Estia is a spot I go to a lot during the Summer. Overall, I really like it. I think the atmosphere is one of the best on cape, and it is definitely the most lively restaurant in the Mashpee Commons. The bread is to die for and honestly half the reason I keep going back. The kabobs are really good and I like how most of the entrees come with a salad--a nice touch in my opinion. My only complaint is that everything is ridiculously overpriced. Like wayyy too much. If they were to scale back their prices--especially in the winter when it's just locals coming in--I would give it five stars. read more

Arrived early to beat the rush. As soon as we were seated we were greeted with fresh water and warm bread. This was my first time there, however my wife had been before so she was familiar with the menu. We both ordered kabobs. I had the steak and swordfish combo. The food was very good. I had a glass of the Greek house red and it was a perfect choice to compliment my meal. Our server Alex was great. Estia was warm and welcoming and got busy fast. First: very clean, very accommodating in the wait staff was terrific. I love that they put the bottles of water on the table, and their bread was absolutely fantastic. Of the four meals we ordered, all the meat was dry. Dry lamb on the pita. Dry chicken on the caprese ciabatta sandwich. The composition of the sandwiches was very good but sadly the meat was dry. We also had two gyros and although they were huge, and very appealing looking, they could have used additional sauce as the meet was a bit over cooked. If we paid half the price I may not have written this but at $24-25 per meal, I was disappointed and for that reason would probably not go back. read more

Estia is some of the best Greek food you will experience, outside of Greece itself. The salads, lamb dishes and pizza are all stellar. I generally don't like anything sweet on pizza but their fig & prosciutto pizza is amazing. Also, the combination appetizer where you get feta cheese, Greek sausage, phyllo, grape leaves, etc. is amazing. Just that and share a pizza and you are all set. read more

Chicken kabob was a nice dish. Side of herb roasted potatoes was delicious. My favorite and go to is their pizza. Delicious, coal fired and my kind of pizza. Worth the $$. You pay for a great quality pie and it delivers. Maybe the best pizza on Cape? It's definitely in the running. Can't wait to dine in there once they reopen from the corona virus. We rarely go out to eat to an "expensive" restaurant. I'm not saying Estia (in Mashpee) is expensive, probably about average but we usually spend less. Decided to splurge tonight. As always, the food was excellent. We ordered calamari to share and it was nice and crispy. We then shared the fig pizza which was delicious. My complaint is about the bar. When we arrived we had to wait a bit for a table so ordered a drink at the bar. $33 for two drinks, but they were good. After I finished my cocktail I ordered wine at the table. They give you a choice of two different sizes for a glass, or a bottle price. I ordered the bigger glass which is supposed to be 9 ounces. Now, their glasses are large and wide at the bottom. But there is no way that glass had 9 ounces. It filled maybe 1/8 of the glass. When I drink at home I'm pretty careful. I measure out the ounces for say a vodka and soda. So when we got home I measured what 9 ounces would be in a large wine glass. Comparing, there is no way that Estia served me nine ounces. Maybe 6 or 7. So that is my only complaint, since I paid $19 for it. read more

Just left the restaurant. Stopped by for a late lunch. My wife had a Greek salad. Salad had lots of lettuce and a small amount of cukes and tomato's. Ok but was over $20 We share a pizza. A Greek pizza with shrimp. Super salty and awful shrimp. Certainly not fresh. They offered to give us something else and we ordered a gyro with lamb. I tasted the lamb... it was just bad. Understand I know lamb. It's my favorite red meat. And the fries were greasy so I couldn't eat them. We left, off to find a place for lunch. By the way, a very nice waitress. They recently took over a neighboring store front in Mashpee Commons and expanded the footprint of the restaurant. The food is always expertly prepared and I'm partial to their pizza, salmon, lamb burger, salads and appetizers including the creamy & tart tzatziki. Regrettably, with the remodel, they neglected to install soundproofing so it was nearly impossible to hear the conversation of my table mates. When I looked up, I realized there was an open corrugated ceiling as found in the big box stores which may work in that application, but not in a restaurant. Hang some audio baffles, or spray the ceiling with sound-arresting foam. The wait staff is friendly and hard-working; however, we had to wait quite a while after the check was delivered to render payment. Think I'll stick to take out or lunch at the Mashpee location. Was really looking for some great Greek food... didn't find it here. The Greek salad was just a pile of greens with two cucumbers and a teaspoon of Greek dressing. Everything was very unimaginative. The Kebobs were lackluster as well as all the entree salads we shared. By far the most "meh" was the chicken gyro... on a cold, thick pita, watery tomatoes and dry, unflavored chicken. This place is the Panera of Greek delicacy. The hostess was RUDE when we asked to be seated at a different table (literally we and two other parties were the only people there! This place is one of my favorites! The menu has something for everyone. I prefer the Greek dishes from the wide variety of appetizers, the Avgolemono Soup and Moussaka or anything with lamb. Their dirty martini with a freshly feta stuffed pepperochini is the best idea/ one of best martinis I have ever had. I've had take-out from Estia before, but today was the first time in-person. Had lunch with my mother and her partner. Fantastic! The octopus and lamb lollipops were amazing, perfectly seasoned and came with just enough of the respective sauces. Maria was our server and she was phenomenal! So friendly and she gave us space, which is always nice versus the overbearing service you may get at other restaurants. Sorry, I had to We waited 2 hours for our food 2 salads, a pizza, risotto, and a sampler of some kind We didn't eat the dolmas the platter came with The risotto was just rice that was super bland The pizza was good but not worth the wait And the salads were also just ok So we called at 7 to order we were told 30 min We get there at 7:40pm the line for take out at this place is looking fierce. I decided to wait inside after being seated about 30 min with no complaints I figured they were slammed busy even though it was a week day. Ok after 45 minutes my sister in law decides to come from the car to ask about our order. They tell her it'll be just a few more min. Okay..... 20 minutes later she's back from the car asking about or food again as I'm still seated inside. By this time I heard 2 customers ask for their money back because they'd been waiting for 40 minutes in their car outside, double parked. By this time it's 830 and my family is calling asking where are we? So after almost falling asleep inside I decide to go to the car there we waited an additional 25 min it's almost 9pm the sun has come and gone and we are still left clueless. Uh oh, my mother in law and my partner are calling the restaurant telling them we want a refund and we want the food because by this time on cape cod all of the good food is starting to close down and basically a burger and fries is all that's really available after 9 in the area that she lives in. They're mad because if the employees at Estia would have told us sorry it's going to be an hour++ for your pizza we could have taken our businesses elsewhere. So they call from the house, my sister is calling from the car, and she's kinda being passive at this point. I don't like when people get an attitude with the people making my food so I just chose to be a good ol' patient gal. She told the lady if the food isn't out in ten min we want a refund. This all could have been avoided if the kitchen would have just communicated with the front of house staff on a REAL time. We didn't mind waiting, but at home. Like why tell us 30 mins just to have us sitting in the cluster of other cars waiting. We would've just left the house later to come pick it up vs. having us sit there in the humidity, getting bit my mosquitos in the car. Like who wants to spend over an hour in the car when we were staying 13 min away? Rhetorical question... yea I don't like giving one star reviews but don't tell me we're pushing your ticket to the front then tell my little sister we lost our pizza cook. Like shut down that station if you have no one to work it. Nothing was given for compensation, no discount, no desert, no real apology, not even a glass of water was offered while I waited for an hour inside, and 30 more minutes outside. The coldest part of this whole ordeal me asking "if I go to my car can you bring it? I'm parked on the corner in a grey suv at the stop sign?" The woman replies yes, then when our food is ready she calls us to tell us to come get it she'll bring it out front. Like why agree to bring our food to us if that isn't Estia's protcal? So yea non-satisfactory on several fronts. Won't be coming back for anything. Maybe if you dine in they might have some respect for your valuable time. read more

So disappointing. First let me say our server was pretty great, unfortunately the food was not. I had the sirloin steak special for $39. I ordered the steak med well with mashed potatoes instead of Cajun fries that it comes with. The meal came out with the steak laying over the mashed potatoes and I knew instantly when I pulled the steak off the potatoes this meal was in trouble. Under the steak in the potatoes was a pool of blood. Gross, and it was telling me the steak was not med well like I has asked for. Our server never checked in to see how the steak was so I never told her how rare it was. Secondly, the steak was soooo fatty. I ate less than half the steak as I just couldn't pretend to like the feeling of fat and blood in my mouth.
