Horrible!!!! The worst. They give you one price then want to charge you more after they load the truck. They are not sensitive with your furniture. They seem to hire anyone from the streets just to do a move. They are not professional movers do not be fooled. If I wasn't in a rush to move I would had cancelled. I paid 2k for a bed that now is ruined with scratches. I paid $500 for a night stand that they ruined with scratches. They left my glass table by the elevator. Then had the audacity to ask for a tip. They were suppose to arrive at 8am and didn't show up until 10. I would never recommend anyone to use this company!!!! Affordable Flat Rate Mover defrauded me and my family. They broke, stole, and misplaced many items, and did not complete the move. I had to hire reputable movers after they left to finish the move. Some of the actions they took were simply in bad faith, others were done with malicious intent. They are entirely disreputable and not to be trusted. Communication started off well , Sent pictures of items that needed to be moved Jacuzzi,grill and a mobile fire place .The measurements of jacuzzi ,area,gate widths and address 13 miles away . Was told it would be a flat rate of $600 ,message below. Then pick up day comes ,the agreed time was 10am. They didn't show up until 1:30 pm ,excuse was last job ran late due to elevator issues.meanwhile they b.s.tgat they would be there soon,hour passes and we call and they still had not finished the prior job.Why not be straight up on what's happening ? Once they finally arrive they don't apologize until approached . Suddenly the price changes because the tub was heavy ,well did they think it was a blow up hot tub? I sent sizes and anyone with common sense knows they are not light .They said it was hard to transport because of the grass ,really I sent pictures of area .They jacked up the price from $600 to $850. I wanted to cancel the entire job but my girlfriend was in a strict timetable since she just sold the house and new owners wanted items removed .oh then they had the balls to ask for tip after being 5hrs late ,wtf! Don't ever use them ,very inconsiderate and obviously they do honor their word . Oh and they dropped the grill in middle of yard and other items in front of garage after i specifically sent pictures of where to drop grill . I had the worst experience with this company. And after reading the below comments I'm finding it was either the same day or just excuses as they were late the first second and third day. The first day they were on there way at 2pm to not show up until 7, my storage unit closed at 9 so it was a rush to get it loaded and transported literally 20 minutes away. They scratched dented and ruined so much of my belongings. The second day they were supposed to be at the house by 3 and because of an elevator issue at the prior job they weren't there until 9 at night. I had to plead with the gate to allow access because no large trucks past 8 in our old development. We got a portion of things loaded and moved to the home not yet finished because the storage unit once again is closed at 9. The owner hinted to me that his guys wanted to know about tips which was rude and unprofessional. I also had to move my sick mother in law with us the second day where it took time to get her setup in the new home. Because I hadn't paid him that days pay yet he sent his guys back like goons to collect at midnight when I paid them in full because I had one more day of moving the next morning at 8. Again I was promised 8am as I had a 5pm deadline to be out of the house. They show up at 1130 short men and exhausted. They scratched almost every table along with putting my safe that's 3000lbs upside down in the new home. They broke the legs off solid wood armoires. They shattered countless frames and broke tv screens. The one other mover walked off the job midway through the day. I ultimately ended up not being out either all my belongings on time and lost more than 20,000 in possessions I can not retrieve because of contract and my 10,000 escrow has been up In the air as well. This company is a nightmare and con artists. After they unloaded on the last night at 1130 the other mover picked up a homeless guy to help him empty the truck as the other guy left no one came to help when needed. I told him to readjust his bill not only was it more than discussed it was not deserved after the kids of money and damage that was done to my things brought and forever gone. If I could give no stars or negative stars I would. Don't do what I did and hire them. The owner is out for himself even wanting me to pay for work the day before they even started. I had one guy here at the end of the last move that the owner made stay here holding my belongings ransom till the bill was settled. Ultimately he took a little off one bill but after truly going through every thing so so many things scratched , broken , shattered. Left a message to have the furniture fixed or compensated. I mean I have a safe upside down i I need to hire someone to now flip up the right way my safe as again they moved it in upside down and I still have not yet opened or been able to access what is broken inside that. Hired to do a local move (1 mile) in Pompano Beach. Movers showed up at 1040, so we started late and our condo building has an elevator reservation block 900-1230, so that caused problems when we ran into the afternoon with the loading process. Didn't arrive at the dropoff until 4pm, again our loading dock closes at 430pm, so this was also a problem, but I had to beg the building manager to let us finish, which we didn't until after 630pm. $575 estimated cost of damaged/lost items. One lamp disappeared (?), another had the shade destroyed, and a desk/shelf unit wasn't wrapped and was left with several deep gouges across the top and sides. Owner initially said "No problem, send me links to items and I'll submit them to insurance." Every couple weeks I'd check in and he'd say he's working on it. This has to be one of THE WORST movers in the state of Florida!!! It all started off well great customer service from the owner. He came out to my place evaluate what all needed to be moved and he gave me a quote. I contacted several companies and he quoted me the least so I went with him. Showed up with 3 guys to move my 2 BR 2 Bath townhome like apartment. He had to repeatedly keep telling his guys to stop dragging my stuff down the stairs and to take better care of my things. I didn't make anything of it because they seemed pretty cool. They worked hard to get my stuff loaded in the truck so I was appreciative until.... Everything got moved into my new place. Before the guys finished unloading everything the owner texted stating that he has to charge me more because it was more work than he expected and also told me I need to tip the guys on top of what I paid which ended up totaling what I would've paid for a MORE PROFESSIONAL MORE PROPERLY TRAINED moving company. I said nothing and I just paid. I noticed a tear in the arm of my couch and pointed it out to him. He sent me a screenshot of some glue that he recommended ME to buy for ME to fix it. When they left I noticed more damage to other pieces of furniture, they helped themselves to my sodas and waters without asking, took like 4 rolls of paper towels, and my kitchen shears from my expensive knife set grew legs and walked off too. I called him and told him this which at first he said he would Zelle me back some money to reimburse me which I never got. And when I mentioned it to him again he try to make it seem like I was being petty to complain about soda and water when it was more than just that it was my damaged couch as well which mind you I've had for 1 year and sat on it maybe less than 10 times. Days gone by and I'm getting my new place together and noticed more scuffs and rips to my couch. I texted him and sent pics and his response was "That was there already" I told him that the couch was brand new delivered out the plastic and never moved from the spot the delivery men placed it in. I proceeded to send pics of all the damages to my other pieces of furniture since he was being so not caring of the couch I started pointing out everything I mean EVERYTHING that I noticed that I wasn't going to make a big deal about. Of course he stopped responding. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! These guys are the best. I had a big problem and needed to move a heavy couch asap. They answered my message and showed up to my location in less than an hour on a Sunday evening. Showed up an hour late, all the guys reeked of pot and the way they wrap furniture was a joke! Also realized when I unpacked, one container with a Chanel jacket and Burberry coat was missing! not professional and certainly not trained in how to move properly. I asked a few times to have a delicate piece wrapped as I use to own two furniture stores for 18 yrs and was told "no". I found out 7 days before my lease ended that I needed to find a new place to live. God was merciful and within two days I found a place, started the application, signed my lease, and began packing. I work long hours including some weekends so the only day I could move was Saturday. I knew it was cutting it close but I found affordable movers on yelp and they offered me a flat rate for a move that required moving some of my landlord's heavy furniture once we got to the house. Affordable rate movers moved my heavy furniture and my landlord's and was careful with my fragile items. All for a price that left room for the generous tip that they truly deserved! An hour before the start of the move I was notified that one of their fleet of trucks had a flat tire. They even sent me photos to confirm the issue. They communicated throughout the whole process and eventhough we were a bit delayed I was able to maintain my schedule because they kept me in the loop the entire time. read more

While they showed up late, it is not uncommon when there is a move ahead of your scheduled time. When they did show up, all three movers were very professional, making sure to photograph and point out any existing damage to furniture. Everything was protected properly. Movers worked expediently. Only issue is the truck leaked oil on the driveway. Still I would highly recommend AFRM. They beat competitors price by half and scheduled our move two days after the initial inquiry. Confirmation proposal was slow coming but did arrive the afternoon before the move. Again bear in mind the move was very short notice and these guys are small busy. Rate is presently $90/hour with a 3 hour minimum plus & $90 travel fee. There is a $70 fee if you request a certificate of insurance. Again, movers were professional, hard working and very polite. Got our local move, East Boynton to Delray, done in contracted 3 hours. read more
