I stumbled upon Asrai Garden when I attended an event at the Ace Hotel. At first I thought it was a new floral shop in town, but after talking to the staff I learned this was Asrai's newest location. I used to visit the one in Wicker Park so I was thrilled to see they have a location also in the West Loop which is easier for me to get to. This new location is a huge improvement aesthetically compared to the one in Wicker Park. This location is definitely more spacious and seems to offer a wider variety of things from eclectic jewelry to incense. The floral part though may be the bread and butter of this place. I love how they have the flowers on display, making it accessible and easy to choose your own arrangement. read more

asrai garden is a gorgeous shop. it's definitely worth a visit if you want to buy something special. wether it's flowers, jewelry, home decor and more. i was visiting chicago and made an initial visit on sunday to see what they had. i was bummed to learn they are closed on mondays and tuesdays, so i couldn't buy anything during my visit. luckily, they do have an online store, so i was able to make my purchase there. read more

I randomly walked into this amazing flower/candle/incense/perfume/jewelry shop while exploring the Fulton market neighborhood. You can enter it either from Morgan directly or thru the City Mouse restaurant/Ace hotel. The shop has an abundance of flowers all beautifully displayed on a large table. I didn't buy any, but I'm sure these guys can put together some awesome floral arrangements (it kind of looked like they had a space in the back where they do that). In addition, if you're looking for a special present, or a very specific perfume or incense they carry, this place can't be beat. It's filled with (expensive) little luxuries that are of questionable necessity, but absolutely desired! I've never seen most of the brands they carry anywhere else in the city. The highlight for me was just the space itself. Whoever designed/decorated it is a genius! I just want to move in. Compared to their shop on North Ave, this is one significantly larger, and is more "shoppy" (more displays of stuff they sell), a bit less "dark magic" (I kinda get that vibe from the North Ave location due to the crystals, bejeweled insect exoskeletons, and little animal bones they seem to have there). Anyways, grab a coffee at Stomptown next door and peruse the multitude of offerings at Asrai Garden - 100% worth your time!! My normal flower place was closed so I did a quick search for flower stores near me and found this one a block from where I was. Asked them to create a bouquet for my mother-in-law with pinks, whites and purples for $80 that would be on the grander scale. Brought my own vase and figured they would at least fill up the vase with flowers, as other flower stores usually do. Instead, I got a bunch of flowers haphazardly thrown into my vase with carnations, daisies, and a bunch of sprigs that may or may not bloom in the next couple days. What a disappointing experience and a sad bouquet. I had to run to Jewel to get some filler so that at least the flowers would fill up the regular size vase. I will definitely not be coming here again and hope that my regular flower shop (Steve's Flower Market) re-opens soon!! read more

Very nice store with a great selection of candles, fragrances, and skin care items. They have items at a variety of price points which is appreciated. This is great store to get a quick gift for someone or pick up a product that you have used previously. Unfortunately, they do not offer returns on almost all items in their store. As stated on my receipt, they don't accept returns on all "plants, candles, and apothecary" items. Additionally, everything else is only good for store credit. This is not clear when you are at the store, so be aware. I did not know until I came in to make a return and they wouldn't help me with it. Overall, a nice store, but the return policy is pretty atypical in todays world. Most of their products could be bought elsewhere and returned as long as they were in unused condition. I would recommend this store either change their policy or be more flexible when a customer comes in with something unopened and unused. read more

If you are a POC looking for a spiritual shop, this ain't it. The few Spirtual items that are available are overpriced af saw a candles holder for $470. If you want decorations and have a large disposable income to waste then this place is perfect. Beautiful! Such an easy transaction. Professionally delivered. I wanted to start there but now I want to elaborate. How often do we blindly choose a business such as a florist not really ever knowing if what we ordered was what was delivered? We cross our fingers and hope for the best. Personally, in the past when I have used florist.com or 1800 flowers- I have been extremely disappointed. I do not live in Chicago but when Asrai was recommended by another local florist- I took my chances. Have been here several times and my partner and I even bought my engagement ring here! Staff is lovely and not at all pushy, even when you're looking at or trying on expensive items.
