This is horrible. Highly recommended, but really disappointed. Wanted sound more than TV, but can't even get the TV on for local news. Sound has disappeared a couple of times in only 2 weeks! Once again the pros from Aspen Sound have come to aid this auto audiophile! It's a good thing too because I learned what was going on and what needed to be done. Let's start by saying my Alpine head unit was blanking out more often than playing music. I had brought it in a few times previously and each time they were able to pop it into playing longer; however their expertise ended at the sound gear. But it was still happening so last Wednesday (6/22) I brought it back for a diagnosis. So I find out the stereo and amps were fine, but there is something happening within the larger electrical section of the car. BINGO! I took the car to Tune Tech and they are looking into it. They have found out that my (supposedly) fresh battery has an internal short in it and so no charging is happening and it migrated to the alternator and voltage regulator. I'm mighty lucky that it did not take out the new sound gear (that would have been painful). So, again, I'm glad that the guys from Aspen Sound (especially James) were willing to dive deep and find out for sure what was the root cause of the problem and rule out the new gear entirely. Now I get a vacation from the car for the weekend and the car is getting fixed (umm I wonder what Honda would've done?) properly and next week, it'll be putting the right voltages the way it should be. I'm not saying Aspen is the end all for fixing electrical problems, as they aren't, but they are the best at listening to the customer and helping them find the solution for a problem that comes along in the life of a car audio system even if in the end it all comes out wonderfully. So now the next stop is getting El Red Dragon back to pumping out voltage that's just wright so the tunes play pretty! read more

I went into Aspen Sound on division in Spokane Washington for months ago to ask them to hook up to six by nines to my system that I've had since 2008 that were previously hooked up to the system. I dealt with Kyler and after leaving the store I had a problem with my stereo system now keep in mind I've had it since 2008 and I've not had any problems before going into Aspen Sound. After they hooked up, the speakers and I left, the music was inverted and wasn't playing properly So I had to take my car back. That's when they told me I needed an amp to fix the problem. I already had 2 but I bought it because I wanted my stereo to work properly. After leaving, I still had an issue with my car and I had to take it back again. Then they told me I blew my four-door speakers. Please keep in mind these four-door speakers were less than a year old and they were professionally installed by Best Buy. They were the kicker brand , I had all kicker speakers in my car before going to Aspen Sound. After leaving with the door speakers, I still had a problem so I had to take my car back again. Then they told me I blew my subs up. I really got mad and I lost my mind and I told him know that you blew my subs up. I don't go in my settings and I don't mess with anything because I know this will blow my equipment up. So they replaced those two speakers and they should've reimbursed me for the four-door speakers because they blew those up as well but they didn't. So after the subs were installed I still had a problem and I had to turn around and take my car back again. So now my whole system blacks out and shuts off. They aren't willing to take responsibility for any of this so I'm out $1700 and four months later I still have a problem . Before going into Aspen Sound, I didn't have any problems with my stereo system from 2008 until 2003. It was working perfect. I've only had problems for four months since walking into Aspen Sound buyer beware they suck I was dealing with Kyler and all he was doing was up selling me the entire time and now he's lying and saying I wanted that app I am furious. read more

I was so excited for Aspen sound to install my auto start during the winter. I walked in and was greeted instantly. They helped me, I chose the one I wanted installed and scheduled an install date. Brought my car in and after installation instantly noticed that it wasn't the one I chose. The sales person told me that the one I reserved wasn't available so they installed (the one I didn't want) another one without even notifying me. He told me he would call around and call me soon. 3 weeks later, no call so I called back and told that person my situation. Granted I love my auto start, but with this one installed I can't open my trunk from my car keys unless my key is in the ignition. He went to inform me that the only thing he could do was charge me to hook it up to another auto start they were going to offer me, but I had to pay the difference (about $200). Long story short, they don't respond or care of your problem even though they were the one that messed up to begin with. I will never go here again and will not be recommending them. read more

WORST car-installation EXPERIENCE EVER!!! My initial appointment with Aspen Sound was a huge RED FLAG I was initially told a price-match quote for remote start/keyless entry. When arriving to my appointment last week I was informed that they would not be able to honor the quote that was given to me and I would have to pay another $170 because of my "car type". I said that has to be wrong because upon making this appointment, my vehicle make and model was searched and I was told 2 different times it would only be a certain amount. When I was about to leave, he said he could do it for another $130. At this point, I felt like I was trying to get up-selled and I asked for the General Manager's info and left. We spoke to the GM later that day, Brian Lombardi, he agreed with the initial quote. I came back for my 2nd appt at 1:00pm on 12/19/2018 and ONCE AGAIN... an employee of Aspen Sound told me that it is going to be MORE MONEY. I told him to speak to the GM. While I was walking away from the counter the worker said sarcastically, "Man I love my F$%^ing job." I cannot believe the level of horrible customer service these employees of the North Division Aspen Sound. THE WORST PART IS... they never completed the installation I was paying for!!! THEY SAID MY CAR WOULD BE DONE BY 5:00PM. I finally showed up around 6:15 after receiving no calls that my car was completed/that they would need more time. They kept my car until 7:30pm and I was told to "SHUT UP" twice by the General Manager, Brian Lombardi, after I made contact with him while I was awaiting for my car outside the closed store. There was 1 worker, Ryan, who was "taking my car apart" according to Brian Lombardi. It was well over 6 and half hours they were "working on my car" with NO COMMUNICATION. I received a call around 7:30pm that Ryan took my car out of the garage, left it unlocked and my keys on the floor and DID NOT DO THE JOB!!! I had left the store after sitting outside for 45 minutes on and off the phone with GM Brian Lombardi as he was highly disrespectful and very vulgar. He also said "we are doing you a favor" and that "Ryan is missing his employee Christmas party" because of me. My car was sitting unlocked at night in North Spokane with the keys in plain view. I had a few issues, but David at Aspen Sound called me first thing this morning and has worked tirelessly all day to resolve them. The issues were with the financing company, not with the sound. The amp install was clean and it sounds better than I thought it would. I am very impressed with the fact that they actually care about the customers after we are gone. Last Minute Aspen Sound is your new name. I had an installation appointment for 9am to install a new deck in my truck. I was there at 8:45am as was the installer but the manger came sliding into the parking lot at the very last minute at 8:59am and ran in the door to open the store. I was a bit offended by the political stickers on his car but that's beside the point. I drop off the keys and I was the only customer in the store. This 1.5hr job took 8 hours to complete. I asked why and they said they decided to put my truck in the bay at 2:30pm and I didn't get my truck back till 5:30pm. So even though I had an appointment for 9am they waited till the Last Minute to start actually working on my truck.... Thank you for wasting my whole day Last Minute Aspen Sound.... I really had high hopes for this store, but I have to say I'm disappointed. The hope was that if we paid a premium price, we would receive premium service. We did not. We spent over $1500 on a car alarm and window tinting for our car. These were probably the highest prices in town, but we wanted it done right. We went in to pick up our car, and while we were inside the store going through the paperwork and paying, one of the installers pulled our car out of the shop and parked it right next to busy Division street. One problem: He left the car keys and remote SITTING ON TOP OF THE CAR. It sat our there like that for a good 15 minutes; anybody could have seen the keys, opened it with the alarm remote (which was on they key chain) and driven our new car away. Are you kidding me?!? It makes you wonder what kind of attention to detail is done in the shop when you catch flagrant mistakes like this. Then, the salesman came out to demo how the alarm system worked, by now it was just after closing time. As he was trying to show us how the shock sensor worked, he was pounding on the side of our car with his fist, and I could hear the buttons on his jacket clacking on the paint every time. Seriously? Perfect paint on a car, and he was smacking it with his button. Absolutely no respect for a pristine vehicle. Furthermore, the shock sensor would not work, no matter how hard he smacked our car or reefed on the plastic rear spoiler (dude, c'mon...use some sense!). So, we had to return a SECOND time to get the sensitivity adjusted, which is totally inconvenient. They couldn't get it to work, and told us if we have to keep coming back for adjustments there would be a "tech fee" to work on it. This is so stupid, it makes my head spin. This is a business that sells itself as "premium", but is lackluster at best. Just because you pay extra does not mean you get better service. read more

On the first install you broke interior parts on my vehicle. On the second install you removed the mounting bracket for my inverter stuffed the amplifier underneath of it and caused a short circuit in the inverter wiring and have now cost me money. I strongly recommend any customer find a different establishment to buy and have installed your stereo equipment. Try to enjoy your days. read more

I recently needed to upgrade the wife's camry, headunit and add a backup camera. I assessed the options in Spokane, and settled on checking out Aspen Sound based on some good reviews, and that they run multiple locations. I went in on a rainy afternoon so they weren't too busy, and I had done my research on Crutchfield so knew what may fit. Zach was my sales agent and he was really great. He answered all my questions honestly, but also when I knew what I wanted he went with it. I wasn't sure on alpine vs kenwood, and he really enthusiastically recommended the kenwood unit. Anyhow, I settled on what I was looking for, and payed for it, and he said they could get it in on that Sunday. So we drove it up and turned it in. When we picked it up, I was just really impressed with the whole experience. The install was perfect and exactly what I was looking for, aka it has to look and feel professional. The unit is awesome, and looks and works great. Zach took time to pair my wife's phone, take her through apple car play and how to adjust the camera. These guys were great. Honestly, I was shocked they have bad reviews. They sure seem to know their stuff, and I would think if something was wrong they would fix it. I am looking to do my boat soon, and this experience has definitely swayed me to use them for the update. I can't wait. Great experience. Zach was awesome. Exactly what I was looking for. Would recommend aspen sound over car toys every day. Had a problem with my stereo, took it to car toys and they tried to sell me all new speakers and a stereo without even diagnosing my stereo first and not wanting to diagnose it. Took my car to aspen sound and they got me in right in that moment insisted that they diagnose it first. They figured out the problem in 10 minutes and they did not try to sell me on everything in the store. I picked a simple deck and they worked on prices with me for something that would work for me and got my stereo replaced and fixed within an hour and a half. The guy out front that helped me was very informational, nice and not pushy at all. He showed me a stereo that was nice but out of what I was looking to spend. I told him that he didn't press the issue just gave me what I was looking for. So happy with my purchase! read more

My boyfriend had an appointment on a Wednesday in hopes to have it done by that weekend it took them about two weeks and the day before he picked it up they only had part of the wiring done so they pretty much just had his car sitting and rushed to get it done the night before because they could tell he was angry! Aspen Sound on division was a great experience! I had them install a remote start on my 4Runner and it took them a day and everything worked as expected. A few days later I came back in because I decided I wanted to upgrade my remote to a longer distance one and they took back the other one no problem and linked up the new one in a matter of minutes. All was well during the initial consultation. I went in looking for tower speakers and a 12" sub for my boat and the salesman helping me promised me all sorts is free goodies. I ended up buying 2 10" tower speakers, two subs, a new deck and 2 amps which was all well and good. The issue I have was with the salesman. He promised me he would throw in a free dial to adjust my tower speaker sound and my sub level because as he put it "we like to throw in free gifts." My tower was previously wired for tower speakers and the salesman said the wires may not work so charged me for a new wiring harness to go up my tower. This is where the issues arouse: I get a call around 10 pm stating I have to come down and pick my boat up because it was done and they had to put other vehicles on the bay. How inconvenient. When I get there I pay $5200 bucks and take my boat home. I read the receipt a few days ago and I was charged for the dial adjustment the salesman promised me was free and for new wires to go up my tower even though they used the existing harness and connections! What a joke. If you have a big project go elsewhere because this place promises but does not deliver. Also, I am not sure if my tower speakers are supposed to "hum" loudly when the sound is not to load but they do badly. Could be the old existing wires they decided to use and charge me for? I'm not sure but I'll be taking it back in for them to take a look at it soon. I was going to have them put in a couple more 6 inch tower speakers and another 12 inch sub this fall but they lost my business. I will be going elsewhere. read more

I switched forms snows auto to Aspen sound almost 2 years ago because they do better quality work. Yes it might cost a little more but you pay for what you get. I still have issues with my vehicles that Snows auto did the instal but Aspen Sounds install, no issues! Great work guys! read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. Told me my amp was dead when it was just wired wrong. Took it to a pawn 1 and the guy who helps with selling radios asked about it and I showed him, and he spotted the mistake in the wiring. This shop just wants you to spend money here. Tried to sucker me into paying for a new amp when mine was just like new. Would NOT recommend. Jose the manager in the end refused to make it right, refused to give me back the 200 dollar cash deposit i gave in cash. Became rude and disrespsctfull. And followed me to the door continueing in his behavior after keeping my 200 dollar deposit. In the past 3 years I have had Aspen Sound install a stereo in my sons Escape, my Nissan as well as furnish and install an 80" Samsung tv and home theater components. I have had the good fortune to have met Brian Lombardi, Brian takes my calls or texts whenever I have a question. The service after the sale is stellar as illustrated by my recent switch from Dish to Direct after which Aspen responded immediately to retune and tweek the system. This is a long overdue review. I have been so pleased with Aspen Sound. We've had two remote starts installed by the people in their Division store. Before the installation, the sales process was terrific. I went back a number of times before making my final purchase decision and they never made me feel badly about taking my time. Anyway, one of the installations was quite a challenge as it was for an old Ford Ranger with a manual transmission, Ford factory security, door pin issues, and, as it turned out, a problem with the emergency brake. The installer(s) didn't give up until the remote start was working perfectly. The other car was a simple straightforward installation. We're quite happy with both installations with Aspen Sound and have already been back for other products. read more

We are extremely disappointed and frustrated. My mom had an appointment at 12 this afternoon, she dropped her car off at 11:45AM and the guys said her car would be done at 4:30PM because she needs her car in the morning for work. She never heard from them so at 5PM she called and they said they were running late and wanted her to leave the car there overnight. She reminded them that she had to work in the morning and needed her car. By 8:30PM, she still had not heard from them so I picked her up and we knocked on the garage door at 8:45PM. The guys there said it would be another 30 minutes. We didn't leave until almost 10pm. She waited 10 hours for her car. I understand that it's a busy time of year, but what is frustrating is the ZERO communication. Not one phone call was made to let her know they were running late. And no receipt was given. read more

The North Division Aspen sound is the best! Jose was wonderful and went above and beyond with all our questions and concerns. They ensured what they installed looked good, even modifying the covers to make the DVD players look their best inside the car. I have had two installs (one remote start and now DVD players) and both times they have been incredible. I highly recommend them. Each person I've interacted with has been polite and helpful. The owner was wonderful when he helped me with my remote start a couple years ago and Jose helped us recently with our DVD player selection and install. I am very happy and plan to return. I shopped around for an IPhone integrated head unit and backup camera at; Car Toys, Sounds on Wheels and Aspen sound. Aspen sound had 2015 models that were on sale ($100 off), winning my business. The only price differential between them and the competitors was the discounted head-unit; which all in it was $1,180 at Aspen. I scheduled an appointment for 12-4 that ended up going till after 7 due to "the car in front of me" so I had to wait in town. I arrived to find just the manager left inside and the tech taking my car out. The tech did a good job on wiring in the car but there was grease left all over the outside after (and some on the inside panels he worked on), fortunately the grease was not hard to clean up. Also, they needed to charge me another $20 for a longer cable to run. It wasn't a big deal because they assured me that I got "such a good deal" because the assistant included tax on my invoice but not in the actual price (it would've been around $1,280). Aspen's "great deal" would have been a rip-off if they had included tax, then it would have been the exact same price as their competitors but for a year older head unit. I enjoy the stereo after installation but the backup camera is pointed directly out like looking out your back window, not right behind you. It makes it so I am unable to actually tell the closing distance while backing up, exactly what I need for my parking garage. I brought my car back a week later and asked for it to be adjusted but their response was "They would have to custom make some plastic to adjust the angle of the camera. It will take two hours (but they cant do it now) and will cost $70". I asked why $70 to actually do it right and why it wasn't covered by their guarantee, they responded "because of making the piece of plastic and fitting it to get the right angle after backing the screws out". I know the plastic will be cut off a sheet and they use a Phillips head to back the camera screws out, then when they screw it back the angle will change. The toughest part of the process is making sure the camera adjusts to be pointed at the right angle, something I figured a backup camera installer would do initially. In the end I figure it is something that I can do for free and hopefully relatively easy. It is unfortunate that they don't stand by their work while they are a premium priced shop with a "guarantee". I have brought three cars to Aspen Sound in the past and I do not plan on doing it again or recommending them to friends. Update: A week after bringing my car in to have the camera fixed and posting a review I received a follow up phone call from Jose at Aspen sound. He explained that although their tech had said it was incorrectly installed and tried to bill me for it, they would stand by their installation and fix it for free. Jose also mentioned using this as a learning opportunity for the tech and store employees to understand how they stand by their work. When I was able to I brought my car back and they installed a new camera. The new camera is now angled down and is exactly what I wanted when I started looking for one. It may have taken three trips in, a brutally honest public review and 2 hours past their estimated time each visit but they made sure I was happy. I would recommend Aspen sound, just be sure to price shop with their competitors and if you ever have a problem, talk to the manager about it. read more

Great experience. Had remote start, Kenwood deck and window tinting installed in my GMC. Sales staff (Jose) took the time to walk through all the options all the while asking questions to narrow down the right product for me. I didn't feel rushed like I had at some of the competitors I had visited down the road. Pricing for both the equipment and installation were very competitive and reasonable. They even offer a price matching guarantee on equipment. To be sure, I looked up the equipment I was purchasing on the internet and found Aspen's pricing to match the lowest I could find. Installation was very clean and function is as expected. Have seen some reviewers complain about install time, and it taking an hour longer, etc. you need to ask yourself if you would rather someone rush the install and have it done at the exact moment, or would you rather it takes the time necessary to do a quality job? Highly recommend and will do business with them again in the future. read more

Went in to get a Viper 5706v installed, it was estimated at 6 hrs. It took the tech 8+. This would not have been a big deal if I hadn't drove up from the tri cities, 2 hrs away. This was the Viper recommended installer. That said, they did an good job on the install but failed to tell me the lights wouldn't go out if I left them in the on position and stopped the truck with the remote. The install on my Toyota Tacoma was new to them as they didn't know about the lights issue. I know this sounds bad but again they did a good job and tbe extra hours of work weren't added on. They also came up with the fix for the light issue. On a side note, the Theater Room is pretty cool. The only thing I would recommend is that for customers thst wait a long time, get some drinks for them. Other than that good job. read more

I was interested in having them install a 12 Volt adapter in my glove box. Called to get a quote but was told by Jose I had to come in to get the quote. I drove from the S. Hill to the N. Division store. I was given a quote but told I could not get in until 3:30 in the afternoon. Later in the day, I drove back up to the store, and Jose told me my appointment was at 3. Although it was 3:20, he told me he was "wondering where I was". No one called me to ask. I told him I was quite sure my appointment was for 3:30. He became combative, raising his voice and blurting out "WHY WOULD I HAVE TOLD YOU THAT, IT MAKES NO SENSE???" I simply picked up my keys and while I was walking out, he yelled "have a nice day". Excellent customer service is NOT what you'll get at this store, go somewhere else. Life is too short, and money is too scarce, to deal with them. Huge hassle, rude customer service. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews before I took my new car there. They gave me a quote, I set up an appointment, arrived a little early and left the car with them. When I returned at the time they said it would be done they hadn't touched the car! Since I was back there, they took it right in. To make a long story short it wasn't finished until closing--hours later. When I went to pick it up they tried to charge me for added parts and unnecessary add-ons. There was not a single phone call to discuss the "extra" (unnecessary) charges. When I went in to pick it up,they had a third person come out to talk to me saying "Jose was in the back with another customer". After many tries to get me to pay for what I didn't want, or order, I said I wanted to talk to Jose. Conveniently, for him, "he left but told another person all about it" and "couldn't talk to me now". I know he just sent the third person to try to talk me into paying more-he didn't have the courtesy to talk to me himself. All this after closing by now. Finally, I paid for what I agreed to and I will never go back or recommend this company. Be careful! From the reviews this sounds like a common practice. Get your quote in writing before they start and don't pay for anything more. Don't expect any calls on updates and be prepared to spend more time than estimated for any service.
