Their dirty martini with a freshly feta stuffed pepperochini is the best idea/ one of best martinis I have ever had. The feta is so fresh it just seeps into the liquor and makes it all salty and cheesy. So good! Never had a bad dish here, authentic and delish. Looking forward to going back. read more

Sorry, I had to We waited 2 hours for our food 2 salads, a pizza, risotto, and a sampler of some kind We didn't eat the dolmas the platter came with The risotto was just rice that was super bland The pizza was good but not worth the wait And the salads were also just ok So we called at 7 to order we were told 30 min We get there at 7:40pm the line for take out at this place is looking fierce. I decided to wait inside after being seated about 30 min with no complaints I figured they were slammed busy even though it was a week day. Ok after 45 minutes my sister in law decides to come from the car to ask about our order. They tell her it'll be just a few more min. Okay..... 20 minutes later she's back from the car asking about or food again as I'm still seated inside. By this time I heard 2 customers ask for their money back because they'd been waiting for 40 minutes in their car outside, double parked. By this time it's 830 and my family is calling asking where are we? So after almost falling asleep inside I decide to go to the car there we waited an additional 25 min it's almost 9pm the sun has come and gone and we are still left clueless. Uh oh, my mother in law and my partner are calling the restaurant telling them we want a refund and we want the food because by this time on cape cod all of the good food is starting to close down and basically a burger and fries is all that's really available after 9 in the area that she lives in. They're mad because if the employees at Estia would have told us sorry it's going to be an hour++ for your pizza we could have taken our businesses elsewhere. So they call from the house, my sister is calling from the car, and she's kinda being passive at this point. I don't like when people get an attitude with the people making my food so I just chose to be a good ol' patient gal. She told the lady if the food isn't out in ten min we want a refund. This all could have been avoided if the kitchen would have just communicated with the front of house staff on a REAL time. We didn't mind waiting, but at home. Like why tell us 30 mins just to have us sitting in the cluster of other cars waiting. We would've just left the house later to come pick it up vs. having us sit there in the humidity, getting bit my mosquitos in the car. Like who wants to spend over an hour in the car when we were staying 13 min away? Rhetorical question... yea I don't like giving one star reviews but don't tell me we're pushing your ticket to the front then tell my little sister we lost our pizza cook. Like shut down that station if you have no one to work it. Nothing was given for compensation, no discount, no desert, no real apology, not even a glass of water was offered while I waited for an hour inside, and 30 more minutes outside. The coldest part of this whole ordeal me asking "if I go to my car can you bring it? I'm parked on the corner in a grey suv at the stop sign?" The woman replies yes, then when our food is ready she calls us to tell us to come get it she'll bring it out front. Like why agree to bring our food to us if that isn't Estia's protcal? So yea non-satisfactory on several fronts. Won't be coming back for anything. Maybe if you dine in they might have some respect for your valuable time. read more

I've had take-out from Estia before, but today was the first time in-person. Had lunch with my mother and her partner. Fantastic! The octopus and lamb lollipops were amazing, perfectly seasoned and came with just enough of the respective sauces. Maria was our server and she was phenomenal! So friendly and she gave us space, which is always nice versus the overbearing service you may get at other restaurants. If you visit the Mashpee store, ask to be seated with Maria :) Very much looking forward to going again soon. read more

So disappointing. First let me say our server was pretty great, unfortunately the food was not. I had the sirloin steak special for $39. I ordered the steak med well with mashed potatoes instead of Cajun fries that it comes with. The meal came out with the steak laying over the mashed potatoes and I knew instantly when I pulled the steak off the potatoes this meal was in trouble. Under the steak in the potatoes was a pool of blood. Gross, and it was telling me the steak was not med well like I has asked for. Our server never checked in to see how the steak was so I never told her how rare it was. Secondly, the steak was soooo fatty. I ate less than half the steak as I just couldn't pretend to like the feeling of fat and blood in my mouth. Considering the price for this meal, the nasty steak, and the severely under seasoned food, I will not be back. read more

I like the food and atmosphere but the manager was really frustrating. We were on a wait list but seats at bar opened up. They were reserved! It turns out the bar manager takes names and you have to tell her you want a seat. The hostess (nice) told us it was open seating but that's incorrect. Then the manager seriously suggested that we should know that bar seats are reserved, the hostess was new (threw her under the bus), & we should always put your name in with a bartender for a seat.I doubt the elderly couple getting martinis next to me knew that! It sounds like the bar mgr seats her friends, locals, and good tippers. We politely got a table when it opened up but the whole "insider knowledge" made me angry. read more

I've been here two times now and it was very good both times. Estia has a modern, clean atmosphere that feels welcoming. We ordered the lamb sliders both times and LOVED them. Nice restaurant but the food was horrible. My son ordered the Ribeye medium and came out well done and barely edible. Asked our server to send the steak back but was told since we took a bite out of it we can't send it back. Tried to explain to her we didn't noticed how overcooked it was until he TRIED to take a bite out of it but she wouldn't listen and walked away. My wife order the steak kebab but the vegetables on the steak kebab was badly burnt and meat was very tough. I ordered the lamb gyro which the description said "thinly sliced roast of lamb". What I got was chopped up cubes of bland lamb on a soggy pita bread. There are better restaurants around and I would avoid Estia unless you enjoy disappointment and frustrations. read more

Been there twice after work (in work clothes) after work once with sisters and the other with girlfriend and kids. After waiting for close to an hour standing in lobby watching other people with same number of people in party, We left. We changed to Italian restaurant where the hospitality was the way Greek should have been. My sisters and I are full blooded Greek and never been treated as badly as we were there. Called to make a reservation and was informed that they didn't take them. we showed up and got on a list and waited for a text to let us know. they have a small waiting area next to the bar that was packed. the bar was packed. The only way to get a drink is way in the corner of the waiting area. we weren't in a rush so no problem. one hour and 15 minutes later the hostess comes over to get us and we received the text letting us know our table was ready. The hostess notices another group that came in long after we did and says I'm sorry but it was a mistake and then takes the other 3 to a table. We wait another 15 minutes and then I asked the hostess why they were seated before us. she said that they called in to get on the list. when I asked her why they didn't offer that to us or at least make us aware of it she got indignanot and said that I was yelling at her. At that point I explained that no I wasn't yelling, which I wasn't. I just turned away. It took another 15 minutes to get seated. one hour and 45 minutes wait. The server was excellent and the food was very good. I cannot understand how a restaurant that doesn't flip tables on a short timeframe could not have reservations. it's pure insanity. I got carry out from Estia and would recommend it! You definitely get a lot of food. The chicken skewers were good and I like that they include a vegetable skewer. I wish the veggie skewer wasn't so tomato and onion heavy, but the peppers and zucchini were delicious. There's really great side options which I appreciate. I've never received such rude service from both staff and a manager in my life. My family and I went to this restaurant for good greek food and were extremely disappointed with our treatment. My mother ordered a glass of wine at the beginning of the meal, sent it back after one sip because it tasted like it had been sitting out, and asked for a different wine. After 30 minutes we never received the wine even after our food arrived so we asked the busboy about the wine. He said they "weren't servicing us anymore". We called the waitress over, and she said that she decided not to serve us because my mother "seemed drunk" and she received a complaint from the table next to us. My mother was stone cold sober the entire meal and before it. We called the manager over and told her what had happened. She said, I wasn't there so i'll have to judge this based on what my waitress said to you (blatantly disregarding everything we had been saying to her), and followed up with "I don't know where you go before you come here". The only reason that I could imagine for my mother seeming drunk is that she and the rest of the table were laughing and enjoying their time. Perhaps a notification that the table next to us complained would have solved that problem, but our waitress took it upon herself to stop serving us entirely with no notification at all. My father told the waitress to send the check to the manager, and the manager alluded to calling the police on us if we didn't pay Go to this restaurant if you'd like to be served a bunch of bullshit. read more

Came here three times during our week-long vacation since the food was so yummy. I'm surprised to see some negative comments on the food but maybe it all depends on what people ordered. Here's what we loved: lamb chops (juicy and tender), spinach salad with grilled octopus add on (salad was perfectly lightly dressed each time and oh-so-satisfying + healthy), beet hummus, margarita pizza. Bread and olive oil that they serve at the beginning is an appetite killer; had to make myself stop stuffing my face. Servers were very nice and attentive. If I can offer a suggestion it would be to improve cocktail selection and quality. But overall I definitely recommend. Great for families and couples alike. read more

My wife and I had 2 Gyros for lunch. Now, we have had gyros in Greece and New York City. They were delicious. These were my far the worst ones we had ever had. The lamb was actually dry shavings without any seasoning. They were so dry we asked for some au jus to make it moist. It did not help. The tomatoes were just pieces that were cut from one slice and the lettuce looked like it was just one tiny leaf. The entire meal had no taste. All this pleasure cost us $44 (before tax). Never going back again! We are full time residents of the Cape and were looking forward to a great Greek meal that we could have on a frequent basis. Our waitress was abrupt and rude. She made it a point to mention what time the kitchen closed and asked if we were ready to order in a way that said "please don't order meals." If you don't want a "late" table and earn and extra tip, don't work in a restaurant. I wish we left immediately, but we didn't. While the food was fine, the service and the atmosphere really ruined the experience. Nothing like making paying customers feel unwanted by clearing out the bar and turning off the TV at 10pm on a Saturday. (Who won the baseball game anyhow? We missed the end). Speaking for a table of people who all worked in restaurants as teenagers and through our college years, we all thought the service and atmosphere was terrible. I hear Estia is opening a new location in Falmouth. Maybe they will rethink their management strategy and do a better job making customers feel welcome. It's hard to get five stars at anything, and there's very little to complain about here. The food we had was awesome, the portions were decent, and it wasn't expensive. We had pizza, a village salad, spanakopita, and a gyro. Yum! The oven is the secret! Everything that comes out of it tastes awesome, and we're looking forward to going back because of it! The only negative point is that they kept saying to us and to other customers that they had to check and see if they had certain things that were listed on the menu, which is off-putting.
