    Broken mirror
    Hamed F.

Facts: - Pick-up date: 11/27/2021 from Utah - Delivery date: 1/18/2022 to Florida. Received 1 hour instead of 24 hour notice - Time in transit: 34 business days excluding holidays and weekends - Highschool kids hired as professional movers on the delivery: Male 17 years old, male 19, female 18. They had no experience, did not have a tool box, and smelled like marijuana. - Multiple broken and missing items such as $850 broken vintage mirror, $1500 shattered vanity, $3000 dining room table scratched and dented and so on. Missing $1000 patio furniture. Absolutely avoid this company if you are moving from one state to another state. It took them 34 business days to deliver our furniture. Compass sub-contracted the move to a carrier, Seven Stars Movers DOT 3268092, to pick-up our furniture on 11/27/2021. I have called and emailed this carrier more than 25 times but no one takes responsibility regarding unjustified delays and mishandling of our furniture. Brandon Ageloff, CEO of Compass Moving Group, is not professional and he has not taken any responsibility for not honoring their contractual obligations. He hung up the phone on me on 1/18/2022 stating "I wanted to give you $400 but now I am not going to give you anything". He retaliated against me since I filed a complaint with FMCSA and contacted the Better Business Bureau regarding his Company's sub-standard service and negligence which have caused my family so much emotional anguish and loss of thousands of dollars. I would highly recommend not to do business with Compass Moving Group because you will regret it. Imagine living with your family in a house without any furniture for 34 business days or 51 days. Does that make your life hell? if the answer is yes, then move on and find an ethical and respectable broker who might deserve your business and hard-earned money. Contact me at hamed.feddin@gmail.com if you were the victim of Compass Moving Group deceiving and sub-standard services. Join our lawsuit and hold Compass Moving Group and the CEO, Brandon Ageloff, accountable.

Denis of Dixie Movers did a painless FaceTime call with us to provide a quote. We also had a spread sheet with our items being moved that was used to provide an accurate & fair quote. When we had questions leading up to moving day, their administrator Brana was quick and kind with her responses. On the day of moving us out Denis stayed in touch about their arrival time. Thankfully traffic helped us out (although I know it must have been difficult for Denis and his colleague Marat). We thought we were so ready to move and found out the morning of that I had missed several kitchen drawers and cabinets during a recent illness. Denis was so kind and patient, providing us with extra boxes and wrapping paper to keep our valuables safe during transit. He and Marat took such great care of every piece of furniture, every moving box and bag, and when he adjusted the invoice with all of our last minute add-ons he was very fair. The move in to our new apartment home was just as seamless and filled with patience, kindness, and very hard work by Marat. We are forever grateful for this Dixie Movers LLC family. Thank you.

I would give 0 stars if that was an option. My moving experience was absolutely horrible. First of…read moreall, I did not realize that Verified Moving Pros is a broker and NOT an actual moving company. That is on me - but I will NEVER do business with a moving broker ever again. During my initial phone call, I went through everything that I had to move. I'm fairly certain that I was very thorough as I had a list from a local move that I had made a few months prior. The price was within my budget, which was a great relief to me. They said they would call a couple days before my move to verify everything and make sure it was good to go. A quality assurance call they called it. During the quality assurance call - I went over my list of items. THE SAME LIST I had used on the previous phone call. But somehow, a bunch of stuff was missing. So then, my price DOUBLED. I was very upset by this - the guy was able to bring my quote down some, but it was still way more than I was intitally quoted. However, what was I supposed to do? My move was happening within a week and there's no way I could secure another moving company before I had to be out of my apartment. So then, the moving guy shows up. First of all, he shows up with a rented Enterprise truck, which gave me a bad feeling right off the bat. It was just him alone, he had brought another guy that he found - I don't know where, to help. The moving guy was extremely unprofessional. He blasted loud music with profanities while he was loading. He did NOT wrap any of my furniture, he did NOT use the TV boxes that I had bought. He did NOT bring the mattress covers I had asked for. The worst part was that he did not have enough room for my stuff in the truck. So then, in adiditon to the move costing me almost double what I was originally planning, I then had to make a trip back (thankfully only 3 hours) with another moving truck myself and get the rest of my stuff incuring more moving costs. During unloading, he did not put my stuff in the correct rooms or assmble any furniture. When he left, I was left with a pile of boxes in a room I could barely walk in, furniture completely unusable because it was facing the wall (dresser drawers facing the wall) or not reassembled. He also charged me an extra $75 for going down 6 steps because he claimed that only one set of stairs during the whole move was included. When I talked to the gentleman at Verified Moving Pros he said that one flight of stairs was included at both the pick up location and the drop off location. When I asked to see the contract, it was worded in such a way that it was not specific enough to clairfy about the stairs. If you're wondering, yes some of my furnture was damaged slightly in the move. So, my advice, don't use a broker when moving. Choose an actual moving company so you know what you're getting. *my move was in June of 2022
