-1:30pm. It's around 1:45pm, someone who got there after me gets called back. Minutes later another one of the three gets called back. A few minutes later the third person gets called back. All while I've been sitting there before any of them walked in. It's around 2-2:10pm I get called back. The tech. Says we need to do X-rays. She obviously does not know what she is doing. Finally we finish. I am taken back and wait for the dentist. The dentist arrives says my teeth are good no cavities. The hygienist then comes, and is calling out numbers - apologizes for stabbing me with her dental apparatus. She says I have signs of early gingivitis. NEVER ever have I been told this, in fact quite the opposite. I've been told I have really nice cared for teeth. Next the hygienist says I'll be meeting with the financial coordinator. WTF? So I go into this room, and (my bf is a salesman- I know all the tricks) she immediately tells me I will need work costing 650-700$ And how would I like to move forward with payment? I literally laughed in her face. After I composed myself from laughing, I said ok, well we need to have a conversation because you can bet I'm not going to pay shit for something I have not agreed to do. (Well I was much nicer about it of course). I said first of all I don't need the toothbrush - which I 99.9% believe it's not covered so no I do not want it. I do not want the gel and paste your trying to sell me either. Unless ofcourse it's covered- which I doubt it is. I said I am literally here for my cleaning which is covered and that is it, so may I book an appt. for that? She said well since you've been diagnosed we can't treat you for anything other than what the hygienist has recommended first (the early stages of gingivitis). I said wel this is the first I'm hearing of this- I've only been told my teeth and mouth are in good condition so I'm going to have to get a second opinion. This was the only time she actually started to be helpful - once I threaten to take my business elsewhere. She started deducting the toothbrush, gel, and paste and said well if we deduct all of that your payment is only around 200$. I said I would book the appt. but I'm going to look around for a second opinion- she said well we need 60% deposit to book the appt. I have NEVER EVER had to pay to book an appt. for a dental visit. I said ok I do not want anything i decline everything, and I'll take my business elsewhere. Please ppl DO NOT go to aspen dental, they are crooks ripping you off!!!! Luckily I know all the sales techniques I knew to get out of there immediately. The thing about sales is when it's a good deal- they don't shove it down your throat with unessary fluff it's straight forward, to the point, and sounds good. This is ALL bad and they try to do it fast and make it as confusing as possible so you leave thinking " what the fuck did I just agree to?" But at that point it's too late. DO NOT agree to anything. This company is owned by corporate fucks who know nothing about dental care. They are in the $$$$ business. And will bleed you dry. After this I immediately went online and found out they are a huge corporation owned by people who know nothing about dental care. Just went to the dentist for the first time in about 10 years. Was a little nervous, as it's been a while. However, everybody was so friendly right from the start. GG, the front desk host, went out of her way to make sure my insurance situation was taken care of. The x-ray technician, whose name I didn't get, made sure to move super quickly, as quickly as he could, because the x-ray was hurting my gums. I was told that my insurance would pay a portion of the bill, then given my portion, which I payed. A year or more later I get a bill for the remainder of the bill because my insurance did not payed. Called my insurance and they told me that they refused this 'insurance portion' FROM THE BEGINGING. Aspen never actually talked with my insurance for pre approval, prior to the procedure. I tried 3 times since December to talk with a office manager, to dispute this or come up with a payment plan. Each time I was told that someone would call me back no one did. Now I get a collection notice from a collection agent. So I would not ever go to this establishment, I do not trust what they say. My cleanings continued to go up and up in price, during the year I was still going there. The office personnel are friendly to begin with but try and get answers on the phone. I absolutely LOVE Dr Sung. I found him after a traumatic experience at another dentists office. My teeth were so bad he had to remove several teeth and perform a couple crowns and create a bridge so I could eat. It had been several years since I had been to the other dentist. Dr Sung was ever so kind and gentle. When I met him I had to be drugged to see a dentist and had hives from the stress of going to a dentist. Now I don't need any prescription for pre dental anxiety. My dentist is the Best there is. I genuinely kind and compassionate man. If you have a fear of dentists and live in AZ I would call Aspen Dental and schedule an appointment with Dr Sung. read more

Biggest rip offs in the industry. The old days of used car salesmen is nothing compared to the business practice of these people. I made an appointment for teeth cleaning. At 1st they said my insurance wasn't accepted when I asked at th e time I made the appointment. The office manager came out a few minutes later and said she got the approval. I was then taken into the x-ray room and told they just needed to take some x-rays. It turned out to be a full series. My previous dentist would have gladly sent my x-rays if asked. After this the actual dentist came in and told me I needed a deep cleaning. I was sent to the financial mgr and told it would cost $1400 plus follow ups and it's not covered. I said thanks but no thanks. About 3 weeks later I received a bill of $168 for my co pay. First time I went to any doctor and was not informed about the cost of a procedure and my co pay. This is not a business I would ever recommend and I would advise caution if you decide to go there. read more

We were vacationing in Arizona for two months when during our second week here I started with a tooth ache that progressively got worse so not knowing of a dentist we remembered commercials for Aspen Dental and this office was the only one that could get me in immediately. They did X-rays and an examine and sent me home with a prescription for pennecilin and an appointment for a root canal. So today Dr. Mike did an incredibly excellent root canal. Easily the best job I've ever had for a root canal and in record time; in and out in 45 minutes. I'm flying to Arizona if I ever need another root canal. Buyer beware. I recently moved to a new city and was looking for a new dentist. By the TV commercials I decided to give Aspen Dental a try. After paying for a high dollar, four treatment gum disease procedure which I questioned if I would be paying any addition fees for the following three visits, I was told no, everything would be covered by the original contracted payment. The second visit I was asked to pay an additional $35 for this visit. I did and I got my teeth cleaned. Went in for my third visit and was told I owed $103 for this visit. I declined, cancelled the visit and left. The original price discussed and paid on the first visit was $650+. It became apparent on my third visit that this was going to be a dark hole with more added fees each time. I will be looking for a private practice dentist that will be up front with their patients with no fine print or add on services that are not needed. I work for a big business corporation where the customer is still always right. I can not say the same for Aspen Dental. I guess they pay too much for their commercials. Aspen Board Members need to be aware of this and address their add on services and fees to better serve the customer not just their bottom line. read more

I'm very upset with my initial first call to make an appointment and the information I was given over the phone. The information given to me was so misleading!!! I called and wanted to know an out pocket price for two teeth extractions because they were bothering me and one was starting to feel pain. I explained that I had two root canals done on both teeth from a different dentist and that I never had crowns put on them and that it had been a year since I had the root canals done beause I could not afford them. I told her that I saw another dentist 2 months ago. He told me that the 2 teeth cannot be saved that they would have to be extracted. I knew that was true because of their condition. That dentist wanted over $250 per tooth to extract them. I couldn't afford it. So I called many dentists offices, most of them were around the same price. After googling an affordable dentist, I saw Aspen Dental. I called and told them that I have no dental insurance and explained what I needed..even the tooth numbers 30 and 31. She gave me a price of $122 per tooth to be extracted. And that my x-rays and initial exam were free. I was happy with that and told her that I only wanted one tooth pulled right now and thats all I could afford and the other one in a week or two. She said that was fine. I verified right then that I only needed to pay a total of $122 when I came in for my appt. She said yes. I also asked if I could pay with my father's credit card without the card being present for the transaction and that I had the CC number, expiration and security code and they could also talk to him to verify it. My father offered to pay for it but lives out of state. Just to save him from wiring the cash to me. She said she would check to see if it was possible and put me on hold for a very long time. She came on the phone and said that it would be fine. So she made an appt for me. I honestly thought that this appt was to get one tooth pulled after my free xrays and exam. I get there did my x-rays way more xrays than imaginable! Had a hygienist check my teeth..she tells me I have gingivitis, bone loss, plaque build up under my gums etc. That I needed my teeth cleaned basically that I had lots of problems. How strange because the dentist I saw 2 months earlier said had a few small cavities and that my teeth were in good shape for my age with no gum problems and no plaque. Im not stupid, I dont have any plaque or tartar crap! Then the dentist checked my teeth only to say the same. So I said I didn't want to do anything else but to have the 2 teeth extracted that I could do one tooth now and that if it was easier to just do them both. I asked if they had time to just take both teeth out. They said no that I wasn't getting any procedures done today but the x-ray and a evaluation and that they are closing at 1pm on Friday. I said that I wasn't told that on the phone. The way they made it sound on the phone was that I was getting my tooth pulled for $122.00 that day of the appt. That wasn't the case. They said I needed to talk to their financial dept. She quoted me $250 for each tooth extraction plus the costs of getting my teeth cleaned. They totally mislead me just to get me in the door...to try to get me to pay way more money. I despise companies especially dentists offices that misrepresent their procedures and prices. I do not recommend even calling Aspen Dental. All they want is to get you in the door to tell you that you need many other procedures done. Such BS!! Yes, I need a few fillings but not $1000's of dollars of other procedures. I only wanted to take care of what I needed most and that was to extract 2 teeth because they were causing pain. The staff was just ok but not very friendly at all. I wasted my time going there. I cancelled an important Dr appt that takes weeks in advance to get thinking I needed my tooth pulled first..I regret it.. Like I said. The initial call was very misleading! I understood that I was getting a tooth pulled that day of my appt. And on top of it when I was told I wasn't getting my tooth extracted that day, I told them that's not the way I understood it over the phone. It was the way they handled it..I am 53 years old I'm not a child. It was like they ignored what I was telling them and what I was told on the phone initially and only proceeded to say that they close at 1pm on Fridays. What a waste of time! The Dentist seemed to be ok but the Hygienist tried to scam me for $450 for something that my insurance covered. The front office staff did not care and when I tried to get my records......well I'm still fighting them. They say they will email me a digital copy yet after several calls and a walk in. I still have not received them. Don't know about the other locations but this one on 44th Street is horrible. Advise to go elsewhere if you can or triple check everything. read more

Please don't go here if you need a new dentist. I wish i would've listened to the reviews beforehand. Dentist and staff are nice and all, but they are literally like car salesmen as a previous review states. Went in for a regular insurance covered cleaning, when I arrived they told me they wouldn't be able to do the cleaning that day but they could do the X-rays and checkup (gave me a weird vibe from then) but no one told me that when I set up the appointment. I left being told I have gingivitis (never ever been told I need to keep an eye one that and I have had multiple dentists in the last three years and keep up with my cleanings) and that I needed to pay over $200 for my "special" cleaning. Regardless of if I needed this or not, I did my research and called multiple previous dentists I've had (I move a lot) and no one charged over $50 for the same service. I was told at the time of the visit that it was optional but when I called back to schedule a regular cleaning and opt out of their recommended one, they refused service. Needless to say, I did not do that instead I called my insurance and they even reassured me that this company does that unfortunately. EVEN THE INSURANCE KNOWS THEY'RE A FRAUD. Felt like I was in a high pressure sales. Was only showing and giving me prices on expensive dentures even after multiple times of explaining I CANNOT afford that much. You advertise dentures starting at $399, Prices I was giving was no where that. I kept saying I NEED to talk it over with my wife and and see what our options are but just kept pushing the higher end dentures. I explained that I had care credit with a a limit of $1500 a payment I can afford, she insisted that I try for a credit limit increase, I didn't even think they would approve it on my credit limit, score, or income. Even with the increase to s7288 being in Payment range of of Approx $175 I still Can't afford. That would put me into financial crisis. Nor would you care about that you would be paid. Came here because I switched insurances and my old dentist was no longer in that network. All I needed was a six month routine cleaning which is covered in my insurance plan, however, the treatment plan they came up with would have ended up costing me over $400 out of pocket. Not only was the treatment plan they came up with super expensive and not covered by insurance but when I asked if there was any other options or way to make it cheaper he said no and that he could see if some of the optional things could be removed but it would be highly unlikely. With that being said I could tell they were trying to up sell me on at home products and laser treatments that were expensive and not covered by insurance so they could make some money. My previous dentist had no such treatments and did not recommend any of these things and I saw them just over 6 months ago. Will be finding another dentist and not coming back, they do not care about their customers. read more

Hokey dentist!!! I just moved here and had to find a new dentist after having my last one for the last 6 years so I thought I'd give Aspen Dental (by Arcadia area) a try. I've had zero cavities/fillings in my life and my past dentist/hygienist have always complimented my teeth and how healthy they are. And I pride myself in always going in religiously every six months for a cleaning. After meeting with Dr. David Sung he informed me that I "must've had a filling fall out on a back tooth and now I have a cavity that needs to be filled." He didn't show me or pull up anything on the X-rays to prove it OR even ask me if that was correct. All the while I'm thinking "I've never had a cavity/filling in the last 30 years of going to the dentist??" Without any further explanation/proof I was whisked away to the billing gal and her office (which I've never seen/heard of in a dentist office) to go over the several options for billing/costs based on what my insurance may it may not cover. I've had friends see bad dentists that are trying to put extra cash in their pocket by creating issues such as this said "filling/cavity" that needed to be taken care of. After they've followed the dentists recommendation they've had nothing but problems with the filling the dentist put in. Funny how that works huh? The dentist sure doesn't pay for all that work...we do. Needless to say I asked for my X-rays and found a new dentist (Dr. Russell T. Taylor) and guess what...he said "I don't see any concerns with your teeth at all, nothing a little cleaning won't take care of. Your teeth look great/heathy!" An "honest" dentist goes a long way in my book AND my pocket book!! If this dentist at Aspen says you need dental work I would highly recommend getting a second opinion! My first time visit, no insurance, I was nervous, however the staff was not offended! They said it's ok! My first visit was free! I'll be going back next month when my insurance goes in effect! But getting started was all I needed! I also checked out Aspen Dental online their website and the closest, they are everywhere! Low-cost is great! I attention I received was fantastic! Went to Aspen so they could check out one of wisdom teeth as it was impacting the surrounding area and cutting into my cheek. Just wanted to see if they're were any other options other than pulling it out. (My regular dentist couldn't fit me in for a couple days and aspen had an opening the next morning). Anyways they do their exams and talk to me about pricing. About $1000 to pull a tooth(probably because they wanted to put me to sleep). On top of that they tried to tell me I was at risk for developing gingivitis and that my gums needed treatment and that was going to run about an additional $600. Well I made an appointment with my regular dentist. And guess what only $300 to extract my tooth and all they needed was local anesthesia. Didn't even feel a thing. Oh and guess what my gums are healthy and I have nothing to worry about. Note to self: stick with your regular dentist even if it means waiting an extra day or two at least they won't over charge you and try to convince you to get treatments for things you don't need. read more

Over 15 min since my scheduled appointment has passed, still waiting, and another lady has been waiting over half an hour since her appointment time. When she asked about it the receptionist said she would check on it then started laughing/giggling at her. The lady said "this isn't a laughing matter" and the receptionist ignored her. Dr. Sung is AMAZING (and the rest of the technicians) do great work. However, the front office is completely disorganized, incompetent, over charges, Brooke in billing is unprofessional, clueless, and rude, scheduler writes reminder cards for appointments but doesn't schedule them, Jeanette always seems bothered when calling. Entire front office needs to be cleaned out and rehired with professional, experienced people. read more

There are many reasons my wife and I left Aspen dental @ arcadia Phoenix. They have billed me for services that i did not receive. They have charged me when i have already paid. Then had a collection agency harass me until they got it figured out. It is still on my credit report. Their staff changes often. It seems they just can not be professional.
