    Grapefruit duck drink
    Kate C.

We had a great impromptu meal here after a day in Provincetown on our way back to Yarmouth. The pizza is great they have a wood fired pizza oven. The waitress was super friendly and made a great drink recommendation and my drink was delish with a cute little duck floating in it. The pretzel bread to the table before hand with the honey mustard butter is magical. The outside does not show the true potential of what lies inside this restaurant it was fantastic.

Service was fast and friendly - they were so adoring of our 9 month old and happily brought out the pretzel stick basket to help we her occupied. Would recommend adding Italian sausage to the mushroom pizza - it was a delight!

Painkiller - served strong with a great medley of juices

Yes, there is a long wait for a table here, but sometimes the wait is shorter. Last week, they were right on the nose when they told us 1 hour. You can wait pretty comfortably in the foyer area, and during nicer weather, on the bench outside or on the patio tables on the side of the restaurant. Or, you can run out and shop as long as you can return within 5 minutes of getting a text that your table is ready. There is a nice covered back patio also for dining, so you have the option to eat inside or outside. Our server was very sweet and seemed to anticipate all of our needs before we even said anything. While you wait for your food, hot pretzel sticks are provided with delicious butter. We ordered buffalo chicken dip (served with wonton crisps - save some of your pretzel stick, though, because it also makes for a good dipping medium! My son ordered the prosciutto with chili oil, mozzarella, medjool dates and honey. My daughter and I split the herb crusted salmon with asparagus & fingerling potatoes, and my husband ordered the porcini crusted cod. We also had a round of the Painkillers from the bar - coconut, pineapple, orange juice and rum - the perfect summer drink and served strong! For dessert, we tried the sticky toffee pudding which was served with ice cream, whipped cream and crunchy glazed pecans. Definitely leave room for dessert!

Always so good. Service is amazing. It's a casual place and always a good option. Pizza is wood fire. Love it.

We visited during the offseason back in March during a trip to the northeast. Seating was fast for dinner, and the restaurant filled up quickly after we arrived. Great natural light throughout from the front windows, which we were seated right in front of. I didn't know I needed citrus olives in my life, but they were quite memorable! The free pretzel sticks are warm and soft, close to melt-in-your-mouth. And the cod sandwich was perfection. Perfectly fried, flaky, and flavorful, with a fresh bun and toppings. As a sucker for seafood, it's easily in my Fish Sandwich Hall of Fame. Partner was appreciative that there were some great vegetarian options, including the excellent portabella burger. There's something for everyone here -- highly recommend.

Food and service were very good. Always consistent. Menu has plenty of choice. Many staff been there a long time, always a good sign.

Ask the Community - Rock Harbor Grill

Do we need reservations for party if 2?

I would recommend it this time of year

Are they open for outdoor dining?

Yes, very nice and socially distant seating. Get there early but nice outdoor atmosphere

What the heck happened to the lobster roll here? It seemed like half the size at the same price. I used to have to take half of it home.

    Different times, different value.

According to RESY it was full until 9:00 on this Thursday in summer and that's late for me. And…read morebesides, the system didn't want to process a reservation for 1. But I stopped by midday and inquired, learning that about half the tables are first-come first-served and if I arrived around 5:15 I'd get in with no wait. A bit early but that's what I did. By 5:45 it was completely full and I heard the hostess telling arrivers of 60 minute waits. Very popular! And for good reason. La Bella Vita was as close to perfect as I've seen in some time. The hostess did some quick checking and soon found me a high top table for 4 in the semi-enclosed patio (wood stud walls, metal roof, plexiglass panels keeping out the chilly wind). There are a lot of different spaces here: the patio where I sat, the outdoor garden, or the main dining room with its table seating, the bar, and a counter and stools along a wall. So if you plan ahead and make a reservation you can have your pick. My waitress arrived soon after I was seated, brought water in a pitcher and offered bread which I appreciated. Free bread is getting less common these days unfortunately, and it was good: soft warm Italian with an herbed crust, and a bottle of olive oil and jar of grated Parmesan on the table. My drinks for the evening were one of their specials, Grapefruit Gimlet. Which I suppose is a gimlet made with grapefruit juice instead of - or in addition to - lime? It had just a hint of sweetness, good flavor, icy cold, beautiful pink color, was served in an attractive glass, and strong. My appetizer was arancini: a generous portion of 3 with a nice crunchy outside, served over plenty of good red sauce and covered with coarsely grated cheese and green parsley. The interior could have been firmer - the risotto may have been a little overcooked - but overall quite good. The highlight was without a doubt the main entree: Pork Osso Buco. It must have been a special because I don't see it on the menu now. A spectacular presentation, and enormous! The pork shank standing vertically in the center of the plate atop the mashed sweet potatoes, surrounded by a huge portion of roasted brussels sprouts. The meat was heavily herb-crusted and tender. The brussels sprouts, carefully sliced into halves, were well-browned and had just a pleasant hint of bitterness, and the sweet potato mash was a more interesting choice than the common white potatoes. They don't skimp on portion sizes here, the meat or the vegetables. I ate plenty that evening and took home enough for a large lunch the next day. My waitress was flawless. She checked on me as needed, asking how things were, knew all the answers to my several questions about the food and drinks, had good recommendations, and made me feel welcome and at home. Dessert was the Spumoni Bomba: chocolate, pistachio, and strawberry gelato inside a hard chocolate shell, served with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. Also excellent, all 3 gelatos having great flavor, the shell pleasingly crunchy and chocolatey. The whipped cream was an unnecessary addition and was slightly melty. A minor flaw for a very good dessert, and like the appetizer and entree, a size that was more than adequate. Desserts are not made in house but came from "a bakery in Boston" I was told. Even the espresso was perfect. Definitely a place to return to. There's a large menu including many of the Italian standards - pastas, meat, poultry, and seafood entrees, and pizzas. Plenty of things to choose from. They don't make the pasta in house but I'll forgive them for that.

Not dog friendly anymore…read more We've come here a bunch of times with our dog and would be able to sit outside and have a few drinks. We always had a pleasant experience and respected the rules of the brewery to stay outside with our dog. Yesterday, we came by around 3 p.m. and it was relatively quiet with lots of empty seating outside. When we went to sit at a table, a waitress told us they had a designated dog area to the side at two broken tables in the sun and that we could not sit at any of the shaded tables. She also told us we could not order food with our dog there. We asked if we could move an umbrella over so we wouldn't have to sit in the sun--the waitress said she would ask and then never came back. When we realized no one was going to help, we asked a second time and were told there was no way to give us shade, so we left. It was disappointing as we liked coming here but it felt like they were deliberately trying to make dog owners uncomfortable and unwelcome. I'd recommend going elsewhere if you are looking for a relaxing afternoon at a brewery.
