The Colony is one of my favorite places to stop by in Palm Beach. The iconic pink building is absolutely beautiful and has so much charm. The location couldn't be better--right in the heart of Palm Beach, with the beach, Worth Avenue, and all the beautiful courtyards and little streets just a short walk away. Everything is so easy to explore on foot. They also offer convenient valet parking, which makes visiting even easier. The hotel is always spotless, and everyone I've interacted with has been welcoming and genuinely friendly. There's a lovely café and restaurant on the property, perfect for a coffee break or a meal. If you visit during the holidays, don't miss their Christmas decorations. The pink-themed Christmas tree is stunning and fits the hotel's style perfectly. I also love that if you're celebrating a birthday, the café can write a personalized birthday message right on top of your drink--such a thoughtful little touch. The Colony has its own unique style and atmosphere. Whether you're staying here or just stopping in for coffee, it's definitely worth a visit. read more

Came for a staycation and my wife's birthday. Made the reservation about a week or two in advance, very little was available in the way of room choices. I called several times asking for an upgrade if there were a cancellations. However, when we arrived and room choices were still a bit limited, the Colony made a wonderful and significant upgrade for us and we could not be more appreciative. To say above and beyond would be understating. So...what about everything else? From the time you're greeted by the bellmen, to the check-in process, the employees could not be more friendly and accomodating. The bartenders are long time employees, and very nice folks. The servers too are great. Management has done a fantastic job creating a welcoming atmosphere where one feels right at home. The restaurant, Swifty's, is excellent. Breakfast poolside is always nice. Early riser? Coffee and a choice of newspapers are alway waiting for you. Take it outside by the pool and have a quiet morning before starting the day. Six story pink hotel parallel to Worth Ave and only two blocks from the beach. Felt like a 1970s vibe with lots of ammenities including a café, lobby bar, gift shop, restaurant with a cool little pool bar called Swifties. The resort pool was open to the public and was packed. Street parking was tight but valet was offered. Bicycles were available to rent to ride for checking out historic landmarks in Palm Beach. The gender assigned bathroom was clean with an attendant nearby. Definitely a great spot for a venue or simply a nice place to relax with friends. read more

The pink hotel really stood out just a short walk from Worth Ave. We just followed the girls from the bridal shower into the hotel to find the fun. Did not stay overnight here but used the amenities without a resort fee. Lovely pool and restaurant with two bars, bike rentals, coffee shop and a gift store. We stayed here with friends last month. The rooms are on the small side BUT well thought out. Nice bed, nice sheets, nice towels... We were rarely in our room, lots of spaces to enjoy throughout the hotel. I loved the vibe here! The restaurant was terrific and definitely a hot spot in this town. I would stay here again no doubt. You can tell when a hotel is privately owned versus a large hotel chain. Every detail was carefully thought out and executed perfectly. We loved the coffee shop. Everything at this hotel is AMAZING. The good-looking valet guys the beautiful girls with the Zimmerman dresses, the gorgeous wallpaper, the Dolce & Gabbana store in the lobby, comfortable beds etc. Service is top notch but food and drinks are pricey! I'm not rich so 2 drinks at $50 is high for me and $12 for 2 pieces of toast is nuts but some people wouldn't bat an eye I ordered it but cried in my sleep that night! LOL. I had an enjoyable stay! The Colony Hotel is a beloved Palm Beach Staple located on Palm Beach Island. Some people will say that The Colony is more than a place to stay - it is a Palm Beach Experience. This Retro-Chic Hotel painted in Pink Pastels opened in 1947 and is full of Charm and History. The hotel has a combination of 89 rooms including 16 suites and Designer Villas. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The Lobby has Live Music where everyone gathers. The Hotel features a restaurant, lounge, shops, a Spa along with Beach Yoga that is extremely popular. Do you travel with your four-legged companions? If so the Colony Hotel is exceptionally pet-friendly providing doggie beds, bowls and treats. It's pretty cool. There are Two Pools each with Cabanas and "Waiter Service". The Themed Pool Parties are a blast. On the patio there is an array of Fun things to do from Bingo during the Day to Trivia at Night which is a lot of fun. The beach has "Beach Butler Service" providing everything from snacks and foods to the Set-Up and Break-Down of Beach Chairs, Umbrellas and so forth. Parking can be difficult, and the Hotel does encourage guests to use "Valet Parking". So if in town, I definitely recommend visiting this whimsical icon of Palm Beach Florida. read more

truly an exceptional pink paradise! every inch of the colony is instagrammable. during our short stay we really enjoyed this charming hotel located in the heart of palm beach with plenty of amenities to enjoy. we got to enjoy borrowing the beach cruisers riding up and down the palm beach shoreline to mar a lago and down to the breakers. even enjoyed the house car that took us back and forth from the plaza. they have a cute set up on the public beach with umbrellas and beach chairs and can take you to the beach from the hotel with their beach runner / buggy. hats off to the hard working bell and valet staff that took such amazing care of us. the concierge is managed by text by johnnie brown the monkey :) and he's always prompt to respond and help! on-site entertainment is offered with live guitarist in the evenings and i heard there are even bingo nights! plenty of locals visit for swifty's restaurant and seasonal offerings. truly a place that connects the palm beach community. from the laduree turn down chocolates, to the matouk linens and evian water bottles, every little detail of the colony is exceptional. albeit a historic property that shows its age but it's impeccably maintained and has the charm that parallels my sorority house which i absolutely loved. read more

I went to the colony Hotel to receive a wonderful massage service. I don't think I'd ever been to the hotel before. But the valet and the lobby area concierge were both nice and attentive. The hotel was clean, beautiful and very Palm Beach :-) I did not have the chance to have any food but I will next time their menu looked incredible and my massage was food for the spirit! It was so relaxing there Were aromatherapy benefits that really went above and beyond, and the ambience was chill, beautiful, serene. I really loved my stay. The location is perfectly walkable to restaurants, shopping and a block from the beach. I think it's a much better location than the Breakers. The decor is just fabulous throughout. Beautiful boutique style with gorgeous wallpaper, accents and furnishings. Staff was also wonderful and service felt personal. The concierge and valet couldn't have been nicer or more attentive. The reason I didn't feel it was 5 stars was the room itself. Again very cute, charming decor and the bed was amazing. But for the price point, the bathroom wasn't ok. Tiny sink and shower (handheld type) with no outlet or space. I'm sure the suites are better but I just hoped for more at ~1K per night. I guess this is the nature of a historic boutique property. Walls were super thin and could hear conversations next door. Kudos to housekeeping for an excellent job. read more

Lunch at Swifty's was absolutely memorable. The gazpacho is a party in your mouth! The Key West shrimp were huge and delectable. I went here for another event. It is always a beautiful setting- I love the pool area so much- so relaxing. I also love their infused ayer with strawberries and orange! Delicious. Employees are always very friendly and very helpful. Beautiful location in Palm Beach- just a walk to town and a walk to the beach. The event was partially outside next to the pool with outdoor music and then moved inside to the ballroom. There also is a side "yard" with a beautiful set up that they had a buffet on. Absolutely like paradise! Beautiful. One problem, we had an issue with the wi fi which was a problem because the organization was trying to use iPads to take credit cards for the call to the heart. The Colony Palm Beach has lost its luster and there are 2 fabulous alternatives in the Palm House on Royal Palm Way and the much anticipated Vineta, site of the former Chesterfield Hotel. The Colony is clueless to the fact that guests that book premier rentals on property such as Villas and Bungalows expect a high degree of discretion and privacy. They have lost the point of hospitality with their multiple cameras that capture guests' on private terraces and patios. And the Bungalows are very claustrophobic. Fortunately we were able to move to the Palm House. read more

Yes The Breakers Hotel is all that and a bag of chips, BUT, if you really want to experience Palm Beach then you need to go to The Colony Hotel. It's truly "Palm Beach." The decor is amazing with lots of pinks and greens- totally Palm Beach. They have valet parking, bicycles to ride, a few cars to take you around town. The staff is excellent, polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to assist. The rooms are nothing short of amazing! Beautiful outdoor pool and dinning area. The food is great, the drinks are stiff, live entertainment on the weekends and you have a sense of peace and quiet your entire stay. The hotel is right at the corner of Worth Ave so plan to do some fabulous shopping. We discovered that Thursday night is "Gentlemen's Night" were the boogie locals dress up and come out for a cocktail or two. Some very handsome men were seen. Great place to visit!!! read more

This is a beautiful, one of a kind hotel with gorgeous spaces and incredible staff. The wallpaper in the living room is handpainted, and the staff will give you a scavenger hunt to find various Easter eggs in the wallpaper. We did find that the restaurant is extremely expensive and the food is not particularly on par with the prices, but they have bingo night on Sundays and trivia on Mondays, so eating at the restaurant is a lot of fun if you are participating in either of those, and in some ways justified the price for us :) read more

We popped in here for a cocktail, and felt transcended to a tropical hideaway at their poolside bar! The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. Hubs ordered The Sailfish rum cocktail and sucked it down quickly! The Sailfish is a creative blend of hibiscus infused rum, ancho Reyes verde grenadine, lime juice and black peppercorn drizzle. I opted for a Makers Mark Old Fashion and it was delish! We only stopped by for a cocktail, but it seems a lovely place to stay while visiting Palm Beach. We went recently to The Colony for brunch. An expensive excursion, but holy crap, if you want to have a treat for yourself, your partner, go with friends, or family, this is the place. Located in Palm Beach, The Colony itself has been opened since the 20s as a hotel but welcomes those not staying there for meals. And their brunch is lovely. Very lovely. While there is street parking, doing valet is cool and complimentary, especially, when you drive under the narrow archway (more suited to cars manufactured in the 1920s than 2019). You don't see buildings like the Colony much in South Florida with that kind of history and character. Walking into the reception and through the tropical leaf-wallpapered hallway, we made our way to the dining area, which consisted of a bar area, some table and booth seating as well as lounge seating. There's a little space in the corner for live music (given the drum kit positioned there). Currently, they have a $35 all-you-can-drink for brunch for bloody marys, bellinis, mimosas, and rose -- which you can mix-match. The bloodys are homemade and very good, while the bellinis are more champagne-heavy but delish. I enjoyed the rose as well (at least what my girlfriend let me try). Food-wise, I ordered the Cereal-Crusted French Toast with a side of bacon -- because bacon. The former was one of the best French Toast dishes I have ever had for breakfast/ brunch. Served with a warm Pecan Maple Syrup, the French Toast is a bonafide knockout, especially, when you consider the caramelized banana slices placed on top of the French Toast. When you combine all these elements.... BOOM! Flavor implosion. You blackout, you forget where you are, you are blinded by the sheer greatness of the Cereal-Crusted French Toast that takes you to a place of love and understanding. I dipped some of the bacon into the Pecan Maple Syrup for good measure... Magical. My girlfriend let me have a little piece of lobster salad. And that was quite glorious and good as well. While I can't speak on the overnight or pool accommodations, I can say the food offerings are spot on, especially in an area as opulent and historic as Palm Beach. The Colony is a good place to splurge on brunch or just stopping by if you want to enjoy a drink by the pool or bar for a couple of hours. read more

I visited The Colony Sunday 12/20 to have brunch with a girlfriend of mine visiting from out of town. After our reservation at Swifty's, we decided to take pictures around the cute hotel. The only reason we had came to The Colony was because of the Instagram ads that targeted me. I thought this was a cute hotel and it would be a great place to take my friend to take some pictures. The Swifty's had no AC the entire time we dined. Our food was very mediocre. Making the best of it, we ate our lunch, and made our way into the lobby to take pictures. As soon as we started, a dark hair female staff member came over and asked us if we were taking the photos for business purposes. We said no, just personal. She said that was fine and "to continue". Not even 5 minutes later, a blonde female staff member came over with the rudest demeanor. She told us to stop. I told her we just spoke to another staff member not even 5 minutes ago who told us it was fine. She said this is a place of business. I said we just dined here. She said well you guys are moving things and you're being excessive. I told her that we didn't move a single thing and that she did not have to speak rudely to us. We left and are almost certain that she targeted us because we are not fair skinned. This left an extremely bad taste in our mouths. We were not treated with respect after spending money on the property. read more
