Then they changed again and I called at 5:00pm explaining I had canceled but could they accommodate the 4 of us last minute. No problem. We were greeted and sat right away, our server was friendly and attentive. Even though it was filling up quickly, we didn't feel rushed. While our food was good, was it the best Italian we've ever had? No, but honestly it's rare to find really really good Italian these days. Regardless of that, we enjoyed our meal and enjoyed our time. Parking situation: the restaurant is located in a busy mall/street mall area. There's street parking closer but mostly parking is mall parking with a little bit of a walk. $$$$ - on the higher end. Sorry folks, but this is not an Italian restaurant. It's more like a food court eatery. No eggplant, no veal, no pizza and meatballs that should be called 'bread balls'. The bread basket had something in it, I'd call crusty white bread! The menu could fit on a five by ten card and the food, we had, was mediocre at best. The wine glasses had the minimum amount possible above calling them samples. Very disappointing. Also the check has a 3% service charge, another way of padding your bill! And the tip percent is calculated on the after tax and service is added on?? The reason for the two stars is that the service staff was great and the desert was good. I would like to give Asti five stars, but it just wasn't there on our last visit. We invited friends along who are vegetarians. The menu says at the top corner that a vegetarian menu is available on request. When we ask for one, we were told they don't really have them. They just take the meat off other entrées on the regular menu, but charge you the same price. Huh?! Our friends solved the problem by ordering items that are naturally vegetarian, of which there are very few on the menu, instead of paying full price and receiving something less than what another diner might receive who ordered the same item. We had a pretty disappointing experience here. Our server was the only one working the floor on a Sunday night, which clearly wasn't their fault, but it meant we only saw them a couple of times and they seemed very overwhelmed and rushed. Service took over two hours for just two of us, even though we ordered everything the first time the server came by. Unfortunately, the food didn't make up for it. I ordered the chicken Alfredo, and it was underwhelming -- honestly, I've had better Italian food at Olive Garden. What made it more frustrating was that what appeared to be the manager or owner was only seen on the floor once. When we left, he was sitting in the corner with a glass of wine playing cards while the server was still clearly struggling to keep up. Between the long wait times, lack of support for staff, and the quality of the food, it just wasn't worth it. We stopped here on a Sunday night to celebrate my birthday. There were only two other tables besides ours. The service was on point and although Amy appeared to be the only one working front of house she provided amazing service. She was knowledge and kind and very attentive. The ambiance was nice, I really liked the decor and the music. The only downside was that the AC was out so we had to sit in the far back of the restaurant where it was cooler. I had the light white wine flight which was amazing and I ultimately decided on a glass of the Tuscan Blend to go with my entree. For appetizers my husband chose the Parmesan garlic bread which was to die for. It came with two large pieces of fresh crusty bread with amazing garlic flavor and lots of ooey gooey melty cheese. The marinara that came with the bread was absolutely incredible. I chose the polenta bruschetta as my appetizer and it was fresh and delicious - the perfect start to the meal. My husband chose the fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken. He said the pasta was good but that the grilled chicken was a bit dry. I chose the chicken orecchiette which was a large portion of perfectly cooked pasta, savory sauce, and roasted chicken served piping hot. My only complaint was the large pieces of sun-dried tomato that I chose to pick around. I also wish I would've asked to have the mushrooms left out but that was my mistake not the kitchen. When Amy noticed I hadn't eaten the mushrooms she was very apologetic and let me know that most entrees could be adapted and to make sure I asked for no mushrooms next time which I found really thoughtful. For dessert I chose the gelato affogato which was the perfect end to our meal. When Amy found out we were celebrating my birthday she said it was on the house which was a nice surprise. My husband chose the chocolate temptation cake which was a large enough portion for us to split and it came with a scoop of pistachio and a scoop of butter pecan gelato which were both creamy perfection. The benefit of the restaurant getting situated in a mall is once you fill up with your favorite dishes, taking a walk around the mall helps you burn it all off. Ambiance (4.5/5): The place was clean and quite spacious. The overall mood was very warm and comfortable. While the ambiance felt very refined, it felt like something was missing, potentially more character. Service (5/5): Our server was friendly and informative. Even though the restaurant had given us a heads up that service may be slow because they were quite busy, I didn't feel like my needs were ignored. Food (5/5): - Classic Chicken Parmigian: Wooooow, the portion was huge so be prepared. The dish was sooo good; however, I wished I was able to finish it. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, seasoned perfectly with the cheese on top making it a fantastic pairing with the linguine. The marinara was slightly tart with the perfect blend of seasoning. I would definitely be back to grab that again. - Fried Mozzarella: You really can't go wrong with Mozzarella sticks... pairing the mozzarella with the marinara sauce was a great palette stimulator for the main entrée. - Crab Cakes: I actually didn't try this dish but it looked pretty good. The crab cakes were bite-sized and looked a little on the burnt side. Gnocchi: The Gnocchi was tasty but a tad on the softer side, it was missing that slight chewy side for me. The flavors of the sauce was good Heads on on the appetizers: some of the portions are on a smaller side so plan for that if you're a larger party. I rarely go out for Italian food and pasta so the next time I'm out for that, I'll for sure use Asti D'Italia as a benchmark. They're trying to be an upscale modern Italian place you'd expect in the city but they're located in the suburbs and their food isn't very good to begin with. There were a few problems, all unfortunately with my dish. I ordered linguine marinara with chicken which was a disappointment. Meal was watery, linguine was not properly drained which ruined the sauce. Service was not timely, waiter was taking care of other tables payments which I would think was not as important. Waited about 10 minutes for Parmesan cheese. By the time it arrived the dish was cold. The chicken was grilled, but was obviously for another dish, chicken caprese, was prepared in balsamic. That was not tasty in the linguine and marina, chicken should have been just grilled. I ate it, but will have second thoughts on returning.. For a $150 I expected better. We will not be back. For how much we paid I am pretty disappointed. Wayyy to expensive for our experience. Came to celebrate my birthday on a Monday. We were one of three tables there and service was still awful. For the second half of dinner we were the ONLY people in the restaurant. There were 3-4 teenagers working and they seemed more interested in talking and hanging out then taking care of their guests. From the start they seemed bothered that we were there and ready to us to leave so they could too. The food was okay. But we left hungry which should not be the case after spending $70 for two entrees and "bread". $4 for bread service And it's a single loaf squished down flat and cut into 6 pieces. Not only was the heat on way too high in the restaurant making it very uncomfortable but we were barely attended to the entire time we were there. We waiting around for 10-15 mins to see anyone to ask for more water and Bread and We sat at our table after we finished eating for about 25 minutes and not a single person came and asked us if we needed anything or a box or the check. We just sat there ....sweating. Sad we spent my birthday dinner here. If there was an adult around I would have chatted with them about our experience cause it was pretty bad. read more

This is a quaint Italian restaurant that you wouldn't expect in a shopping center. To start... we didn't have great service. We stood at the front for a couple of minutes before we were greeted, we encountered a waiter who cursed under his breath about his co workers, the waiter who brought us our water didn't say a word to us and then we had to ask the manager for our waiter because no one was assigned to our table.
