I ordered the supreme pizza, and it was lackluster to say the least. The crust was undercooked and soggy, the toppings didn't seem to be at all what we promised, missing sausage and pepperoni unless they were so tiny they were undetectable. The place was rundown and filthy. I don't know how this place passes health inspections. Sort of match the hygiene of the person who was working at the desk. He was also indifferent in his demeanor. And can you believe, when I handed over my credit card to pay for the order he actually had to type the number into a terminal. There was no "swipe" option. Flying in to Richmond past 11p and starving is not the most ideal ... especially due to the fact everything good to eat is closed! We were looking and looking and all the bars that were open did not seem to satisfy our wants. My parents and I are quite particular when it comes to food. We wandered into this pizza shop - it definitely did not have our familiar vibe we normally go searching for ... but the taste was spectacular! The crust was perfectly crispy yet no charred edges. And I am an amateur pizza chef at their finest so I definitely know my quality pizza traits. The people working there seemed to keep their kitchen quite clean and were all super friendly. This place is not somewhere to go if you want a real, quality pizza. This is for late at night when you're drunk, have no other options, or want something cheap. For that purpose the pizza was decent. The supreme was topped well and didn't have a cardboard crust. In my book that's a win for this place. If you want a gourmet experience don't go here, but with that being said I don't think that's what they are going for. read more

My husband paid twenty dollars for this joke of a meal and we gave the delivery person a two dollar tip. If people want to own a business that serves the public they need to honest and not rip customers off. Talk about cheap. Can the folks at Assantes spare their little teeny tiny pizza slices? From Steve: When I called Assantes back, it was explained to me, that the twenty dollars I spent was for a medium sized pizza. The larger pizza would be twenty five dollars plus tax. And it was further explained to me that they had to charge more because the cost of ingredients has gone up. And when I told them that I would no longer order pizza from them, because I felt ripped off, all the woman I spoke to could do was apologize. No excuse for being ripped off. Between the random kids/teens, hanging behind the counter, outdated menus/prices, and a cook (long straggly hair, no net, no gloves) who makes orders when he feels like it were the easiest part of this visit. My cousin got a cheesesteak with undercooked peppers, mushrooms and onions.y personal pizza was so sweet, I swear they used a load Filpino pasta sauce and added a little extra sugar. Amazing service the people were very kind, Family Feud was playing top tier entertainment! The setting was very chill and clean. The food smelled amazing as we got it and tasted even better! The crust on the pizza was buttery and crispy, the dough was a perfect thickness not too dense but still a good deep dish. It was soft and fluffy but wasn't soggy a perfect combination. I will say more tomato sauce would make this better for me, but that is just personal preference. Overall 10/10, fire and would definitely return whenever craving a good authentic pizza! Assante's is A-Okay by me! Definitely a solid spot for cheap, quick, and late night eats. After an extended happy hour with friends I was ravenous and wanted to pick up a late dinner on my way home. I was craving pasta but didn't want anything fancy, and Assante's came up on Yelp as the least expensive option nearby. Their website was easy to navigate and place an order, no account or credit card needed. My order was ready when I arrived at the restaurant even though only one person was working. I paid with no issues and my food was still hot when I arrived at home. A large baked spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread (a sub roll with butter and garlic) cost less than $8. It wasn't nearly the best I've ever had, but it was satisfying and you can't beat the price. I had leftovers, and with some added seasoning it was still decent the next day. read more

Ordered delivery from here on a weekday - I had received a menu from them in the mail and decided to try them out. I ordered the small popcorn chicken, garlic knots, and a meatball sub. I was unimpressed with the meal. The chicken was ok, but it just looked kind of sad with the presentation of it. The garlic knots were not great and did not have much of a garlic flavor to them. I was also not satisfied with the meatball sub. The sauce was very heavy and had too much seasoning and spices added to it. It was also a little light on meatballs. This place is a no stop truckin' thunder diarrhea express train on nothin' but a porcelain free way. If it stopped at just me i'd get it, tummy rumbles are not uncommon. But my entire family, who hasn't the least bit of 'lack toast intoner ants' was cemented to the dunny. I've stumbled across their Philly cheese steak pizza recently and that's almost all I get now! Horrible customer service from the black lady! She gave me an attitude the entire time like I was taking too long or a burden on her. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and the sauce was way too strong and overwhelming tasting. Almost like they added too much spices to it. They put way too much sauce to the point i had to take my toppings off and scrape off the extra sauce and put the toppings back on. Terrible customer service . I was scolded by the manager just for saying that the tomatoes were green and super hard. He has said that he had picked out the tomatoes himself and none of them were green. I apologized since I seemed to have offended him for being honest about the quality of the food and even offered a picture of the tomatoes he said he didnt want the picture. Pizza was not good at all. Wings weren't fresh, didn't taste good either. They both tasted they were microwaved. Make sure person preparing foods are wearing gloves because I noticed when I was waiting for my order, the cook making orders without using gloves and hand washing methods. The food prep area was not clean and I noticed the cook wipe excess food with a rag that could cross contaminate the food prep areas. I love the pizza. The place delivers to Church Hill with late night delivery. They're even super fast. But consistently this place's delivery drivers fail to read the instruction of 'Please call and I will come out to you. My door is hard to find.' It has happened now 3 times. First time, they just simply went to the wrong door. Second time, the driver scared me to death as he wandered through my backyard looking for a door. Third time, the driver dialed the wrong number, opted for the wrong door, woke up my neighbors who were VERY mad, and then blamed a system that had sent an email confirmation with the right number. I will no long tip ahead. These people take it for granted they don't need to do what is requested of them because they've gotten their tip already. I recommend trying them, but don't tip ahead because tips are based on performance. read more
