Between the last visit and this visit, I was a bit confused about future dental work I will need. It had been explained, but I just couldn't remember. The hygienist, using both x-rays and illustrations, explained everything in detail without making me feel inept. The dental cleaning I had yesterday [as in past visits] was thorough with no discomfort whatsoever. Dr. Roeder was equally thorough and personable with the exam. I'm one who asks lots of questions and wants to know everything. Every question, and more, was answered and expounded upon. Their focus on me made me feel like I was the only patient they had for the day. At no point did I feel rushed as if I was on an assembly line. You might think this kind of care would be pricey. It's not! I've had "assembly line dentistry" at renown dental practices that cost more. I also appreciate that I get a questionnaire after every visit and I can answer anonymously if I want to. In addition, their survey has links to other review sites such as Yelp. That's pretty awesome transparency. This dental practice definitely wants to know the patient experience. When I had a cavity filled, I got a call the next day asking how I was doing. I've never had a dentist do that. The waiting area as well as the exam rooms are modern, well illuminated and impeccably clean. Everything is geared at comfort for the patient, from the free refreshment area in the waiting room to the TV which offers movies you can watch during your dental procedures. If you're the nervous sort about dentistry, there are various levels of sedation you can choose. Everything is about comfort and expert care and their equipment is state-of-the-art. By the way, if you want to spend some time reading or watching TV in the spacious and awesome waiting area, you'd better arrive early for your appointment, because the wait time is no more than five minutes of your scheduled appointment. Dr. Roeder has been in practice for nearly 30 years. Not only does he attend seminars to learn cutting edge treatments, he can do everything from orthodontics to implants to gum revisions. I'm the kind of one-stop shopper, so I appreciate having a dentist who can do it all.

We chose Advanced Dentistry of Harleysville for convenience of location, provision of pediatric dental care, in-network insurance coverage, soonest new patient appointment, and reviews from other community members. I had contacted 3 other dental offices prior to making a decision. To say we had an incredible first experience is an understatement! My husband has some dental anxieties and had a wonderful experience with both the dental hygienist and dentist, Dr. Shah. His first appointment was scheduled for the next day which included X-rays and a thorough cleaning and examination. Everyone in the office is extremely friendly and honest without being pushy about services or "extras" that may not be needed. I went a week later with my toddler and had a wonderful experience as well. They were quick and great with my uncooperative toddler and did not mind him hanging out to wait for me to be done. My appointment felt very thorough as well and the staff, once again, was amazing. Dr. Shah laid out options for future dental work, but encouraged me to think about everything as it was not urgent. Not one person in the office was pushy with anything and explained each step and answered all questions. Wonderful experience with a very nice office and great staff. Highly recommend! When I called again an hour later because no one had returned my call, the same person told me once more that someone would call me back soon. Today Wednesday the 17th, after 10 AM, I finally received a call; after I expressed my dissatisfaction about waiting time for return call, the woman told me I had called too late the previous day. Since I was driving a large truck at the time, I couldn't provide my insurance details, but I told her I would supply them once I got home in a few hours. She said she wouldn't make the appointment without that information and that I had to call her back. (I wonder what would have happened if I didn't have insurance and was paying out of pocket.) I called them at 1:50 PM intending to provide the info and put an end to this absurd scheduling process, but I was in for a shock. A very rude woman informed me that someone would call me back shortly (I think I'd heard that before); when I objected and asked to speak to the right person, this rude individual hung up on me. I have just one message for the owners of Commonwealth Oral and Facial Surgery & Dental Implant Center: I am not the type of person who begs others to take my money. If this is how you treat a potential patient at the very beginning, I shudder to think how you treat them later. I called your competitors at 3 PM, and within 10 minutes--greeted with a smile and open arms--I had an appointment scheduled for two days later. Dr. Hersh made me feel so comfortable as he explained the procedure and what to expect during and after the surgery. He made sure I had a positive surgical procedure. He was very gentle and reassuring. Lianna was competent and very accommodating by making sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure. It's very rewarding to know your being taken care of by peope who show professionalism and care about your well-being. I also woukd like to mention the Front desk staff as well. Tornique was very nice, she call in my prescriptions and Tami offered me her lumbar pillow so I would be very comfortable in the dental chair during my procedure.
