Summer 2025: I brought in my dead watch for repair. Leonel promised to contact me the following day with a diagnosis and estimate. He never did. Fall 2025: Over several months, I called, texted, messaged on Yelp, and stopped by in person. Most of the time his voicemail was completely full. Finally, I caught him in the shop, he told me he took the watch home to work on it and would follow up. Late Nov 2025: He finally texted saying it needed an aftermarket movement and would be ready by early December. Present: Ghosted again. Unanswered texts, full voicemail box, no response to Yelp messages, and the shop has been closed during posted business hours every time I've stopped by. It has literally been a full year and I still don't have my watch back. At this point, I don't even care about getting it repaired, I just want my returned. Advice for prospective clients: If you insist on using his services, only bring in simple jobs he can complete right in front of you while you wait. A very nice woman named Jen helped us. Jen helped us figure out the best length and found the perfect gold chain for the locket. My wife was also gifted a birthstone bracelet (that she also wanted to wear to the upcoming event) but it wouldn't stay in place around her wrist so we also took the bracelet to Oaks Jewelers to be re-sized. Jen figured out the best length so it would stay in place, but the bracelet wouldn't be ready in time to wear to the event. (Our fault -- we had been meaning to get to Oaks Jewelers for quite some time and the locket was the most important so my wife was still happy.) However, a few days before the event, we got a text from Oaks Jewelers that the bracelet was ready to be picked up! The event was a lot of fun and needless to say, my wife was thrilled that she got to wear both the locket and birthstone bracelet!
