This place used to be so so so much better!! Sorry to say but the new mgmt needs to get a better handle on the business. Reservations not available for larger parties, but we took our chances on a Friday night in May. We were seated in the outdoor area -- rainy, wet, cold night, but the heaters worked fine. When the water started coming in under the enclosure, we were moved to a better location. Specialty drink menu is fun - I loved the Rusty Spoon (Manhattan adjacent) and others enjoyed the Duck Martinis. The pretzel bread stix came hot and soft. Shrimp was the Fry Basket of the day and it was excellent: large shrimp, great breading, love the cherry peppers. Fries are really good - hot and crisp. The baked scallop special was also really good. Burgers are large and everyone in our party who ordered one had to take a portion home. Fish and chips looked great. Our server was super friendly and spent a good amount of time with my 93 yr old MIL. Recommend for the food/decor and atmosphere are average at best. read more

Had dinner last night at the rock Harbor Grill. We decided we're gonna try a bunch of different things. Of course we started with the pretzel bread. It was delicious. We then went on to try a chorizo pizza as an appetizer also really good then we ordered several other dishes, including the scallops chicken wings Reuben sliders shrimp cocktail and the dates stuffed w bacon.... Everything was delicious and the service was as good as the food. Would definitely go back and try some of the other really delicious looking items on the menu. read more

We had a great impromptu meal here after a day in Provincetown on our way back to Yarmouth. The pizza is great they have a wood fired pizza oven. The waitress was super friendly and made a great drink recommendation and my drink was delish with a cute little duck floating in it. The pretzel bread to the table before hand with the honey mustard butter is magical. The outside does not show the true potential of what lies inside this restaurant it was fantastic. read more

Yes, there is a long wait for a table here, but sometimes the wait is shorter. Last week, they were right on the nose when they told us 1 hour. You can wait pretty comfortably in the foyer area, and during nicer weather, on the bench outside or on the patio tables on the side of the restaurant. Or, you can run out and shop as long as you can return within 5 minutes of getting a text that your table is ready. There is a nice covered back patio also for dining, so you have the option to eat inside or outside. Our server was very sweet and seemed to anticipate all of our needs before we even said anything. While you wait for your food, hot pretzel sticks are provided with delicious butter. We ordered buffalo chicken dip (served with wonton crisps - save some of your pretzel stick, though, because it also makes for a good dipping medium! My son ordered the prosciutto with chili oil, mozzarella, medjool dates and honey. My daughter and I split the herb crusted salmon with asparagus & fingerling potatoes, and my husband ordered the porcini crusted cod. We also had a round of the Painkillers from the bar - coconut, pineapple, orange juice and rum - the perfect summer drink and served strong! For dessert, we tried the sticky toffee pudding which was served with ice cream, whipped cream and crunchy glazed pecans. Definitely leave room for dessert! read more

Our second visit. This time our son and his wife joined us. We arrived early (before 5:49) and were seated outside (had a choice). Only negative was the exhaust from the pizza oven but we got used to it. Started with the fried pickles and peppers which were very good. My wife and I split the chic sando and special arugula, peach and burrata salad. Both were good but I think the peaches came from a can which was disappointing. Son and his wife shared the sriracha cod and a chourico pizza. They seemed to like to cod, the pizza was really spicy. They ate half and took the other half home. Ladies had peach sangria with Prosecco which they loved. Very sweet and smooth. Beers seemed a little flat to us. Server was excellent. Overall, a very good experience. Solid four stars with a menu that has something for everyone and a relaxed atmosphere. read more

I wanted to rate this 3.5. The staff was fantastic all around, which isn't all that common on the Cape during the summer. The food? Mixed bag. We had the pizza special which was absolutely fantastic. Saw this place on Yelp and I liked that their menu was creative. Walked in at 6:45pm and told it would be about a 45 min wait. We could also leave our names at the bar to eat there but we instead chose to get a drink and wait. We got a text message as soon as our table was ready and I have to say, the staff at this very busy restaurant really has great teamwork and great attitudes. Everyone was kind and pleasant even though they were working their tails off. We had dinner which was good and even though we got small plates we took some home with us. We visited during the offseason back in March during a trip to the northeast. Seating was fast for dinner, and the restaurant filled up quickly after we arrived. Great natural light throughout from the front windows, which we were seated right in front of. I didn't know I needed citrus olives in my life, but they were quite memorable! The free pretzel sticks are warm and soft, close to melt-in-your-mouth. And the cod sandwich was perfection. Perfectly fried, flaky, and flavorful, with a fresh bun and toppings. As a sucker for seafood, it's easily in my Fish Sandwich Hall of Fame. Partner was appreciative that there were some great vegetarian options, including the excellent portabella burger. Stopped by for dinner in mid-June. Nice variety on the menu. It's especially good if you have those who want seafood and those that don't. Prices were reasonable and portions were on the bigger side. 4.5. Finally went to Rock Harbor Grill and we understand why its reputation is strong. Good pizzas, wings, scallops, and a chicken wrap for our friend with a lot of dietary restrictions. Mushroom pizza is flavorful as others have said. Pizza with sausage good. We especially liked the pretzel breadsticks as a chewy surprise. Wings were okay. I've had better. Same with the scallops. But still, both were decent as selections here. Outside back patio. Beautiful setting. Well done with heat lamps and lovely plantings. Inside. Fine. Simple. Gets the job done. We preferred outside. What a great place. We had heard they didn't take reservations so we went for an early dinner (5:30). We were quickly seated on the outside covered patio. The ambience was so nice. The waitress, Monica, was lovely. She immediately took our drink orders and brought over their complimentary pretzel bread sticks with a what I believe was a maple butter (OMG). We ordered the Quahog appetizer, which was delicious. For our main courses almost everyone in the family ordered their burgers and truffle fries ! All were perfectly cooked and delicious too ! The grandchildren ordered off the children menu, macaroni and cheese and my a personal pizza with no sauce, special order. They were quite happy, even includes an ice cream cup for dessert for the kiddies! So would I recommend, without a doubt. What a great meal here! It was our first time, everyone was friendly and the restaurant was very cute. I start off with a painkiller drink which was fabulous! It did the trick! They serve amazing pretzel bread that you start off with. For appetizers, we ordered the chicken wings and the deep fried mushrooms. The chicken wings were Woodfired with a garlicky rosemary lemon coating. Really excellent. The mushrooms were amazing, with a great coating that was crunchy and perfectly seasoned. Just delicious. For entrées, we ordered the portobello burger and the rock harbor grill burger. I'm not sure which burger I like better! Both were tender and juicy, and really fresh. The Portobello had lots of onion jam and red peppers that accompanied it. The RHG Burger had a nice smoky flavor from Vermont cheddar, and was accompanied by the most amazing truffle fries that were extra crispy and perfect. We loved everything about this meal. My husband ordered one for himself the next night We shared a different wood-fired pizza each night; both of them delicious. Italian sausage with sun-dried tomato pesto, caramelized, onion, roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella, and basil. Sooooo good. Four cheese pizza with addition of pepperoni . I didn't write down the ingredients ( I know there was mozzarella and feta cheese) but it had luscious ingredients like the night before and it was just as delicious! It tasted like we were dining in a farm to table restaurant! Today it's Tuesday and the crowd was coming in for "prime rib" night. We didn't order it since we're staying in a hotel and had no refrigerator for the leftovers. We saw the table next to us with their prime rib - it took up most of the plate. We are parents in our late 30's and very early 40's. We have kids that range from 1-10 years of age. The guys like drinks, the ladies like food and the kids want dessert. Rock Harbor looked like it had what we a wanted an/or needed. We needed a reservation for 9 while in the Cape fore the weekend. I easily made a reservation over the phone and when we arrived we had no wait. Seated immediately and even had the high chair in place (Thank you!) The decor- think a classy Jimmy Buffet paradise. They had daily specials which consisted of drinks and food. They have a kids menu and a few dessert choices. as soon as you walk in you notice the pizza over and the big bar. I ordered the pear pizza. I wanted that blue cheese chunks and balsamic! Well I got the balsamic but still wanted more blue cheese! Could have laid off the arugula, walnuts and cranberries. Just a little too much but overall I like what they are doing here. At our table the guys each had the corn chowder- it was yellow, hot and the guys said it was good. The kids had pepperoni pizza. These kids- they don't know good pizza. I mean they like dominos and told me the general store pizza at our vacation spot in Maine is a 10 so their vote doesn't count. The pepperoni's curled upwards which to me is always a good sign and one of the Moms had it and said it was delicious. The guys had cod sliders and no complaints. The ice cream sundae... priced at $8 I think. Overpriced. Could be smaller as it is good enough for 1.5 kids to share. It is nothing special. My daughter had the root beer float- nice presentation and a big helping! I had the toffee pudding. The outside was a little too well done for my liking but thanks for all that caramel! Rock Harbor gets a weak 3-star review. Service was good. Overall, no one really enjoyed their meal in a party of 5 so that speaks volumes. The highly touted pizza oven churned out pizza that was burnt on the crust and mushy on the bottom. And the fish 'n chips were covered in some sort of batter goo that when fried encased the poor filet in a rubbery cocoon. Good beers but it stops there for me. read more

Best restaurant from Orleans all the way to Wellfleet. I've sampled fried clams everywhere and Rock Harbor has the best on the Cape. And they have the best pizza in the area too. Service is always incredible and so friendly. And the prices are pretty reasonable. read more

Don't be fooled by the modest venue, the food here is great. Familiar favorites get some nice updates and new and interesting items appear all the time. Big plus is a great gluten-free menu including wood fired pizzas with innovative toppings as well as the old standbys. Takeout is excellent too. The bartenders are friendly and helpful too.
