We asked for it "Grandma's Style" which a New York type of pizza it comes with Fresh Garlic, Fresh Basil, Fresh Mozzarella, Seasoned Tomatoes (Olive Oil). Gino's employee's said they never heard of Grandma's Style however, they agreed to make it exactly the way we wanted it. The Sicilian Pie was Delicious!!!!! DELICIOUS!!! The Crust was Crunchy the way we LOVED and the Sicilian Pizza had AMAZING garlic flavor & smell the doe was soft like a pillow!!! Best pizza in Short Pump. Pickup only and def try the buffalo chicken pizza. It's the best I've had. Cheese or pepperoni are phenomenal too. They also have a giant pizza that is great for parties. Seems like a family run spot and the service is always perfect. Even their kids or grandkids are there helping out at the register and they are always happy and helpful. We ordered Take out today. I ordered Baked Spaghetti with meat sauce which is my go to. It's usually has a generous amount of meat sauce that's really sauce and meaty and lots of melty mozzarella cheese. It saddens me to say that today the mozzarella was as thin as onionskin paper and there was scant meat sauce on or in the spaghetti. But, there was lots of tasteless angel hair pasta. The fresh pizza is the best one to get in my opinion. I'm also biased because I'm Italian New Yorker but this place is always delicious, always hot, never under cooked or over cooked, perfect every time. They've also got greaaaaat desserts. Order from Gino's while we were on vacation, cheese pizza was delicious, also ordered the super deluxe pizza and white pizza with spinach both were really good but the cheese pizza hit different. Family run business and everyone is friendly and kind. They care about their customers and always try to provide the best customer service. The pizza was thin and cooked well. Has decent flop and reheats very well in the oven. Meatball sub is great. Not thrilled with the wings, the hot sauce seems watery and didn't coat the wings well. Great food, good people. The pizzas are wonderful the dinner dishes like spaghetti and chicken Marcella can't be beat anywhere in town. And then they have a treat for you when you walk in there are boxes of frozen ice. Finally got around to trying Ginos. Ordered a large pepperoni pizza and 12 wings (Brooklyn Special). Pizza was a solid pie, definitely a NY style, not super greasy like some places which was so nice! Service was quick and easy. Called in the order and was ready a few moments after arriving with the wings being fresh out of the fryer! (Crispy are the best). The menu is pretty robust with your typical items, subs, pizza, wings, pasta and such. No prices on the menu so check out the website if you are worried about cost. For National Pizza day we decided to try Gino's because of all the great reviews. So glad we did! We ordered the two cheese pizza special and were quoted 20 minutes for pick up. Sure enough, our pizzas were ready. The crust: definitely New York-style pizza with a perfectly baked crust. Someone told me (don't know if it's true) that a good New York pizza will not bend at the tip when you fold it slightly in half, and Gino's held up. The sauce: the pizza had just the right amount of sauce and was very balanced...no harsh burn from too much garlic and the sauce wasn't too sweet...just a lot of yummy tomato flavor. The cheese: the true sign of a good pizza is the cheese. You know the places that have the waxy cheese or worse, cheese that disintegrates into a pool of oil when it cooks. No, this pizza had perfectly melted cheese that is accentuated by the sauce. Mmmm, wish I had a slice or two now. I Really like Gino's a lot , my go to for pizza. BUT....the last 2 times I have tried to order take out my efforts were squashed. I am glad that they are so busy that they literally placed me on hold for 10 minutes until I hung up. That was first time. Today, phone rang 10 times and then went to some strange message. Big fan of their food and love to support local businesses, but when we ordered delivery a couple of nights ago, the delivery driver wasn't wearing a mask when he came to our door. In the middle of a pandemic. That's the last time we order from them, which is a shame because we order food from there every other week or so. I've become a really big fan of their pizza! There's really only so many things I can say about pizza..... Richmond is big on "NY style". It's almost like... you try one, you try them all, you know? I don't know exactly what it is about Gino's that awakened my appetite for their particular pizza, but I have a feeling it's the sauce. It's freaking yummy. But it's also kind of elusive because sometimes I can only taste it when it's peeking out by the crust. Makes me wish they put more sauce on it, really. But it's still a good slice. Really good. And you know, I'm a bit boring with pizza toppings. I like pizza because it's cheap. But when you want a specialty pizza or 5+ toppings on it, it's not so cheap anymore. First off, I love pizza. I rarely go more than a week without eating at least one, and I've eaten pizza in several different countries. This place is easily top 3, if not #1. They have a really nice authentic New York style pizza which has never disappointed me. It's great from the fold-ability to the pepperoni. They have almost that grease that runs down your chin, but not enough to make it messy. I'm also a fan of the setup. There is no place to eat inside Gino's, but when you pick your food up you can see directly into the kitchen, which is always clean. The employees are very nice and genuine, quick without feeling rushed. I highly recommend this pizza. I buy the party pizza for my work colleagues and it never lasts more than 30 minutes. Wheeeew... we order from these guys so often, I'm amazed they don't know our address by heart by now. Their pizza is amazing. I'm a bit picky when it comes to pizza, and I used to only really care for Papa John's, but ever since a couple years ago when I tried their pizza.. it's so delicious. I've ordered their salads, wings, I love their french fries, cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, baked spaghetti.. we've ordered so many things from them, I can't even list it on here. This is our go-to and favorite pizza place in Richmond. If you like NY style pizza, Gino's is the place for you. They deliver to our house which is super convenient and they are always quick on the phone and with the delivery. It never takes more than 45 minutes even at peak hours. We always order a pepperoni pizza with an appetizer. The mozzarella sticks are tasty, but our favorite are the jalapeno poppers. They are to die for!! Treat yourself - order a pizza from Gino's. We ordered 20 pizzas with a total of $300.. the gentleman who took my order had an attitude, when the pizza was delivered the delivery guy cussed out the guard house and cussed at me as well, and when I called to report it to the manager all she had to say is that we are sorry to hear that. I grew up eating Ginos pizza but whoever is operating it now especially in these times obviously does not care about giving good customer service to have customers to return back to them.
