I was extremely dissatisfied with my evening there tonight. The older blonde woman working the door and taking the money was rude and short. Then, I find out that it costs 10 per person, per hour, to play pool. So, the five of us would have to choke up 50 dollars to play on a single pool table. Then, I had to run to the car to get cash, and they charged me five dollars to get back as their was "no readmittance" which they failed to tell me when I left. It's been a little while since I felt a place was so hostile and cold. I would never choose to return.

Not the best music venue in town. For starters, the venue is small and even smaller when they have two large pool tables on the floor during concerts. Drink wise, the selection is minimal but the prices are reasonable so it's really a wash. Sound levels are usually good, but security is practically non existent which makes for a somewhat unpleasant experience if it's a too rowdy crowd. Also, the worst part is the no re-entry policy. Smoking is allowed, but since smokers cant re-enter and there's no designated smoke area, the place just fills up with second hand smoke. For the right band sometimes you have to suck it up and see them at a smaller venue which is why I've been to this venue a few times in the past, but I really hope they change a few of their policies to make it a more enjoyable experience for all attendees.

With the lack of small venues featuring Rock music in Las Vegas Backstage Bar & Billiards is a breath of fresh air. Tired of seeing your favorite indy act reduced to thirty minutes at a festival with fifty other artists for $199? Check out the line-up including a recent visit from The Appleseed Cast and an upcoming show from Cursive. Easy in and out, plenty of close parking and tons of local eateries like Carson Kitchen nearby plus excellent acoustics - can't really ask for more.

We got comedy tickets and we're looking forward to the show. Our ticket said to arrive at 7:30 for an 8 PM start time. When we arrived at 7:30 The facility was not ready for an 8 PM show. We were told to come back at 8:30 PM. We happily complied, and when we got back at 8:30 there was a long line. We happily waited and looked forward to the comedy. When we finally got in to the facility at approximately 850. There was absolutely zero seating. Seating is on a first come first serve basis and it is in short supply. At approximately 9pm they said the show would be starting soon. At 9:15 I was told the show was starting any minute. The people in the crowd were growing anxious. While waiting I ordered a water and a Coca-Cola. It cost $8. When I was done enjoying my $8 Coke and water we left. The show had yet to begin. And who knows if it ever did. In short the place has a cool vibe but obviously the staff is unorganized and they are not prepared for the size of crowd they had in. Too bad!

Went to see Black Marble on Wednesday night. Yelp said they are closed on Wednesday, but I believe that they just opened for a special event? not sure. It was a small lounge/bar. They had a bar inside so I could grab my drink and enjoyed my show. First time at this location, but a great experience. (Since it is also billiards, the smell of cigarettes could bother you if you are a non-smoker. I had a really hard time but I was fine after 30 min or so).

I like the layout of the Backstage, Bar & Billiards, but I'm not really sure what they're going for; is it a live concert venue or pool hall? I was here last Saturday and just decided to pop-in for a bit to check out the place. They were charging $5 at the door, but if you're playing pool you get in for free, how do they regulate that?..."Ummm, yeah. I'm here to play pool", I told the door guy. As I walked in and looked around the first thing I noticed was the decor; Led Zeppelin framed tour-shirts, a lot of label issued gold records on the walls, and the use of road-cases as stools surrounding the bar, these looked cool although I can't imagine them being too comfortable after awhile. They also had Limp Bizkit and House of Pain stuff everywhere and this almost garnered a two star review. But after doing some homework I found out that one of the co-founders of the BBB used to be the DJ in these two bands...or something. The drinks were strong and fairly inexpensive by Vegas standards. The place was pretty empty and the band was still setting up, so I decided to play some pool after all. The cost $10 an hour so depending on how good you are; this is either a great deal or highway robbery, I'm somewhere in between. My GF and I played pool for a while and watched a few of the local bands performing that night. I might have just been here on a off night, but the crowd felt very young and almost "high school cliquey". A lot of "kids" were running around to each group and whispering stuff? I don't know what was going on here. After our hour of pool was up we decided to call it a night at BBB and said our farewells. The staff here was great, the drinks were strong and the venue has a cool look, but I'll definitely have to come back when they have bigger acts playing. Maybe a few more booties in the door and a couple more shots of whiskey will liven this place up next time.

We were in town to attend the BTS concert on May 23, so this was a last-minute decision. As such, there were only five seats remaining for the May 24 performance. I ended up with two non-adjacent seats in Section 204 for a total of $831.85, purchased through TIcketmaster. We dined at Caramá by Wolfgang Puck, which is close to the House of Blues. We left the restaurant at 6:30pm, thinking we'd walk right in as our tickets "said" 7pm. Instead, we found a long line of patrons winding around the venue, almost to the escalators to the tram station. There was a sign stating that doors open at 7, performance at 8:10pm. Sheesh, had we known this, we could have taken our time in Caramá. After passing through security, we could go to the merch line or into the Music Hall. We opted for the merch line, where we picked up a t-shirt and a bag of guitar picks. Entry to the Music Hall requires walking down a set of stairs to the floor level and then up several sets of stairs to get to the upper level. Section 204 is accessed by walking down from the upper-level aisle. My friend went down to row B, seat 14, which was the aisle seat on her row. I was three rows back, in seat 12, the third seat in from the aisle. Each seat gave us unobstructed views of the stage down below. I really liked sitting in the upper level ... I think we had better views of the musicians than those sitting on the floor. There is a bar at the front of each side of the upper level of the Music Hall so one could get a drink without having to go back downstairs. Each did brisk business throughout the evening. Carlos and his 8-member band played for two hours. He took very little or no time between songs, but he did chat with the audience on two occasions. During this performance, he had a second keyboardist (I didn't catch his name) to the right of guitarist Tommy Anthony. His drummer, Cindy Blackman Santana, is a whirlwind ... She played nonstop during the evening with explosive power and energy. She was amazing! I really enjoyed his concert, maybe a bit more than the BTS concert the night before. Sacrilege? No, Santana has been active for sixty years. He is legendary ...It was a "not to be missed" opportunity to experience one of my heroes growing up. On a personal note: Carlos used a PRS Private Stock 24-fret McCarty Singlecut Trem with 23k gold leaf applied over the maple top. It's a stunning piece of art. PRS made twenty copies in 2016 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Private Stock team. Alas, I want one! If you have an opportunity to see Carlos Santana, do it! The Music Hall in the House of Blues is a perfect venue to experience a legend. Highly recommended!

Originally when I first started coming here, parking was a huge issue on my mind and it definitely made me come here less, before I discovered that you could get parking validated at the little shop before you leave and that was a total game changer. The venue itself is pretty massive once you get on the main floor, and if you don't feel like standing during bands you don't care for, you can even chill on some nice chairs and watch on TV screens. Now, I can't actually comment on the bowling or food aspect of this place, but you can bowl for an insane amount of money that is definitely not worth it, as well as order some food which I simply never bothered to do. Throughout the years I've seen artists such as Poppy, The Gaslight Anthem, The Ghost Inside, Hatebreed, and many others and the sound here has always been pretty top notch. To top it off, I asked how big the brisket sandwich was, and his response was, "I don't know... a sandwich." Seriously? That's your answer? So while my entire family was eating, I was sitting there with nothing. When my mom asked where my food was, Antonio said he thought I didn't want it because I had responded, "Okay, that's fine," when I asked about the size of the sandwich. That wasn't me saying I didn't want it--I was simply acknowledging his answer. Instead of admitting he misunderstood and apologizing for not putting my order in, he argued with me and insisted that's what I meant. A server going back and forth with a customer over his own mistake is completely unacceptable. At that point, I asked to speak to a manager. The manager was actually great and did everything he could to fix the situation. He admitted that Antonio has been a problem and immediately had my food rushed out, and even took it off our bill. I genuinely appreciate the manager for trying to make things right because he handled the situation professionally. Unfortunately, by then the experience had already been ruined because of Antonio. One thing that made this whole experience even more ironic was that the employees were wearing shirts that said, "Be Nice or Leave." Maybe Antonio should take his own workplace's advice. If anyone needed to "leave," it was him. That attitude has no place in hospitality, and if that's how he treats paying customers, he shouldn't be representing House of Blues. I work in the Forum Shops myself, and I would never treat a customer the way Antonio treated us. Hospitality is about making guests feel welcome, not making rude comments, arguing with customers, and acting like they're an inconvenience. Antonio was rude, snarky, dismissive, and looked miserable the entire time. I honestly don't think someone with that attitude should be working in customer service. This was, without a doubt, the worst service I've ever experienced.
