This place serves substandard trash. The Mac and cheese was merely just some elbow's slapped on the bread. The BBQ pulled pork was just some pulled pork with cappella tomato soup. If you have a dog or stray animal that's hungry order from this place. Being an Executive Chef for 25 years I can tell what garbage this is. They should close down after this season. read more

We had dinner here and the food was amazing, Lane and Donnie the owners, were very kind and inviting. The establishment was very clean. The ambience was cosey and relaxed. I would definitely recommend the restaurant to others especially if you are looking for delicious grilled cheese and tomato Basel soup. read more

So yummy!!! I love that it came with a tomato sauce soup thing and another sauce to dip in. I got a night in amdterdam and when I tell you the cheese pull was incredible. Like the best I have ever seen. So gooey so good. Top of the line for a quick lunch and the workers were so kind! Love the outdoor seating and I'm not sure if they have a bathroom around back but I think you probably have to go to the jfk museum. So crazy tasty. Idk what the other sauce was but I liked that and the tomato soup stuff. 10/10. read more

Randomly decided to stop here for dinner. Everyone was very very nice and helpful deciding what we wanted. The food was amazing. We tried multiple grilled cheeses - all were excellent. Ordered a BLT from the Kalmus Beach location. I wish a took a photo. It was $12 for toasted sourdough, 2 slices of melted government or Kraft singles cheese, 1 tiny piece of Romaine lettuce, about 3 little pieces of diced tomatoes and about a quarter of a piece of bacon. Did I eat it? Yes. Was it horrible, also yes. Seemed like nice people running it though. read more

Perfect addition to downtown Hyannis! Six of us stopped for a quick outdoor lunch (no indoor seating) and these grilled cheeses were ootw! I got the Pimp Daddy. Mac and Cheese with bacon in a grilled cheese sandwich. My kids got the Mac Daddy. Same as above but no bacon. We were all in agreement. Ok, but not great. Here's the thing: If I can make something at home that's better than the restaurant specialty, then I can't give a glowing review. And I'm a below-average cook who can only do straight-forward dishes. But I can make better Mac and Cheese at home and I can make better grilled cheese. So for $10 - $12, this is not good value at all. Again, not a bad sandwich, but I can make better at home for 20% the cost. This is a 2-star place, but because it's a bit unique and creative in concept, I'll give it three stars. read more

This place was phenomenal. The grilled cheese was delicious, perfectly sized, and plated beautifully. I got the Asian Cowboy and it was probably the best grilled cheese I've had in a decade. It was also beatifully plated! We also got an order of Poutine which was as good as any I've had in Wisconsin, and a salad which was perfectly dressed and delicious. The service was prompt and friendly, and it is wicked convenient right on Main Street. This place has really great food, and a quick turnaround from the time you order. The only thing that kept the grilled cheese gallery from getting a five star review is the fact that their hours do not correspond with the hours they are actually open. In the off-season, they list that they're open when some days they aren't and other days they close early. Aside from that, I highly recommend trying any of their poutine dishes, they are huge, great bang for your buck, and absolutely delicious. We tried to eat here tonight but they don't have their prices posted anywhere...not the website, facebook, instagram not even the in-house menus had prices. It was very uncomfortable, I don't want to order a grilled cheese price unseen and end up paying $16 for cheese and bread. That said I also don't want to sit there and ask the prices of every item menu...their failure to be transparent cost them a party of six tonight. read more

The Grilled Cheese Gallery served the best grilled cheese sandwich I have ever had. My husband and I ordered the lobster grilled cheese. For $25.00, I would have liked more lobster meat but, as I said, it was absolutely delicious. My daughter dropped half of her kids grilled cheese (by accident). Great food amazing service from Chad some of the best tomato soup we've ever had chef Bobby (black suit) told us he makes it fresh every morning and you can tell. They make their own lavender lemonade and it's not too sweet and is amazing. The decorations are something else gives a nice cozy feel when eating one of the best grilled cheese I've had. read more

I was intrigued walking down the sidewalk seeing Grilled cheese restaurant. Had to look at menu and thought why not try one. Had the Southern belle and was pleasantly surprised how delicious this was. The sour dough bread was really good. Blah. Ordered country girl grilled cheese which is Mac n cheese, chicken, chipotle, and a couple of cheeses. It was blah. The Mac and cheese lacked flavor. Tasted like a box Mac n cheese and together with the chipotle and chicken was not good. Also ordered poutine fries which were swimming in gravy. Fries were soggy because of all the gravy. Was excited to get poutine but I will just wait to head to Maine or Canada for good poutine. Don't waste your money read more

So. Imagine this. You've spent the day with family (love em), but they've all gone to bed and your tummy is on west coast time. You're in a strange city and hungry. I search for, restaurants open near me. This gem pops up, looks amazing. Get in the car, get directions, find parking, walk a few blocks, the anticipation is growing. Yay!!! Can't wait to tell my grilled cheese loving friends about this score:) Till, they were closed :( hours indicated they should still be open. There was what appeared to be an employee sitting on the bench outside. And it was closed closed closed, no one still cleaning up, no lights on, no sign of any life :( So. We were looking for a quick bite to eat and this place seemed to fit the bill. Great place for eating quickly outside (or slowly) on a nice day. We got the house salad, lobster poutine, lavender lemonades and tomato basil soups. We were pleasantly surprised with the fresh tomato basil soup. The house salad was perfectly dressed with toasted bread for croutons and the lobster poutine was really delicious. The poutine was a little heavy on the gravy but the chipotle sauce they added gave it a slight kick which I liked. We didn't look for indoor seating but it would probably be nice to have some on days with not so nice weather. Definitely will try to go back and try their sandwiches someday. read more

Went here on a little 3 day weekend trip to Hyannis, came in for lunch. Got the Duchess, fantastic. Fresh lobster, with just enough lobster taste in the grilled cheese, not too overpowering with seafoody-ness. The cheese was stringy, and pully, the bread was crisp and not mushy. Fries were good too. The tomato sauce with the balsamic reduction, was perfect for dipping. Friendly service as well, the chef came outside where we were seated to ask us how it was. Came for lunch. We summer in Hyannis and have tried all of the restaurants in this area. We were so disappointed by the size of The Artist sandwich. Grilled cheese with mushrooms for $11. This came on wheat bread, 2 slices of store bought size. A small dipping pot of tomato soup (tasted like marinara sauce). Just much too expensive. And also covered all over in balsamic sauce which is so irritating. We also had the classic poutine which I did like, but my Hubbie thought the fries should've been thicker and less crispy and I thought the cheese was much too melted. In Montreal the curds are not melted away into the gravy. Also it took about 15-20 mins to arrive when we were the only customers - I expected quicker. My first glass of vinho verde wine was served at room temperature (the second was fine), and the side plate I was given was crusted with dried food residue. I also watched an employee behind the bar wipe her nose with her hand and then continue slicing citrus barehanded. The chicken empanadas were good but not particularly special. We also had one of the small pizzas, which was the best thing of the night, crispy and flavorful (with a little char at the edges, which we like). The decor is a little bananas (different shades of green between the walls, the napkins, the barstools, and the banquettes; five kinds of lighting fixtures; lots of sound and lighting items with exposed, hasty-looking wiring). The bathroom door doesn't really close and lock properly. And the restaurant is really loud, even half full. The writing on the menu, about family members and special recipes, tells me that there's pride here and real care about making a good restaurant. However, without the attention to detail (particularly cleanliness and hygiene!), that's kind of moot. Three stars instead of two here because the pizza was good and the staff obviously care about customers.

OPEN FOR BUSINESS NOW 2020. The Grilled Cheese Gallery is amazing! Their food is out of this world! The poutine is also very good, the way they cook the fries is perfect for the dish. I most recently had 'The Playboy' while my mom had 'The Southern Belle'. All the sandwiches come with a 'dipper' of Tomato Basil Soup which was also amazing. We are locals and this is our first time trying it, even though this is their fourth summer on Cape! We had no idea and just discovered the place and have been raving about it since and can't wait to go back again! The service is excellent. They were so very kind and happy to serve up their dishes! The food came out in a timely manner. Yes, the prices are a bit more expensive than your average grilled cheese, but this is not an average grilled cheese place. Worth every penny! read more

The Mac and cheese sandwiches were scrumptious and the server gave us a complimentary order of fries due to the wait (high demand due to amazing food and courteous service led to a slight backup) The staff was very friendly and helpful. We look forward to Grilled Cheese Gallery every year when visiting the Cape! Great food and ambiance in the outdoor seating. On the day we went this year, Lane was staffing the register and grill by himself, working solo unexpectedly, and did an amazing job! He was organized, surprisingly calm, reassuring to customers that he'd be right with them, and kept the food quality exactly as expected as he turned out food as quickly as possible. This place was totally amazing! The staff was friendly, outgoing, and very passionate about their product and business. Driving up Main Street in Hyannis there are a ton of places you can eat. I can tell you, you will NOT be disappointed if you choose the Grilled Cheese Gallery. Everything is homemade and made fresh daily. The presentation is different for everyone who orders to add a little personal flair. What a hidden gem half way up the Cape!!! read more

i have been coming here since they opened in 2017! they are my favorite place in the whole world and i wait very patiently for them to open every year. the owner, cook and all of the staff are over the top polite and amazing! i would recommend the southern belle, or a pimp daddy poutine! everything is equally amazing as the next. i also recommend this place to everyone i know. i go at least once a week:) 10/10 read more

The staff was friendly and greeted us immediately. Recommended the lavender lemonade, which is absolutely delicious and refreshing... especially on a hot day! We ordered the duchess, which is the grilled cheese with lobster... the best grilled cheese I've ever had!! The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was very entertaining. I eat grilled cheese almost every week and all i gotta say is this is one of the best grilled cheeses ever to touch my tongue 10/10 i will for real drive 4 hours from home to eat a grilled cheese here again. The staff were very welcoming and chill i guess the kids say these days! And the seating is like regular ol seating for an outdoor restaurant so nothing to complain there either. 100/100 no misses. read more

Amazing sandwiches. The Duke sandwich is so delicious. I placed my order to go and it came out in under 5 minutes. It was decorated with a beautiful balsamic glaze and garnishes. I appreciated the two different sauces and the very filling serving size of the sandwich. The lavender lemonade was nice and refreshing. Glitter ice cubes are such a neat special touch! read more

Most creative and delicious Mac n cheese grilled cheese! Tried the Mac Daddy, country boy with bbq pork and the Duke with lobster. All incredibly crafted. Came with a special sauce and tomato soup dipper. We also had to try the Poutine with curds and gravy. Don't be shy, it was hearty and filling! Wash it down with lavender lemonade. Perfect spot on Main Street Hyannis. Shaded seating area makes for a comfortable lunch out of the sun. Staff is very friendly and cooperative with their customers too. My favorite is the queen Brie. The owner is wonderful to local employees/ employers. I love this place! read more

The pizza itself has a light, crispy, slightly burnt crust, which some will complain about, but others will pay dearly for at a pseudo "authentic" woodfired pizza ristorante (those places are never called pizzarias). The toppings are all fresh, (I had a ten inch "Jack's Special") although the cheese is on the heavy side, it's a good thing because it's in proportion to the sauce, and kudos to Jack's for not jacking up the sauce with sugar. Jack's Lounge-the lounge part-is a bar, and there are people drinking beer and other things, which adds to the vibe. Complain all you want about the slower "service," because there is only one waitperson, but be thankful for the great pizza and the unpretentious, unchanged environment. Wherever you live, how sad is it that this restaurant that you went to for twenty years or that bar that was there forever didn't survive the pandemic? There is a reason that Jack's did, and it's not because the owners necessarily have deep pockets. Go, before someone buys the place out and puts an Arby's there.

My sandwich of chicken salad with nuts and cranberries was LOADED with mayo and the chicken was shredded so it had no taste. The owner was nice and friendly and the sub roll was yummy.
