It smelled so wonderful it made me hungry too!! I had an opportunity to sit in on my great aunt in an activity. The interaction was so respectful and nice. The activity was crafting a necklace and the coordinator was so patient and helpful. Braswells give me a confident feeling that my great aunt is cared for properly. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking.

Finally I realized she needed more than me to help her, so I toured Braswells Chateau Villa. Imagine my surprise when I received a nice welcome upon my arrival. Right away I noticed the spaciousness of the dining room and these beautiful high chandeliers. I got to listen to a resident play the piano beautifully in the lounge. I was impressed with the courtyard in the middle of the building with an elegant stone waterfall. I got to meet the activities director and got an activities calendar. Immediately I knew this was the right place for my mom. So, I moved her in and I am happy to see her thriving and wanting for nothing. Just what I wanted for her senior years. I felt as if she were reading from a script that she didn't want to read and that she had made up her mind that we were not the " type " of people whom she would want. Our loved one has the best insurance and if anything wasn't covered we could easily pay the cost. The odd thing about it is this facility does not have a on site physician , he must be called. Evening and overnight nurses other than 1 withhold meds and laugh about it if you anger them by complaining. Social services is a joke, activities director has zero people skills. Food is horrible. Administration staff is difficult to get in contact with. House keeping doesn't properly clean patients rooms. Staff goes through belongings as patients sleep. Hoyer lifts barely work, 3 hoyers too 100 patients. Patients dropped while being lifted with hoyers, shower room smells of mildew. There are a few good employees but the bad ones make it harder for the good ones.

It was great before COVID, but after shutting in the residents for a full year, and changes in…read moremanagement, it was no longer a welcoming place. My mom's carpet was held down by duct tape for a year. They never cleaned the carpet and we finally paid to have it done. The staff was hostile at times, as my mom was suffering from dementia before we finally moved her to a better place. Generally, the facility is nice. My mom liked the food and the other residents were kind and friendly. Important to remember -- they raised the rent by almost the legal maximum every year. We started at $3900 in 2019 and increased to $5400+ by 2024. They will gouge you if they can. Find another place
