Phil and Johann are truly exceptional trainers who have transformed my health and lifestyle in ways I never thought possible. Living with type 1 diabetes for over 25 years means managing blood sugars around the clock--there are no days off. On top of that, working remotely left me stuck in a mostly sedentary lifestyle. I tried countless diets and fad HIIT classes, but nothing ever stuck. That all changed when I started training with Phil and Johann. With their guidance, I not only got my nutrition under control, but I also lost over 25 pounds in just 7 months. Even more importantly, I reduced my daily insulin intake by 50% and lowered my A1C levels--results that both my doctor and I are thrilled about. Beyond the numbers, I feel sharper, more confident, and happier. The brain fog is gone, my mental health is stronger, and (who would've thought?) I even became a gym girlie along the way. Phil and Johann bring a thoughtful, personalized approach to every workout and check-in. I've only started working out at Aspire this year and the results have been great! I was able to work with the trainers, Johann, Phil, and Charlie, who are all very supportive & knowledgeable. I noticed more overall strength, feeling better mentally, and last but not least, locking in on a clean diet thanks to Phil's guidance and support. Aspire is a private gym, so I enjoyed not having to deal with the rush one would expect at a bigger commercial gym. Their facility also has nice A/C for the hot summer days and there is plenty of parking. I took labs before starting at Aspire and after. The results were lower LDL, triglycerides, and BMI amongst others. The changes made in terms of nutrition and exercise at Aspire paid off! I highly recommend coming here if you want to improve your health, strength, and well-being.

Today marks a very special day training at Aspire Fitness because I've officially lost 70 pounds and I feel like I'm in the best shape of of my life. Phillip and Johann have been amazing trainers and the diet has been the thing that got me to my goals. Phillip has been extremely diligent with me and always encouraging me and I can't believe we made it this far. I've been training with Phillip for years from kick boxing to weight lifting to getting my diet in check. If I can do it, anybody can!! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to achieve their fitness goals and getting in shape!

My biggest concern when finding a training was getting too bulky and bigger in areas I didn't want to. Phillip taught me that lifting weights would not get me like that and I decided to have faith in him. I'm down 6kgs(13pounds) in 2 months and I feel like the slimmest and strongest I've ever been. Phillip has definitely been the best personal trainer I had. He's personable and really cares about what he does. I would totally recommend him for anyone looking for a slimmer body shape.

Aspire Fitness was, and continues to be, my best investment in 2023. In a little less than 2 months I've managed to loose 19 lbs (29 in 26 in waist) and feel like the best version of myself. I've always found difficulty in dieting, however, the customized diet plan takes into account what you like/don't; which makes it very realistic and doable. In addition, as someone who only ever did cardio at the gym, learning about strength training and proper form through Aspire has significantly improved my quality of life. The confidence and knowledge I've acquired since training with Aspire has been incredibly invaluable. I'm so glad I made the decision to work with such a friendly and supportive team. Where can I start? Phil, Johann, and the whole team at Aspire Fitness helped me turn my life around and take back control of my health and fitness. I came in to see Phil the first time after struggling to lose weight for a few years. I would exercise every day and never see any progress. I felt at a loss, sadly accepting that I might never get back to the healthy and lean person I was before. Then on a whim I decided to meet with Phil and discuss a personal training plan. The rest was history. Phil provided me with not only phenomenal workouts that really helped me to build lean muscle, but he also gave me a personalized nutrition plan that was the key to finally losing weight. I was 175 lbs when I met Phil, and can happily say that I went down to 151 lbs while building a ton of lean muscle. I can't recommend Phil and the team at Aspire Fitness enough. Shoutout to Johann also for always inspiring me to train harder than the last time. Besides the amazing progress you will see while training here, you will also have a place to look forward to going every week. The team makes each training session a unique and fun experience. Here's how I lost 30 lbs and beat pre-diabetes with Aspire Fitness: I started my journey with the goal of losing weight and improving my health. Over the course of my training, I lost over 30 lbs and saw a significant decrease in my blood sugar levels. Initially, I was hesitant about the value of a personal trainer. Their equipment is also top-notch, especially the free weights--they use some of the best brands in the industry. Because of the high-end equipment, you'll notice that the membership fees are on the higher side. ​The Cons (Hygiene & Maintenance): Despite the nice gear, the facility is extremely dirty and feels like it's never been cleaned. The handles on the treadmills and ellipticals are often sticky, and there is a thick layer of dust underneath the machines. It's gross! If you've ever been to the Planet Fitness in Diamond Bar, you'll realize just how dirty Curl actually is. ​The most shocking thing I've witnessed is the cleaning process. The cleaning lady uses the same brush to scrub the inside of the toilet bowl and then the toilet seat. Seeing her scrub the bowl and then immediately wipe the seat with the same tool is horrifying! To be clear, she works very hard and I'm not blaming her personally--management simply hasn't provided her with the proper tools or training. Additionally, there is a light in the shower area that has been out forever and never gets repaired. ​Atmosphere & Service: Another bizarre thing is that they don't turn on the AC during the winter. It gets incredibly hot inside. Perhaps that's better for the elderly members, but it's uncomfortable for a real workout. Furthermore, the front desk staff is completely indifferent; when you walk in, they treat you like you're invisible. ​Bottom Line: I only kept this membership because my child has an enrichment class nearby, and it's a convenient place to wait. If my kid weren't taking classes in this area, I definitely wouldn't keep this membership.

At the time, I was going to the gym, following random workouts on social media, and eating to my hearts content. I had very little knowledge regarding training, body composition, and nutrition. After a few months of working with JP, I started to not only gain momentum with my training but also began to see drastic changes to my body. I was so convinced and confident of my progress that I decided to take it to the next level, and compete in NPC as a figure competitor. In April of 2017, I competed in my first NPC show and placed 1st in women's figure. JP's guidance helped me overcome some of my deepest insecurities. In addition to all the things a personal trainer is expected to teach you, weight training, cardio regimen, and nutrition. JP also indirectly helped me with my confidence, mental clarity, advanced methods to training and nutrition, how my body responds to different types of foods, and the list goes on. These photos speak for themselves. The success and results I achieved with the guidance of JP are beyond exceptional. Although these achievements are great, what I cherish the most is the knowledge I gained from working with JP. It is now 4 years later, and still sometimes I can hear his voice in my head during my own training sessions LOL. Thank you, JP. I am forever grateful.

I asked myself, "Self, is that what I want to be?" I decided to find a personal trainer, and I found JP. JP is very different than many other trainers that I talked to who try to say many good things about training and attempt to get you in. The first thing I was told is "It is going to be tough, and it is all about you. Are you sure you want to do this?" I knew I was at the right place the moment I heard this because JP does not sugarcoat the challenges that I will face to get my business but serious about training me and helping me to reach my goal. The journey is challenging but fun. JP is dedicated and knowledgeable. He always tries to push you to a limit while paying great attention to the form and your reaction to make sure you do not get hurt. Trough out the time that I train with him, my body does fill sore but not pain. He also designs the session to train different muscle groups in a different way and different date so the muscles have enough time to recover. Besides training knowledge, he is also a very positive person who always shows his passion for helping others to be better. To me, JP is more than just a trainer but friend. I am glad that I met him and will keep up my journey with him.

Finally, I realized F45 was the best for me because there's so much variety and constant movement, I don't have a chance to get bored! I only have one day per week I can consistently commit to exercise, and the program/equipment is different each time. Shout out to Vickey and Berry, who are very encouraging and energetic. But this is not a gym; it is a training facility where you work with trainers to tackle your physical goals. Next, this is about my trainer, Kevin Abandy. Kevin has been my trainer for exactly 8 weeks now and he is awesome! I made the decision to get a trainer after my birthday to truly invest in myself. You can invest in your own skills and education, but the return is almost always indirect. But with a trainer, specifically Kevin, I gained 8 lbs of muscle mass and lost 8% body fat (approx. 13-lbs of fat) after 8 weeks of training with him. Also, at the start of my training, I had back pain (from past injury to T12) and knee pains (from under the kneecap). Through Kevin's program and coaching, my pain has been reduced to near 0 with full mobility -- like squatting all the way down and up with 200-lbs of weight on my shoulders with no knee pain. I would give a 1-star review to keep it from getting crowded, but it would be hard for me to not tell others about the good that comes out of this place. My mom is 70 and she's training with Kevin too! And the story is the same for her... knee pains - GONE. Back pains - GONE. I've been working with Mia for almost 6 months now and have dropped about 5% in body fat and gained 7% in muscle mass. I would have never considered myself "overweight" but knew I needed to lose a few pounds. I've tried the traditional membership gyms but always found that I would lose interest or motivation. When I started inquiring about personal trainers, Mia was very prompt at answering. During our consultation I did a body fat scan and was shocked to find out that I was nearly 25%. We talked and I learned that it was less about the weight and more about body composition and fat/muscle percentages. Due to my work schedule we were able to meet twice a week for an hour a session. Mia adds good variety to our workouts and I definitively know that I push myself more during our sessions that I normally would have if I were doing the workouts by myself. She also places an emphasis on nutrition and offers advice on what to eat and what to stay away from. The last couple of years my diet has gotten progressively worse, and she's been a great help in getting me back on track.
