Dr. Pavi and her staff are amazing! My son's tooth was bothering him, so I called Dr. Pavi's office on the weekend to leave a message as I knew they were closed, however the office staff answered and got us in first thing in the morning that Tuesday when they reopened. That was impressive in itself, but 30 minutes later I received a call from Dr. Pavi herself who wanted to check in and make sure my son was not in pain and didn't need a prescription for an infection or anything else. I was not expecting that kind of care at all and was so thankful to her for reaching out. A few months ago, I broke my porcelain crown after eating a refrigerated peanut M&M. Instead of contacting my regular dentist (it takes forever to get an appointment), I decided to find a different dentist using Yelp. Because of all the positive Yelp reviews, I decided to go with Astra Dental. Instead of operating on me right away, Dr. P performed a deep cleaning below my gums due to receding gums from brushing too crazy over the years. In a way, breaking my crown was a blessing in disguise.With the deep cleaning and special mouthwash ($40), my gum numbers have gotten a lot better! A few weeks later, I was given a temporary crown, and had to wait a week before I could receive the new one. Over the weekend, I had accidentally broken my temporary crown multiple times. Since Astra Dental is not open during the weekends, I had to use denture cream to secure my temporary crown in place until Tuesday rolled around. They were able to see me right away on Tuesday and gave me a new temporary crown. Overall, Dr. P and Martha (her assistant) did a wonderful job with my new crown. It fits properly, and I can finally floss without any problems. I highly recommend this place because they are patient people who are willing to put up with me. They had to stop several times during some of the procedures because I was on the verge of barfing and needed to drink my bottled water. I have a phobia of visiting the dentist, but their patience and professionalism makes me want to come back in the future. read more

I have been searching for a dentist for years now and finally have settled with Dr. Pavi. I had pain in the bottom half of the right side of my mouth and my brother referred me to Astra Dental. I called and tried to book an appointment and even though the next available appointment was in a few weeks, Dr. Pavi made me a priority and contacted me each time a spot opened up that was earlier than my appointment. The location is great and is sort of on a residential street, so parking wasn't too difficult. Upon arriving to my appointment, I was seen immediately. I didn't have to wait in the waiting room at all. After taking a look at my teeth, Dr. Pavi said I do not have to worry about the pain (which to me, showed that she's honest and conservative about procedures, she's not just a dentist trying to take your money). However, she did recommend a deep clean and fillings. Dr. Pavi pointed out that my 2 front teeth were fractured which I didn't even realize! We cleaned all four quadrants of my mouth in that one appointment which was nice since because then I didn't need to come back and forth. It was last minute, but Dr. Pavi made the time for me. My teeth were SO WHITE!! I was extremely happy. Then that same day, she booked another appointment two days later for my fillings -- so fast and convenient! I got fillings for my cavities and fractured teeth today and my smile has never looked or felt better. Dr. Pavi and her assistant Maria were very kind and made it such an enjoyable and easy experience. They are a little short-staffed at the moment with their office manager out on leave, but you would not have even known because the place still ran smoothly and efficiently. They both know what they're doing. They are so helpful with every question I had and made sure I was comfortable with every step along the way. Thank you Dr. Pavi! BEST DENTIST IN TOWN! I LOOOVE Dr. L she is sooo patient, before coming to Astra Dental I've had some pretty horrible experiences with the dentist in the past. I had this huge phobia when it came to the dentist. I mentioned to Dr. L I rather have another baby without drugs than to have someones hands in my mouth, yeah my phobia was pretty intense. She made sure I was very comfortable and whenever I wasn't she stopped to make sure I was okay. When I had to get my wisdom teeth (4 total) removed back in Nov 2012, I was beyond terrified! I mean some crazy thoughts were running through my head, but Dr. L help put those worries aside. Three days post surgery I had pain and it was over the weekend I had called Dr. L, left a message, she returned my call in less that 10 minutes, talked to me and calmed my worries and this was after hours. She was even willing to come in. My experience at Astra Dental has changed my entire attitude towards the dentist. Dr. Lohitakshan is a consummate professional. My husband complained of tooth pain for weeks before going to see Dr. L. She has a background in oral surgery and went the extra mile to figure out what was going on. Lo and behold, it was a bone spicule underneath his gum. She promptly removed it and cleaned out the area, and he was on his way. He said she was professional, caring and incredibly thorough. He's normally terrified of the dentist but we heard great things about Dr. L from a friend and decided to try out Astra Dental. I'm so glad we did! BEWARE! This dentist office is horribly unprofessional both in the office (billing) and the work done. The dentist has left me with pain that has lasted over a year now. The dentist's work is incredibly painful (worst pain I have ever had from a dentist), and two of the three fillings put in, fell out within 6months of having them done (one within a few weeks)! They charge you for everything they can, and then some. I was NEVER scared of going to the dentist until I went here. After seeing this dentist, I even decided to try getting a filling done with NO shots because I was so afraid it would hurt as bad as it did when Dr. L did it. read more

The minute I walked in I felt relieved Dr L is amazing she first accessed the problem looked at my teeth and found out I had root canal infection on a crown that I had done 6 years ago. I love my dentist. Dr. McMaster treats me like a real person, listens to me and clearly answers any questions I have. She's a pleasure to talk to any time I go in for a checkup. I mean, she does need me to stop talking periodically so she can do the actual dental work at hand here. I don't want anyone to think that there's some sort of wizardry going on where I get my teeth worked on while talking.
