Had ordered flowers to my girlfriends apartment and they didn't bother calling her when they arrived (even though I left both our numbers on the details), they delivered it to another door in the same apartment and left it at that. When my girlfriend called them back up about it she stated "its not their responsibility". I am extremely disappointed with my entire experience! I ordered the premium offering of a red tulip arrangement for my Grandmother's 90th Birthday. I requested that they be delivered NO later than 11 am. I called the florist several times after 11 am to track down the flowers. I was told by a gentleman, the first time, that the driver had left them at the front desk of the hotel. I checked with the staff at the Marriott; they did not receive a flower delivery. The second call, a young woman answered and said that the owner was going to bring out the flowers to me. I called again, they said she was close by. 40 min later the flowers arrive. They are nothing like the picture. The flowers were NOT even in full bloom. I showed her the picture vs what she delivered. She said that she purposely picked these so we could enjoy them longer. Wth! I did not request that!!! I needed them for a party I was throwing today. I requested my money back. She said she'd compensate me 50% back once she got back to the office today. No refund came. I called and was hung up on when I questioned this further by a gentleman. I then called multiple times I man a row after. He picked up, listened then told me he knew knotting about this matter and that he'd have the owner call me. That did NOT happen either. ! I still cannot believe what happened today. Placed an order online for same day delivery, had specific instruction to have it delivered before 2pm, I placed the order in the morning and the distance between the store and delivery address is barely 3 miles. My recipient did not receive the delivery. I did not get any call or notification that it was not delivered or has a problem somewhere. I called this morning and I was told they delivered at 5pm and the delivery address was already closed. Of course it will be close. I have requested a before 2pm delivery. If they told me they can't meet my request, I would have canceled my order. Someone even called me for my credit card CVV, but did not say anything about having issue with delivery time. I don't recommend this place, very unreliable. read more

I went to blooming city flower with a tight budget for my wedding. Lee listened to me and gave me some really good advice about my centerpieces. I showed her some pictures and she nailed it. My centerpieces were way better than any of the pictures I shared with her. She transformed my simple hotel meeting room into this romantic ceremony venue. Everyone who had seen the venue before the floral decoration was amazed at how the venue looked. There were some last minute additions by me but Lee was very nice about it. I told her that I wanted a hydrangea centerpiece for my place card table. I have never seen a better arrangement of hydrangeas than what she had for me. Every single guest commented on the flower arrangements. My final price did go up than what I had budgeted but it was only because I added some last minute flower arrangements. It was still way below than what some of the other florist had quoted. Lee is very professional. She will hear you out and give her suggestions. And most of the time, she is right :). She saved me from some major expenses. I trusted her decisions. A florist phoned me to clarify my request (two pretty bouquets) and thirty minutes later (I'm not kidding!) there was a delivery person holding two gorgeous, tasteful bouquets at my door. I can not believe that I have lived 6 blocks away from this flower place and never noticed them until I searched for a flower place on my phone. I always hated buying flowers from Jewel Osco as its always a hit or miss. Some time you will find fresh flowers and most of the time, old stale flowers. I came to order a bouquet for my friend's graduation. I ordered a bouquet of red roses and was charged $50. When I came to pick it up, it was only three red roses!!! And two or three yellow flowers (not roses) and some tiny fillers plants. I was so upset because I didn't get what was promised and the bouquet was so small, not even pretty. I'm never coming back. They ripped me off. I had to go to Marianos afterward to get a bouquet of all red roses for half the price. There are probably not enough words to say how fabulous this florist is. We had a somewhat last minute wedding and we decided to pop into our local florist for help. We got married at the Hard Rock Hotel on Michigan Avenue and did not have the typical wedding. It was all music and rock themed. From the minute I spoke with Lee, she went along with some of my out of the box ideas and then some. I thought I knew exactly what I was getting but on my wedding day, we were blown away! Lee and her staff went well above and beyond what I could have ever hoped for! The ceremony and reception were breathtaking and romantic, but still had the edgy feel we wanted. I spent months trying to work with different florists with my tight budget, and Blooming City flowers was the only one willing to work with me and explained different ways we could save while still achieving what I was hoping for, I wasn't exactly sure what I was going to get until the day of.. all I had done was given my ideas, budget and the theme of my wedding.
