TLDR: I highly recommend any and all personal training with coach daniel as he is professional, personable, knowledgeable, and humble! 2 years ago, I was in pretty bad shape. I lived a sedentary lifestyle where I would be glued to a chair for 8 hours a day and stress eat due to responsibilities. I knew I wanted to workout, but didn't have the time nor energy to build out a workout routine, meal plan, and even keep myself accountable to just go...until I met coach daniel. After days of research and personal consultations with multiple trainers, I chose Daniel. His energy is infectious and most importantly, he is understanding of what goals you are trying to achieve. At first I wanted to to build strength, but later on I switched to running. His knowledge and versatility of how to pivot programs is mind blowing. I grew up in Diamond Bar and I've tried all the big and small bouquet gyms around Diamond Bar and Walnut (I don't want to name names but if you are from here, you would know which ones I'm talking about). Then I found fitness 100. Fitness 100 is a gym that has a nice environment and nice people inside. If you're just getting started to fitness and worries about ego at the gym, Fitness 100 will make you feel right at home and non of that ego and face things exist here. I started at 29.7 percent body fat and obese to now. Feels very comfortable here focusing on my own training with my trainer. There's about 7 regular trainers that trains clients here. EVERYONE of them and I mean EVERYONE is really nice and friendly. There's also a Zumba and yoga room in the back of the gym that can let clients stretch, and do other activity a besides weight lifting. And last things, the owner Steve. He's the icing on top man! Well...despite of all good reviews here, my experience was quite different, 2 words to conclude- RIDICULOUSLY TERRIBLE! Be Alert of this place, I've lived 5 states in 6 years in the US, and they have the worst attitude I've ever experienced. P.S. since I dine out every day and always try new places in various categories, usually I only leave reviews when I'm really offended - feel it's really necessary for potential clients to know. Before I shared my experience, just want to mention that 1. this place is really small, but it is clean 2. limited fitness machines, some are old 3. good for training sessions rather than regular self-cardio I bought 4 x 45 mins personal training sessions and got trained with a female trainer: 1st Session: I even felt lucky that she spoke some Mandarin which is my mother language as I was a bit concerned that I wouldn't understand some training terms. Firstly, she consulted me, then for the rest of the session, she trained me fine. When I doubted whether she could trained for full session which is 45 mins for the following sessions, she explained that the session began from the moment I stepped in the gym. It's OK with me. 2nd Session: I was late for 4 MINS due to traffic. "You are late!!!" The trainer showed the whites of her eyes when she saw me in, and it's just the BEGINNING! She never smiled nor talked to me for the whole session besides giving directions to train me, and she emphasized "I really don't like people late！That means you are not serious！" Even I apologized for at least 5 times！She trained me until I felt physically nauseous, dizzy, and had to LIE DOWN for mins - I don't want to say she did this on purpose out of some bad emotion but I do cardio myself 3 times a week. While I almost passed out, she talked very loudly to me and to OTHERS in the gym multiple times in a disappointing tone: "You are so OUT OF SHAPE!" "SHE IS SO OUT OF SHAPE!" 3rd Session: I was ON TIME, but she still, no smile, no talk, just giving directions for training purposes. When I didn't make the move right AT MY FIRST TRY, she complaint impatiently: "Why you didn't pay attention when I demonstrated?!" "Don't you understand Chinese?!" Is this attitude appropriate as a professional trainer? At the end of the session, naturally I was trying to make appointment for the last session, again she rolled her eyes on me as she had been doing throughout session 2 & 3 & 4: "I can't decide now, I have MANY other clients, NOT JUST YOU. You go wait." I texted her few days later with this sentence "I'm trying to finish the last session this month since my job starts next month. Thanks" And here is the sentence she replied: "Sorry we all have WORK to do!!!! You just wait patiently till Sat." Is the "!!!!" really necessary ?!?!?! WTF 4th Session: Of course she didn't contact me on Sat as she promised, so I contacted her on Sun and finally booked my 4th session. I was ON TIME as well for this session. For her, again, POKER FACE throughout the session. 10+10 mins cardio at beginning and end of the session as usual for the 45 mins session. She was chatting with people, looking at the computer and her cellphone, even WENT OUT TO CHAT with someone. When I felt hot while working out and was trying to ask her to turn on the AC, here was what she replied: "IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE HOT, YOU NEVER WORK-OUT?!" During the session, she asked: "This is the last one, right?" then applauded in a way showing that "Yeah, finally I can get rid of you". Also when I couldn't get one move right this time, she REPEATED: "YOU ARE SO WEIRD, MAN~" Use your own judgement whether this sounds OK. She called a break and talked to me in a harsh tone in public: "You know I really don't like people late！Were you late for your 1st class?! Were you late for your interviews?!" I sighed: "I apologized multiple times, and I was ONLY LATE for ONE session." She became angry again: "Why didn't you text?! You don't value my time!" I shut up to avoid further argument- 4 mins before the appointment time, obviously I won't choose DRIVING while TEXTING. Unbelievable! At the end of the session, she didn't even say "Bye", coming back from outside (chatting with a lady) and asked me on the cardio machine with this sentence: "Is it 10 mins yet OR YOU ARE NOT EVEN LOOKING?! (showed the whites of her eyes again)" while I answered promptly" it's 12 mins." Then split the last word she ever said to me: "Ok, that's it." Mine was: "Thanks, Bye." Of course, she has every right to regard herself as a high-born person or something, and certainly she is entitled to choose any attitude she wants towards clients. However in this Age, many clients are lost to competitors due to your lack of profession & customer service basics. ----------------------------AFTER THE REAL OWNER CONTACTED ME-------------------------------- Accepted the offer to redo all sessions, the trainer who trained me is a liar to all and is fired. I love this place! Everyone here is so friendly and the owner goes out of his way to make sure the environment is clean and is always so accommodating. Had my first session with the trainer named Julian, and I got to say it's was one of the more intensive work outs I've had in while (given that I haven't worked out in a while). He was very professional and walked me through everything before I started lifting. He was also very meticulous on everything and make sure my form and posture was correct before I started any of my reps. The gym itself is small but spacious enough for me to do my work outs. On top of that it isn't too crowded so the equipments are all ready to go when you need them. If you ever considering having a personal trainer and a good workout environment I would recommend this gym, and when you do join make sure to ask for Julian as your trainer, he will push you to get the result that you want for sure! read more

I'd go to 24 hour fitness maybe 3-4 times a week, run outside, etc. But I wanted to try something different. Push myself. I love this gym and all, but I can't thank my trainer Johanna Hall enough, for helping me reach my fitness goals. Her extensive knowledge in fitness and nutrition shows in her training. (She's too humble to say this, but she won countless bikini competitions, too! My God! So she knows what she's doing.) I bought a 35-session pack at this gym. I just finished up my 6th training session today, and I am feeling great and full of energy! I mean, granted, I wanted to die during the hour I was there, but that's what we pay for. If you don't hate your trainer just a little bit, then they're not doing their job. I like her more than I hate her, so that's good. ;) I chose Johanna as my trainer because she's also a PA, so I trusted her a bit more to know how to deal with some of my issues regarding my knees and wrist pain. After every new workout, she makes sure to ask how I'm feeling to determine whether or not I need to modify anything, and if you really show that you physically cannot go any further, she will try to get one or two more out of you, but she won't push you TOO hard or make you feel bad about it. That's why I've gotten really good at pretending I can't go on, so I can get more breaks. (Just kidding, Johanna!) I've never had a personal trainer before, because I've always been the type to think "Ah I can just do it myself!" ... but then I don't. Having a trainer really helps motivate you because you see the money flying away from your wallet. Oh, and, of course, the whole accountability thing...but mainly the money thing. When you're like, "Oh my god I could've bought like 10 boba drinks with this session," then you will work your ass off to make the most out of it. I already feel improvements on my form for all the exercises, so I know it works. Thanks, Johanna! Can't wait to see how I look and feel like on my 35th session! I've been coming here for personal training after done with 24 hour fitness due to the distance to my work. This is a private gym but they got every workout equipment you need include a dance studio! Everything is super clean and neat and most importantly, you won't have to share equipment with a lot of people and touch their sweat! Staff here are also super friendly and nice. I've been doing personal training with Johanna for couple sessions and she is super knowledgeable about fitness. I mentioned to her in the beginning that I am pretty slow in terms of learning new workout forms so I hope she could be patient. Ever since we started our session, she always demonstrates new workout forms by working out with me together for couple sets until I am used to the set which was super duper helpful! Don't be fool by her super bright smile, she is also super strict and professional about training! Found this place via Yelp over the summer :) I had just moved back to the area and wanted to shed some weight gained throughout grad school. I was extremely out of shape and was only familiar with using cardio machines. Aside from the weight loss, I wanted to incorporate strength training and tone up. When I first walked in, I was immediately greeted by the friendly owner Steve, who then put me in contact with the manager Johanna. After meeting with her to discuss my fitness goals, I immediately signed on to train with her. I felt at ease with her and knew that I was in good hands with a trainer who has many years of experience, and not to mention is also a physician assistant. She started with teaching me about basic strength exercises, then would focus a session on upper body or lower body along with incorporation of some cardio/plyometrics. With each session, she switched things up and utilized a variety of machines and weight equipment. She also provided me with specific meal plans, emphasizing the importance of macronutrients (protein-carb-fat ratios). Over the course of 3 months, I gradually lost 10 pounds and am continuing to lose more. More importantly, I feel stronger, have developed healthier habits, and no longer feel so clueless in the gym. Overall, this gym is well maintained and has a pleasant atmosphere. It was encouraging to see other motivated clients working with trainers who were greatly invested in their success.
