I visit her once a month (or so) and we have gone to the resident dining maybe twenty times. From the first time I was shocked by the quality of the food. My first time I was expecting an old-school cafeteria-style food service with metal trays and food slopped onto the plate. This was completely different. The food was shockingly good, and the meal of the day (lunch) always has a soup, a main meal and a dessert. It's not overly fancy but the food in actually really tasty and they give you good size portions. The staff are very attentive and polite and the experience is a very pleasant dining experience. Today we had garden vegetable soup along with pot roast, scalloped potatoes and peas, with apple pie for dessert. The pot roast was excellent and the potatoes were exceptional. You know the food is good when the head chef/manager of food service is there talking with residents to make sure she gets feedback concerning the food that she prepared. Currently the dining area in being remodeled and should be done by the end of this year. So, the dining area currently is less then amazing, and what they can offer is limited. I'm looking forward to the new dining experience once they have their grand opening later this year.

The staff here have genuine heart. They are kind, attentive, and consistently go above and beyond for their residents. Our loved one resides in memory care, and while this stage of life can be emotional, the Claremont Place team has made the journey feel lighter. The caregivers, Med Techs, administrative staff, dining staff, maintenance, laundry, and everyone in between are intuitive, patient, and treat residents with the dignity and warmth you hope for when you entrust someone you love to another persons care. Management is honest, respectful, and responsive. Any concern is met with clear communication and prompt follow through, and their experience working with older adults is evident in the way they anticipate needs before they become issues. It feels like a true partnership. They also bring joy to daily life. Holidays and celebrations are handled with thoughtful intention, and the food and activities create a sense of home and community. We visit often, but it brings real peace knowing we do not have to. Our loved one is in very good hands. We are genuinely grateful for the team at Claremont Place and the care they continue to provide.

My mom moved into assisted living at Claremont Place about two and a half months ago. She has her…read moreown room, kitchenette, and bathroom and two closets. In her room, she has a single bed, a large recliner, a dresser, two large chairs and a small desk for her computer with a chair. She has a nice big window with a view of the garden that she can see from her chair. With all this in the room, she still has lots of space to maneuver her walker safely and get to the window and her air handler to make herself comfortable. The food is very good. We eat there often with my mom. Most of the servers make an effort to remember my mom's preferences and they bring her what she wants before she even asks. Staff is attentive, concerned and proactive. The front desk is a hub for all information and if they don't know the answer, they follow up. I will post more updates in the months to come. Overall we made the right choice.

Additionally, neither my brother nor I were notified when my mother passed away. I learned of her death two hours later when a Sheriff answered her phone when I called, which was devastating. When we first toured, we met Tirso, whose exceptional customer service and caring approach made us feel very comfortable. His honesty and transparency about the community, the services, and the straightforward pricing convinced us to choose Sunlit. During the first couple of weeks, Dad had some adjustments and settling-in issues. The staff called us to share their concerns but assured us they were there to support Dad and help him settle in successfully. Our father has been at Sunlit for a few months now. We are very pleased with the care Dad receives and the quality of his stay at Sunlit. He tells us he likes the staff, enjoys the food, and lives very comfortably. When we pick him up on weekends, he is happy, clean, and ready to go, and we appreciate the staff's flexibility in preparing him for our outings. The team at Sunlit is amazing, and we wanted to express our gratitude for their dedication. The upkeep of the community, the management, and all the team are greatly appreciated. I don't think I fully appreciated the quality of her living situation until the last few weeks. My mom suffered a fall and needed hip replacement. My mom will be returning home tomorrow after surgery to a full array of help from familiar faces. Ten days in a skilled nursing/rehab hospital is a stark reminder of how much we need places like Oakmont to care for our elderly. I am so thankful that she sold her house and moved to assisted living before we were up against the wall with a health crisis. I know she will be well cared for at Oakmont.

They're all very friendly and everyone we came across was cheerful and patient with any of my mom's needs. That's first and foremost. Now, in terms of the actual environment, our family couldn't be more happy and grateful to have found such a clean and well maintained facility and with all its beautiful grounds. It's basically a resort! It's amazing! Thank you to Miranda for her patience and always cheerful attitude in helping us with all of the questions and needs in getting our mom set up and moved in. Also, thank you to Minerva and all of the AMAZING staff at the Summer House who have great patience, wonderful caring hearts and such a friendly attitude towards the elderly that love there!
