Over the course of several visits, he was successful in greatly reducing the residual damage and made it much less noticeable. I also revisited his office for mole removal and biopsy. He is very pleasant and informative when explaining procedures and techniques, reasonable expectations and outcomes, and readily available for followup care. Him and his nurse made me feel comfortable and well informed. His staff all make me feel important when I am in the office. His team and I took our time outlining everything that I really wanted. Fast forward to me actually saying yes and scheduling and I was a nervous wreck. Fast forward to the pre-op and I was beyond impressed and proud. Dr Quintero had me take more precautions for my well being in the operating room than any of my friends had taken with their surgeons. I heard, "well I didn't have to do that" several times from others and I knew I made the correct decision. My follow up appointments have been positive and my weekends were assured with the office staff letting me know they were a phone call away, and they were. It shouldn't have taken so long just to end up refusing to do the procedure which I feel was unnecessary since my doctor (a specialist) said it would be alright.

I don't know anyone that really wants to have surgery. However if you need surgery this is an…read moreexcellent facility to have it at. First the communication pre-surgery is fantastic. I have a number of allergies and medical conditions and was concerned about the surgery. During the week before my scheduled procedure I was able to communicate with the surgeon and her nurse via Baptist MyChart. Each time I posed a question I got an answer within hours. Dr. Bauer went so far as to list all the medications that would be used during the surgery so I could confirm any allergies that may not have been listed ony records. There was also clear communication about prep for surgery, arrival time, parking location, the need for a driver, and post surgical instructions. The day of surgery was also an extremely positive experience. Check in was a breeze. The nurse that was processing me for surgery was very thorough on confirming my medications and allergies. After getting prepped they brought my husband back to join me. He stayed in the same area until I returned from surgery. The actual surgery was outstanding. I had opted to not be sedated or medicated due to medical conditions that it could have had negative affects on. Since I was fully aware of everything that was going on the surgical nurse asked me if I wanted her to stay quiet or give me a blow by blow description of what was occuring. I told her I was nosey and would love the description of what was happening. She said you're not nosey, you're educated. So the nurse in a calm manner told me when I was going to be scrubbed, when I would feel a cold numbing agent, and each step of the procedure. She also told me estimated time left in the procedure, etc. After the procedure I was taken back out and joined my husband in post op. Because I wasn't sedated the recovery time was only about fifteen minutes. We were sent on our way with good verbal and written instructions. I wouldn't hesitate to have any surgery done at Baptist Eastpoint Surgical Center. Definitely a five star experience.
