This is one of those private parking companies that took over city parking from the city of Hollywood. I know nothing is free, but Asta Parking is a price gouger. This particular interaction was at the parking lot nearest Taylor Street and happened this last Sunday. This particular lot is right off A1A. There was no attendant, no security lighting and poor paving / drainage. Since it had rained, there was standing water and my friend and I had to Olympic style jumps to not dirty my "Tiffany". Their rates are $20 for 4 hours, or $30 for 6. So even if you have a quick errand or grab take out, you're stuck with $20 or risk getting a boot or towing. I've been receiving letters nonstop over this business invoicing me $96.30 due to my failing to extend my parking which, was originally a $3.50 parking fee. There is no representative to explain this ridiculous fine nor explain to that the Park-By-App was failing to register payment after 12:00am. I find it disturbing that they go out of their way to ensure they have every mechanism possible to fine for 'overstays' but no guardrails in place to ensure that a 'consumer' isn't unwillingly put in a position to be charged an 'overstay' fee. Elaborating here: not only do they have cameras that monitor entry & exit of the vehicles using the lots to park in, but they have security walking around actively inspecting vehicles to fine (not to ensure your vehicle is safe that part they are very adamant is not their responsibility), but are not ensuring that the app does not fail or have bugs. After a very lazy Google search, I found that this is a seemingly regular business practice for them and I encourage everyone to report this business as these are unethical, not to mention I'm pretty certain predatory business practices. read more

I used an asta parking lot on New Years Day for about 5 minutes. Its now January 17th 2025 and I have had to close the CC I used for fraud. Asta parking is attempting to charge my card each week. Misleading language at the parking lot regarding cash payment, refusing Apple Pay in their app, tight parking. Not wishing to risk having my credit card hacked, I opted to pay cash. Their machine does not give ANY change. The correct language should read "no change given". Parking options are far and few at Las Olas beach but it seems I can't recommend this lot. read more

Used their service on November 24, 2021, valet parking only parking lot. Vehicle inspected upon being delivered to the valet. Vehicle was returned the next day with damage. Filed a claim with the company, they acknowledged it's a valet only parking lot but denied the claim because they could not find anything in the lot that would've caused the damage. The valet himself encouraged me to file the claim as he agreed it happened while it was parked with them. I would not trust parking my car with this company anywhere in Florida. After arriving at the Asta Parking booth at 9:29 AM on Sunday, March 5, 2023 (No. 223) the attendant did not provide me with a receipt for taking my car but instead asked me for my Cell number. My car was parked outside of the Java Jam restaurant at 301 E. Las Olas Blvd., Fort Lauderdale. The sign at the booth stated that the parking rate was $7.00. When the parking attendant retrieved my car I provided him with my credit card number and he stated that he would Email it to me. When I arrived home I found that no such receipt was texted to me but my Visa account showed a charge for $12.00, or an additional $5.00. He did not state what the final amount would be. While this is not significant amount it still was a DELIBERATE DECEPTION and poor business practices. I will not park at an Asta Parking facility again. read more

Its a scam. There's a few of these parking companies that operate in the same manner. Naturally South Florida, anywhere else and they would be run out of town. The lots are typically empty lots waiting for development, frequently unpaved. The reason they have plenty of open spaces is knowledgeable people avoid their lots. They basically suck you in with reasonable rates and "fine" you with the slightest glitch you make. My fine was 27 times the $3.50 parking charge. Do not overstay. Do not park over the line. Bring cash as they use some oddball parking app you likely don't have (and likely don't want to give your credit card details to). Have good credit so you can thumb your nose at the threats you get while you ignore their "fines". read more

DO NOT park in any Asta owned lot or any lot with the @ParkByApp logo. If you run just one minute over, there will be a ticket on your car and there is no direct method to contact the issuer. They provide an email address which is worthless, as they do not read and answer questions, they only direct you to their website to pay them. There are plenty of other places to park. My vehicle was CRASHED by their valet driver after they made me wait 40 minutes with my family and 90 year old grandmother in the Florida heat! They moved our car with out notification and moved to lot with no cameras and our car was broken in to and several items stolen. Their lot at 71 Spanish St. St Augustine says max 4 hours but why then can you renew by app? Are they hoping you will forget? Why not just let you pay 8 hours. St. Augustine is a tourist area, people are visiting attractions and forget, even if by seconds the tow company has taking your car and won't release it to you only to rental company. Unfortunately it seems like others have had issues with this valet company. Long story short: valet crashed my car into a storage tank, taking my side view mirror with them. Apologies were not given until it was brought to the supervisors attention, uncooperative with obtaining basic information for claims, valet involved in the accident continued to park/move cars, valet staff jumping up and down on the back of the supervisors truck while I was waiting for my reports... the situation could have been handled in a more professional manner. Accidents happen but the poor professionalism is what was most upsetting. Since Fat Cats is the only place we'd heard of we were unsure were else to look. He was a great guy who pointed out where to go and who to talk to down there. After corresponding with my husband and conferring with her superiors, Asta parking agreed to pay for the damages that our car incurred as a result of the careless valet attendant. They even paid for a rental car while our car was being fixed. Tiffany was great to work with and made the entire process completely painless. The only reason I have not increased my rating to five stars is because of the valet driver who damaged our car, lied to our faces and argued with us (in the rain with our children watching). This company is highway robbery. It's one thing that this crappie company charges you minimum $20 to park. When your time is up they don't give you an option to had an hour to your time. You have to pay another minimum $20 to stay there. This company should be shut down for what they charge. I get cheaper rates to go to Miami to watch the heat play basketball, or go out on the town. THIEVES! I went to a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale and this company was used for valet. I did a find my phone search on my Uber drivers phone and it kept pointing at valet, and the "manager" Miguel got very defensive and told me to get the "F" out of there and apologize for accusing them, when all I did was tell them listen my find the phone is pointing here did you happen to find a phone. We hired Asta for my sisters wedding and they parked our family corvette (low car) in the back of grass/gravel lot and destroyed the front fender of the car. The valet guy apologized to me for the damage on site but when I filed a claim, Cathi Crane (the manager) said the damage was not their fault and refused to pay. These guys are cheaters. They clearly damaged my car and admitted it on site but then after I filed a claim they refuse to pay. I recommend that you NEVER USE ASTA! read more

Car was hit and broke the right side mirror including the camera in it when being driven by the valet driver. Mistakes happen, the issue is how it was handled. When the hit happened, the driver had to be told to stop in order to not create potential further damage. The driver simply said "my bad". After the incident, when the supervisor showed up, the drivers were just playing around nonchalant as if nothing happened. read more
