Transparently, there was a moment I considered switching providers but this was due to a specific nurse practitioner versus the practice. I was switched to a different NP and have been happy. My last visit did uncover an atypical mole plus another to freeze off for precaution. I returned to see Dr. Cassis and had my mole surgically removed. Four stitches and will return for removal. The team took great care of me, from scheduling to having empathy for my fear of the needles and surgery. I received hugs from a couple of people and they didn't make me feel embarrassed. There's plenty of parking near the medical center. Two lobbies - one for basic skin checks and another for services with Dr. Cassis. Take note that calling to make an appointment can take a moment if the team isn't available to answer. It's listed as a core complaint in other reviews and it's not unfounded. The front desk team for skin checks is also fairly business-like but I've not experienced or witnessed rude behavior. I'm okay with that because the appointments run on time and that feels rare with other medical appointments.

He is also aware of my numerous medicine allergies but is able to steer around them to find an appropriate treatment. In fact the most recent treatment was a cream that was not a steroid. The only problem was it wasn't covered by my insurance and was going to cost over $1,000. for one 60 gram tube. Dr Rickett and his staff filed the necessary paperwork and information to get it covered. So instead of it costing a price I absolutely could not pay it cost $134. Yes, that is still high but worth getting an effective medicine that is not a steroid. On an emergency basis I have also seen other doctors in this practice. I called on a Monday morning with a problem and was able to schedule an appointment with Dr Wise on Tuesday morning. She and her nurse were both pleasant and very capable to handle my issue. My husband also is a patient of Dr Rickett and has ongoing treatment for skin cancer. We are always able to schedule our appointments back to back so we're there at the same time. It doesn't matter what your dermatology need is I highly recommend any of the doctors in this practice! The office staff and doctors are all five star quality.

I've seen both Dr. Wise and Dr. Kuruvilla and they are both great, honest and thorough with each appointment. The front desk staff are always welcoming and friendly, and make it easy to get the next appointment on the books. One thing I always look for in a good doctor is one who will give me genuine advice rather than a textbook one. I feel like I get that here and get a better understanding of my moles or spots. I have dealt with nasty skin tags my entire life, but Dr. Kuruvilla helped me zap them off for good and taught me how to prevent them. I highly recommend Forefront for anyone in the Middletown area looking for good dermatologists. Also, just a friendly reminder to get your skin checked!! :)

I asked for a biopsy and was told they would do such biopsy though they recommended someone else. When I returned for the biopsy I was promised I was then refused. This practice is strictly cosmetic. Oh and I had a postive ANA also. Hateful people.

He really hustles to get all of the issues and questions raised by his patients addressed and I am a super satisfied patient. In addition to being a dermatologist, he is also a dermatopathologist so he can review the skin lesions under the microscope too.

I am stuck looking like this because I went in for under eye filler Jan 3rd, he (Dr Sean McGuire) decided I needed it in my cheek not under my eye. I asked to be seen after extreme pain and no filer under my eye and large pockets in my cheek, they saw me on the 14th and he said as long as you can't see the pain it doesn't matter, I asked if the filler had gone into my cheek by mistake because I do not see it under my eye only in my cheek, he stated "No not by mistake, I put it in your cheek", I said "I wanted it under my eye, not in my cheek at all." He laughed and stated "I've been doing this 18 years I think I know where you need filler." I stayed silent, completely baffled." He offered to put the filler in the place I asked for it initially, I said yes absolutely that would be great, he drew it with a pencil where I wanted it and I agreed. After injecting it I looked in the mirror and saw my cheek was even larger. I didn't know what to do or say and just left and contacted the manager. She stated she did not want me to be unhappy and would like to see me back I said I am literally moving out of state next week and can not come in, and I said quite frankly if I could come in I would not, the doctor was extremely aggressive and rude and would not want him to touch me again. She said to continue sending photos and after day 14 of it does not look better there will be a refund or partial refund or some kind of resolution. Still unhappy with her answer I said okay and kept sending photos, day 14 I sent this photo, both the nurse and the office manager responded, saying it looked great. On day 20 I reached out as I had not heard anything back from them as far as a resolution goes, only how great it looked. I sent this email where I had no response. "Hello, it is now day 20 since I have had my follow up visit where the filler was placed in my cheeks again. My last email I had requested a refund, again and that has not been replied to. I am sending this email to request a refund for the filler that was placed in my cheek Jan 3rd. I was told there would be a resolution on day 14 and it is now day 20. I feel like I'm getting the runaround at this point. I would like a direct answer on this matter. Thank you." On day 25 I called and the office manager stated that I would not be given a refund or any resolution and that they think it looks great and are very satisfied with how it turned out. She said she spoke with the doctor and he would not agree to any resolution. So all this to say, if this is how you want to look, go to Center for Beauty and see Sean McGuire.

BEWARE Update: I had to get my bank involved. 90 days later I got my TWO co pays back. That's right they charged me for a co pay to wait 45 Minutes then when I asked for a refund because I was done with waiting - they charged me a second time!!!! Office staff kept telling me that their records show I received my refund. Many calls later and with the help of L and N credit union (super bank) I finally got my $90dollars. Beware - do not use your debit card with these clowns. Use a credit card if you continue to see this group of docs - you will get your money back faster.
