On Thursday, Jan 29, I called to make my appointment at the Stockbridge location because I had a toothache for the past two days that was only getting worse. I was told that they could accommodate me with an emergency appointment for the next day at 09:30. I arrived at 09:15 am so I could complete my paperwork. The woman at the desk was on the phone as I signed in and I sat down. About 50 minutes later she acknowledged me and gave me the tablet to complete the questionnaire. I didn't get called to the back until 11:50. The woman took my x-rays and placed me in the room. The dental hygienist came in and evaluated me. I waited another 30 minutes for the dentist to come in. The dentist came in. Dr Redding. She was hurried, ragged, and unprofessional in her appearance and attitude. She was accompanied by the office manager. She looked in my mouth and after poking me hard with the metal instrument she said she was going to refer me to an endodontist. She seemed annoyed that I complained of pain at the surrounding teeth around the tooth that she could clearly see that I lost a filling and was causing me pain. "Well, which tooth did you say it was hurting you?" I pointed to the tooth that I thought was cracked because I could feel it is irregular. I couldn't see a filling was missing. She said she would give me pain medication and an antibiotic. First, I didn't want pain medication. I wanted the cause of the pain to be taken care of whether the cavity be filled or the tooth pulled. Second, I had no medical need to be placed on antibiotics. I don't have an abscess, infection, or heart disease. Third, she never asked if I wanted to have root canal and a crown done. When I asked her if this is what she called "Emergency" care, she made up some story about the pain could be coming from the tooth in front of the tooth that is causing my pain. That tooth had previously had root canal completed and how can the pain come from the crown which no longer has any nerve endings? How could that tooth cause pain? Then they both told me to wait in another room so the office manager could "check me out and give me an estimate of my cost". All I wanted was a copy of my x-rays so I could go elsewhere to be treated for my pain. After another 20 minute wait, the office manager had the nerve to print a copy of my "x-rays" from the printer in her office. I even told her that she wouldn't look my in my eyes when she spoke to me because she knew that what they were doing was wrong. This was the most frustrating and unprofessional experience I have ever experienced in a so called professional office. The place was filthy and floors looked like they had never been swept or mopped. I have attached pictures of the filthy floors that I took while waiting the long wait. All I wanted is copies of my x-rays so I could go to a real, professional dentist that practices real dentistry and not rip off artists. My whole morning and part of the afternoon was wasted in that office when I could have actually received help. Never ever again. Would not recommend this place to a dog. When I tried to call and complain, I was hung up on twice by corporate. Then sent an email and when I tried to reply to the so-called regional manager Sara.davis@aspendental.com, my email was sent back as "undeliverable". What a joke. read more

0 stars if i could! I had to file a complaint with corporate because they NEVER answer the phone! I was scheduled for a root canal, and PAID, last month, no one never called to verify my appt. I called TWENTY times that day, no response! So I had to drive there, which is 30 MINS, to verify my appt because no one answers the phone! The manager rescheduled my appt for 04/11. I received two text messages on 04/10. One confirming my appt then the other at 5:30 (after they're CLOSED) saying to contact the location because they need to reschedule. I called soon as they opened the day of my appt on 04/11, just to verify before driving all the way there! A lady answered and asked me to HOLD while she finishes up another patient. She placed me on hold for a HOUR then hung up all to which now, again, no one is answering. Piss poor customer service! Go to any location but this one! Funny, after I left my review and filed my complaint with corporate, I get a call from the location (sounds like the manager I saw last month regarding last months issue) and apologizes and says it was her that put me on hold and that it's just her answering the calls & she saw I've been calling. The same excuse I got last month but when you go in the location there's 2-3 ladies at the front desk! Had someone just answer the phone to let me know, instead of LAST MINUTE, it wouldn't have even gotten this far because I am VERY understanding! After they take your money, they intimidate you to accept unacceptable dentures, (color, size especially fit). They never answer the phone, (Stockbridge location). If they do answer, you are placed on hold and then they hang up on you. You can never, ever, get an appointment to be fitted correctly. The employees ALL have attitudes and act as if you are interrupting their day. My dentures were a waste of $$$ and time. My dentures made me gag every time I tried to wear them. Not being able to take with someone, wearing the dentures were uncomfortable and embarrassing. Imagine your at a formal dinner, or on a date and after your meal, you would have to take your dentures out because you are gagging! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. RUN from this large establishment. The only reason I keep returning is Dr. Oh - he's definitely the kindest and most helpful dentist I've ever had. His awesome personality makes him stand out. I'm truly grateful to have him as my dentist. However, the overall experience at this clinic has been far from positive. When they finished pulling all my teeth, the assistant got irritated with me because I told her it hurt when she tried to put the dentures in. She just threw them at me and told me to put them in myself if I was going to be "difficult" I had no idea what to do but cry & run out of the office. I've had to redo the process of getting dentures twice & have had numerous adjustments, for over a year. I just want my dentures to fit. They were adjusted a few weeks ago & need more adjustments as their still not right. Going there is always a hard time for me & after all these excessive visits, my dentures are still not correct. It's really absurd. I cringe about going in due to all the mistreatment I have sustained there. Another major issue is the phones never being answered and messages never being returned, despite the office manager, Chrystal, telling me to email her, she never helped me get a call to schedule me but that never happened. The worst incident was when a different dentist, Dr. Pearlo, yelled at me for being unhappy with how the $10,000 dentures fit. She caught herself & apologized for being"harsh." She then tried to gaslight me, claiming I was in the wrong & didn't know what I was talking about. Luckily, Dr. Oh was able to fix the problem, which was that the dentures were far too big and didn't fit my mouth. He treated me with compassion, & definitely didn't yell at me unlike the unprofessional, outrageous behavior I experienced from the others. If not for Dr. Oh, I would have done anything to avoid returning to this clinic. The amount of anxiety I feel going there is terrible. I just want, & expect courtesy & respect & also for my dentures to fit. How is that too much to ask? I've shared all of these issues with Chrystal when they happened. I was crying in her office over the way I was being mistreated. The only saving grace is Dr. Oh, who is only there a few days a week, so appointments can be difficult to come by. UPDATE: This situation with the dental office is an absolute nightmare. It has continued since I wrote this review, which apparently corporate read & prompted the office manager, Chrystal, whom I've already dealt with to no avail, to reach out in an attempt to "resolve" my problems. However, Chrystal's approach was completely counterproductive and only served to further upset and distress me. Rather than addressing my concerns in a professional and empathetic manner, Chrystal became defensive, confrontational, and even started raising her voice and talking over me. This aggressive and bullying behavior was the complete opposite of what I needed, and it left me feeling even more anxious and uncertain about returning to the office. I continue to have to go there as it seems that they just can't get my $10,000 dentures to be acceptable & correct. I made it clear to Chrystal that everything I said in my review was honest, true, & she knew it had happened. Chrystal seemed unwilling to acknowledge this or take any accountability. Instead, she simply stated that the dentist who had mistreated me was no longer at the office, without providing any further explanation. Chrystal has been aware of all the issues I've had and her unwillingness to fully address the situations just adds to my confusion and frustration. Feeling increasingly upset and overwhelmed, I told Chrystal she was upsetting me by the awful way she was treating me & I didn't know what she wanted from me. I did ask Chrystal to make me a new appointment (since I couldn't get anyone on the phone & my dentures were still incorrect) which she did so "begrudgingly & hung up on me. I'm left feeling even more anxious about returning, as I have no idea how Chrystal will treat me in person after this confrontational, rude, phone call. It's no wonder I feel like that office is like stepping into hell when the office is run by her. Seeking further resolution, I then reached out to the corporate office, where I was finally met with some empathy and humanity. The customer service representative listened to my concerns, apologized for the poor treatment I had just received and promised that a regional manager would be in touch. This was a stark contrast to Chrystal's aggressive and dismissive behavior, and I think it's understandable that I am confused - if i am the one paying for the services, shouldn't the staff be working to ensure my satisfaction and comfort? Overall, this situation seems to be a complete breakdown in customer service on every level, inhumane treatment & a severe lack of accountability, leaving me feeling utterly betrayed, mistreated, and anxious about my future interactions with this dental office. I am warning you you do not want to come here My upper dentures snapped five times in the course of two months they have yet to be repaired and now I'm being told I will not get them back. All I have in my mouth of the lovers. This is just ridiculous. I hate this place. Today's word is incompetent! I'm so disgusted with this company. As a whole, they are horrible! I went in for a cleaner and the dentist said I had gingivitis. I looked at her side ways. I went to another location and my teeth/gums are healthy & clean, the hygienist had nothing to clean. I wasted a whole month going back and forth with Aspen and my insurance company trying to get a predetermination for a bridge. Aspen said they sent it in, the insurance company said they never got. Back and forth for a whole month just for it to be denied because Aspen Dental said it was a replacement. It was NOT a replacement, but an original first time bridge. Back and Forth another 2 months. CONCLUSION: Give me my xrays and they can go kick rocks. Stay away from large dental businesses.
