I can honestly say that Planet Fitness is the cleanest gym with the best service of any I've been to in this area. Did you know they actually lift up the treadmills and other machines every month just to clean underneath them? They use foam cleaner on all the equipment every single day, and the restrooms are guaranteed to be scrubbed with disinfectant first thing every morning. They even use high-pressure power washers to clean the showers! ​I can say with full confidence that it's as clean as my own home. Even the massage chairs sometimes carry the fresh scent of cleaning solution. As for the staff, they are incredible--always greeting you warmly. You can tell the employees have a great relationship and truly treat the place like home; some have even worked there for years. ​There's absolutely nothing to complain about. Even the members there are high-quality and make sure to wipe down their machines after use. I also have a membership at Curl Fitness--and while their facility is newer, their equipment is filthy and covered in dust; some machines even feel sticky to the touch. I went to work out today. It's hot. I went to front desk and reported warm and they said they could not adjust the temperature.

I would not recommend this Planet Fitness location. When I signed up, I clearly told staff that I only needed the membership for one month because I would be leaving the following month. I only ended up using the gym for about half a month and canceled before the end of my first month. Even so, I was charged a $49 annual fee. I contacted the gym and explained the situation, but they refused to refund the charge. This felt misleading. If a customer clearly says they only need one month, staff should fully explain any annual fee, cancellation deadline, and automatic billing terms before enrolling them. That did not happen in my case. Please be very careful before signing up here. read more

My review doesn't really apply directly to Planet Fitness but to Matrix Equipment often found within its various locations. Their newest seated aerobic equipment has pedals that do not accommodate my size 12 tennis shoes. Granted, there are much larger tennis shoes worn in a gym. I'm going to 'cut through the mustard'. How can a 'company' such as Matrix apparently not do sufficient quality control? Even when the strap is set to its widest position, I cannot insert my tennis shoes far enough to provide comfort in pedaling so, I can't use this equipment. How could anything this basic sneak pass Matrix? Check out my attached photos. I should add that I really like Planet Fitness and have gone to their locations in Puerto Rico, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota and various locations in California. My complaint with many of the gyms is that overhead music is excessively loud. The facilities are clean and most front desk people except those I encountered in Lafayette, Louisiana are friendly and professional. So, in summary, I've been to around 12 different locations, and 10 were very positive. Positive ones includes the location on Philadelphia in Chino, the Diamond Bar location, the location on Vineyard in Ontario, the one in Corona off of El Cerrito, the one on Foothill near Upland, Baseline in Rancho, the one in Covina, the one off Rancho Rd in Pomona and every other place in California, one in Lexington, KY, one in Lake Charles, Louisiana, etc. The facility in Lafayette, Louisiana (4 years ago) had the worse and most rude front desk idiots. They would not speak and most pretended to be busy all of a sudden when I would walk in. They had a young female manager who was courteous but most of the other front desk people were worthless. read more

I'm glad that Planet Fitness has opened up in Diamond Bar, it is in the same plaza as Starbucks, Hmart, and also a few other food restaurants around the area. This place has plenty of parking and also since it is new all the machines are also new. All of the workers here are super friendly and very chill! If you get to know them it makes you also want to come in daily to check up on them as well! It feels like a community here and everyone overall is nice and you also get to stay healthy during the holidays. I've been a member now for 7 months and I honestly love coming here. read more

There are people that walk in and just use the facility without scanning their membership. The staff don't even check. One lady always does her walks outside of the gym then ask the staff to use the bathroom and tells them that she needs to use the massage chair or hydro massage. I asked the staff and he says she has a phone number that she's a member in which she could be using someone else's number . Have everybody scan in when walking in. It's there for a reason. First of all, this gym is clean. The staff keeps it clean, and the members wipe down after themselves. Love the clean culture here! I have not been here during the crowded times, but from what I've seen in the morning, this location does not get too busy. First of all, there is decent parking in this shopping center. I say this because one other gym option in Diamond Bar is Crunch, and there is absolutely no parking. PF doesn't have a pool or spa but, the open space, separate theme workout rooms, massage rooms, and cleanliness are such a plus. If you are looking for a gym, consider PF in DB. This review is not for the facility itself which is actually quite nice and clean. I joined the gym in June because my wife wanted me to accompany her even though I would much rather be a couch potato. I let her win that fight since it was only $10 a month. We noticed we were being charged $20 extra each transaction on our credit card statement so we went in today to figure out what was going on. They said the $20 was a late fee because they couldn't charge it to the checking account. Yet it was charging the checking account just fine for my wife's membership. The last four digits of the account number matches and the routing number was correct. Since we can't see the full checking account number, we asked if they can tell us what they have on file so we can validate whether it's really incorrect. They said they can only see the last four digits as well. So basically there's no way for us to confirm. We received no emails regarding the account being incorrect and would've never known had we not checked our credit card statements. We also received no emails with billing invoices. Interesting that the late fee is twice the membership fee. Essentially robbed of $60 in silent "late fees" within two months of membership. Cancelled my membership immediately because I would rather be fat than be swindled. Should've stayed a couch potato. read more

*GYM QUALITY* This is hands-down the cleanest, best gym experience I have ever had when it comes to budget gym memberships. This particular location is very new and you can tell by the equipment that they have here. The locker/shower rooms actually INVITE you to take a shower and use its facilities - it is so spanking clean! The machines function well and is the standard set of planet fitness equipment. The only machine I noticed they don't have is a smith machine that has a slant instead of straight vertical. Wifi works well - I like to watch YouTube videos while doing cardio and it keeps up! *CUSTOMER SERVICE* Most of the workers here are quite young, with a few older folk. They are all extremely friendly, attentive, and welcoming upon arriving and leaving the facility! I once had a problem with my credit card and account, but one of the managers quickly helped me resolve the issue and personally made sure I was satisfied with my experience at planet! You can see the workers also regularly tend to, sanitize, and maintain the equipment here which is awesome. *AMBIANCE* Parking is abundant as the plaza it is located in has several surrounding stores which lends to a big parking lot. Try not to park directly in front as those are 15 minute spots! I love the layout of this location - it is spacious and there is enough walking room everywhere without feeling claustrophobic. There also isn't any TV mounted other than the screens attached to the stair stepper, elliptical, and bicycles or in the premium spa area - I personally prefer this as it adds to the open feeling of the gym (since there aren't any major things hanging down from the ceiling). I really enjoy this planet fitness and almost contemplated not posting a review on it because I want to gate-keep, that's how pleasant I find this location! There is never really a wait at all when it comes to using any of the machines, which is another reason I love this location. I've been coming here for almost a year now. I enjoy the cleanliness and how it never gets too busy. I feel comfortable coming in at anytime. There is space for me to stretch and do my own workout if I want. The women's bathroom can smell funky sometimes I'm not sure why. I like the design and use of space here better than most of the other locations I've frequented. I don't normally have to wait to use any of the machines in my rotation and if I do it's very minimal. Joined Planet Fitness late last year, while our other gym went through an ownership change and remodel. Today we are full-time at Planet Fitness. More machines for every part of the body, plus nearly two of everything, so waiting is non-existent. The number one reason, we are satisfied members at PF, Reggie! I don't live in this area, but I've been to this facility to use their equipment the past couple years whenever I visit my parents. The staff are friendly, understanding and diligent. I've explained my situation of wanting to borrow their facilities for a few weeks on the black card and each time they have been accommodating to the usage and when I need to cancel the membership before I leave the state. The staff are very diligent in keeping the entire gym and equipment clean. I've consistently seen them wiping and cleaning equipment and areas to keep the place pristine. The gym culture here is respectful. Everyone is doing their own thing. Sure there are students that hang in small groups socializing and exercising but they never occupy an equipment for long periods of time. Majority diligently wipe after using the equipment or put back weights and bars kindly. If I lived in this area, this PF I would go to all the time. Parking in front of PF can get packed but the parking lot area is large. I usually park a little farther and just walk over. read more

We have been coming to this planet fitness for a year now. It's really clean and well organized. It's a bit smaller than some other planet fitnesses but still provide a variety of machines! One thing that we notice often is that the music volume is not loud enough. At least for us. Sometimes we hear a banger come on and it's pretty low like we hear the machines more than the music haha. But hopefully they can turn it up just a bit more to keep our pump on! I would recommend this planet fitness to others as well. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I was a member for 2 months. Went to the gym 1 time in that 2 months. I was overcharged a total of 40$. Due to the app not properly working something with the billing system was not properly working as my payment was being taken out the very next day and I was being charged a 20$ late fee when it was the same exact account. I called and spoke to a gentleman who was helpful and stated he would refund me one late fee as he understood the concern and stated the app can do that sometimes. Then the general manager got on the phone and she was RUDE and kept talking over me. I barely could explain to her what was going on. Any time I did speak she had a smart A** response. Instead of the GENERAL manager assisting me and helping me figure out what was going on and why I was being over charged she suggested if I was not pleased that I can cancel my membership with no fee and encouraged me to come in and do so. Instead of helping me and reimbursing me the 40$ she'd rather lose a member. So I went in and canceled if I was not going to be reimbursed as it was not fair to me as a customer / member. I was honestly shocked about her suggestion. Since I had just switched from 24hour fitness and I never ever experienced this before. She could not confirm exactly what my billing issue was since it was coming out of the same exact account the next day(weird). She did not want to help me or keep me as a customer / member. I was given another managers number Maritza. I contacted Maritza the operations director multiple times with no response. Poor customer service. I have never ever experienced such horrible and rude service from a gym. Back to 24 hour fitness I will go even if I have to drive a few extra miles. So disappointing. I've been a PF member for several years and used to frequent this gym until they added scented "air fresheners" all over the place. Perfumes/smells/even certain foods are enough to make any serious gym user nauseous during their workout. Do you want to be sniffing vanilla when your heart is pumping, you're sweating buckets, and trying to get through your sets? NO because fragrances are a matter of personal preference and what one person enjoys may make another person SICK. It's a disappointment that they've ruined the ambiance. This gym was never crowded nor did it ever smell foul because it was regularly cleaned and relatively new. The new management is trash - I've moved my membership elsewhere because I will not exercise in a heavily perfumed chemical filled environment. read more

New gym in the neighborhood. Everything is brand new. Very clean and they have so many machines! Staff is always cleaning restrooms and machines. You never have to wait for a machine to open up. I usually like this location. It's clean, not packed. The reason why I'm getting them 1-star is because they don't care to get their equipment fixed. One of the seated leg curl machines needs to be serviced. The leg rest is loose and should not be moving while I'm doing my reps. I brought this up to the staff on 2 separate occasions and they still have not had it serviced. The leg rest moved up in the middle of my set and the handle bars almost hit me in the face. read more
