When is my install?? October 28,2021 I called and scheduled an INSTALL of the new fiber. The INSTALL was scheduled for today November 8 between 9am- 11am I got a dozen texts CONFIRMING my INSTALL- even got one that said the INSTALL could take up to 4 hours. Today the tech and a sales guys show up - not here even 30 minutes to tell me they can't do anything until the ground cable contractor runs the line under the street and to the house. My issue with this is- This should have been done before my scheduled INSTALL appointment. Now I took the day off work for this INSTALL. To be told the ground contractor is scheduled for November 11 and then once he is done the tech will contact us to schedule theINSTALL. They just ran the new fiber in the neighborhood so shouldn't you (AT&T) all know what needs to be done to complete an INSTALL? Now I get to waste more time off work to get this done. Again I scheduled an INSTALL for TODAY not November 11 or after. What a crappy way to run your business - I have spent over 5 hours on the phone trying to get this resolved. Originally, speaking to an off shore CSR and they were rude and bait and switched the sales call to today I was hung up on by Ms. Johnson(a supervisor in the Loyalty Department) plus called the wrong name the whole conversation. Correcting her didn't help matters. I am Mrs Stobbs not Mrs Barnes. End result I am not happy with how I am being treated when this INSTALL was scheduled for TODAY November 8 - 9am-11am. It is currently 12:12pm and I am no closer to having an INSTALL done today. Think twice before signing up with AT&T. So far I am not happy with their customer service at all. I would give this negative stars if I could. My father had AT&T Uverse and he recently passed away. I called to cancel his service and I was assured that everything would be taken forgiven, including any late fees as I had trouble getting all his bills and finances straightened out. I had my internet installed on a Friday. The internet completely stopped working six days later. No big deal - just need to call for them to fix it. Recently switched from Spectrum because of their poor customer service. However, they are literally light-years ahead of AT&T! I would give them -5 stars if I could. I had faster dial up service in 1996! They claimed 1000 Mbps on their new fiber optic lines and sold it as such. No, it's literally 400 Kbps! Even after restarting the modem, replacing the modem, and resetting it multiple times a day. Now, we can't even watch on demand moves or even YouTube videos without them buffering! Has anyone seen an outside ATT Internet Service Person? Mine is MIA. Thinking about switching. My internet went down on a Friday at 1AM. 10AM Saturday inside tech can't fix. He says I need an outside guy. He tells me it will probably be an hour before the guy comes out. That's fine. I talked to tech support and they say they have 4 hours for service guys to pick up ticket. That would be 3:03PM. It's now 5:16PM and my ticket is still just PENDING! That's all they can tell you: Pending! Tech support only knows one word! So much for customer service! I would give 0 stars if I could. Oh, and since my internet is down, so is my tv. Update: Sunday at 6pm. Still no service!!!!! I called tech support who told me the Outside guy couldn't get in. I have had att uverse for a year and when my promotion rate ended I called to get another promotion which I was told I could do no problem. Well its been 3 weeks now and I have called 4 times each time over an hour with no resolution. I tried to just cancel my cable and keep internet yet I can't get anyone to cancel my plan, send the new box out and get my bill adjusted. I was charged the new rate of not having the promotion and they refuse to adjust the bill. I still don't have an accurate bill or the internet box I need. If there was a -1 star I would click it. I had to end service with AT&T for my internet, and called to cancel. I have only used AT&T for my internet for YEARS! Anytime I have canceled they would prorate my bill and it was a fast and easy process to do so. I called today and was informed they no longer will prorate and no one has the authority to do so. I'm surprised that mid contract they can change the terms of my service and that they are so greedy to squeeze as much money as they can out of their customer base. I absolutely never leave online reviews for anything, but I absolutely needed to comment on this. For about 2 and a half years, our AT&T internet service has been OK. Some outages, can be slow occasionally, but generally fine for what we needed. About 3 weeks ago, our service had an outage. We called, tech support ran some tests, thought we needed a new modem. Fine. It didn't work, so we called again. And again. And again. Every time, they reset the gateway, restored service, and hung up the call. Every time, service went down again within hours. They sent a technician out. He had no idea what the issue was, but left anyway. Still outages. ANOTHER technician came out, gave us a new modem AGAIN. Within a day, we went out again. We have had little to no service for 3 weeks now. Finally, the only solution for me was to upgrade to the fiber optic service. It took 45 minutes for them to approve this upgrade with no additional cost. We have to wait 2 WEEKS to get this service installed with no fix to our current service. Horrendous customer service. I have never experienced anything so awful on that side of things. read more

My internet service completely went out on a Monday and they refused to send out a technician to fix the issue until that Friday between the hours of 4pm-8pm. I explained that I am a freelance contractor and need to use my internet for my livelihood. I work evenings and unfortunately all coffee shops and libraries with free wifi close by 8 or 9 pm. This is completely unacceptable to make me go 5 full workdays without the internet. I called their customer service line and asked if they could send anyone out earlier and I was greeted with a rude man. My local cable company recently went out of business, making AT&T U-Verse a monopoly in my area. At East Cleveland Cable, I was paying $40/month for 25 meg internet. Now, I'm paying $53/month for 6 meg internet. A TV ad, an online ad, and a door-to-door salesman all said that AT&T was offering 100 meg for $40/month. The internet service was fine most of the time. I had to restart it sometimes to get it to work. My problem is that they signed me up for additional services without telling me. They snuck a monthly $12.99 charge for CTS Frontier Security on my card for several months. Luckily CTS Frontier will cancel the service and refund the money without any problems, but I still feel like this is a dishonest practice and I don't like to give my business to people who are dishonest. read more

Our AT&T modem went out Monday. I had a spare 1800 and got that running with help from their tech support. Tech said I would need a new modem and to call in to the retention dept. I did and received high pressure sales to switch to Uverse. Sales lady said I can switch for $30 (from $57/month). Told me I would have 18 Mbps. She started berating me for not signing on right away. I hung up. I called the next day and the sales woman told me I would only get 6 Mbps for $30 a month and that 18 Mbps would cost me $40 a month and require a tech to come out. I told her that she should tell her management about the lies I received from the other sales person who was supposedly a manager in the department). She refused saying that they do not keep records of who called unless a sale was made. And yet Monday's liar said they keep phone records of all conversations. I told her I would call back but she demanded that I let her call me back. High pressure, rude and a pack of liars. I am not answering the phone. Seems every-time we request a change they lie and overcharge us and try to sell us Uverse. They lost our phone service business because the one woman lied when she supposedly quoted us a cheaper bundle. An AT&T male employee called back to tell me that the package the other woman had quoted me would actually cost me more so he switched it back. So who was lying. Was he just cutting her throat for the sale s commission? Seems that way. We simplified the process and dropped AT&T phone service. Apparently AT&T motivates their sales force with sales incentives paid to their credit cards. They keep lying year after year that DSL will no longer be offered and we will lose our internet and that we must switch to Uverse. DSL used to be packed with Directv and yet we never received a package deal and received two separate bills. Their 2wire modems last just a month or so past the warranty period. Reviews on their modems reveal that the modems are unreliable and burn out. Pack of liars lost our business! read more

We have had att for our internet service for many years. Never real happy with the product. Slow internet and several issues with numerous products. However, on 8/27/21 our neighbor installed his att internet. My son is on leave from the Navy after a year-long deployment. All he really wants to do is play his online video games. Kind of decompressing. Somewhere in the process the att tech cut our internet service. My son realized it immediately. My wife went next door and told the tech what he did. He said he didn't do anything and got in his truck and left. He actually installed an internet line above the ground out of the box in our back yard to the neighbors house. I called att customer service when I got home. Earliest they can come back is Monday. My sons leave is only 10 days. Now he can't do anything online as it will be out for at least 4 days. I again contacted customer service on Saturday. Asked for immediate repair service as this was their mistake. I explained all of this again. They did not care. I realize very quickly that ATT APPARENTLY DOES NOT SUPPORT OUR MILITARY. They could not care less about the issue I explained. Did not even acknowledge that I brought it up. Their MO is apparently to keep transferring you to another "supervisor" until you give up. When I stated I want a months credit for this they supplied another link for a complaint which I started out on originally. Needless to say, I have spent the morning exploring other companies. AT & T is the only provider in my area so I signed up for Uverse Internet, Land Line Phone, and Direct TV. On 3-July they informed me my rate was going from $110.88 to $152.31. I meant to call and discuss, but forgot. On August 3 they told me the rate went to $198. I called and told them to cancel the service at the end of the current service period which was told was 28-August. Today AT& T billed my credit card $198. When I called they said that is the charge for the last month since I reduced my service to phone and internet. How do you raise rates by almost 79% in 2 months and then tell people they have to pay a significant price increase for service that was already provided before the price increase was announced. Soo, my wife and I chose Uverse amd paid for a package that included the NFL Sunday Ticket. Guess what? Today are the season opener games and we do not have the NFL Sunday Ticket! We called Customer Support and they informed us that Uverse does not offer the NFL Sunday Ticket! The only reason we decided upon Uverse was for the NFL Sunday Ticket! I've had at&t wireless internet for over 2 years and have had numerous issues with them. My last one was trying to cancel and I wanted them to have someone remove the cords that someone stapled into my wall so that I didn't try to do it myself and ruin the wall. They wanted to charge $140 to send someone over even though they were the ones who did it in the first place. The internet even the cheapest one is expensive and not even good quality. They want to charge you for every little thing and it's not just $10 or something it's always a large amount and customer service is horrible! by far the worst cable and wireless company i have ever had and ive had most of them. the cable goes out every 10-15 minutes and when you call the international service call in line they will reset the modem (20 minutes) and tell you they made changes that'll fix the problem. if they do make these changes they wont work, withon minutes it lost connection. in fact as im typing this message the cable and wireless lost connection again, at least 15 time today. work of warning - stay away read more

When I started with my U-verse cable and internet service in 2014, I was very satisfied in the first year. However, there must have been a switch in the ownership or leadership in their customer service team as the past 2 years I have been completely dissatisfied and ended up switching to Time Warner Cable. In September, I had decided to go with TWC because I found a much better rate. However, when calling to cancel, AT&T almost matched the price I received at TWC, for only $1 more. They verified that price would last for 1 full year, so I ended up keeping my services. I did receive that price for October for 1 month only before my price jumped up by $20 more in November and December. When I called to question why the price went up $20 without communicating, they informed me that it was supposed to be the higher price. When I questioned why it was $20 cheaper for 1 month then and was much more than I agreed to, they could not explain other than it was incorrect. After the poor communication I was receiving without a representative offering to assist or look into the issue further, I stated I wanted to cancel. The representative didn't refer me to a retainer rep, just simply asked "what day would you like to cancel." They failed to mention that I would later receive a bill for the early termination. Isn't that unlawful? If I would have know that to begin with I potentially would have stayed; however, out of frustration with the awful communication and service I received I decided to go to Time Warner Cable. I even tried one more time, since did not have a good experience over the phone, to attempt to talk to someone over online chat. I explained my situation and no one responded. I have it in email. That was my final straw of realizing AT&T customer service has gone downhill significantly in the past two years. If you are looking for decent customer service in your internet, phone and cable provider, I strongly advise to look elsewhere. read more

I am a customer for over 6 years, landline phone and broadband Internet. I have a lot of issues with my Internet connection, made several calls to CS in the last years, but my last experience on Monday 5-23-2011 at 3 pm was the icing on my cake of complaints. Here is the story: My broadband modem kept showing a red light that morning on and off, then my Internet connection completely dropped, and the light went out. I had seen earlier that morning an AT&T service truck nearby working in the ground, and I suspected this could have something to do with my problem. At 3pm I called customer service and asked if they knew anything about work done in the area and a possible outage, the CS rep declined, but said he would go through a few settings to figure out what the problem is. He walked me through all kinds of changes in my settings, reboot, reset, everything you can image, nothing solved the problem. After one hour he told me he would talk to a higher rep, which he did, I was put on hold for a while. When he came back he began all the things I mentioned before again, including changing passwords etc. No result, no Internet. He asked me again to stay on the phone while he put me on hold to ask a higher rep again. He then came back and told me: "Oh, by the way, there is an outage in your area, it might take 24 hours until your Internet connection is back." I was speechless. That's what I suspected in the first place, and he wasn't able to find that out right away when I called? I will definitely terminate my Internet service with AT&T after this experience. My cable company is already on the way to provide me with everything I need to establish a hopefully stabile Internet connection. They offer me more than twice the speed for less money. I was switched to u-verse internet and home phone without being given a choice, and the cost increased. Then for a couple months, I was getting 2 bills, one for the service I was getting before the switch, and one for the new u-verse. So I was being billed for the same services twice (internet and home phone) at 2 different prices. I took the matter to a supervisor and they fixed the problem immediately, the double bills stopped immediately, and they even refunded some of my money for the trouble. And even though the new u-verse cost more, they gave me a discount for the first year. Their excellent customer service made all the difference. read more

I am so disappointed in this service. I have had 3 outages in a month!!! It'd very frustrating to call and tell them that there's an issue and then to hear their time slots for an appointment. I had to postpone 2xs because I can't be home m-f in the middle of the day. I guess at&t isn't Internet for students or working people. I made my latest appointment and was told that the tech would be here between 8am-8pm... and if I schedule for tomorrow, 8a-8p... are you kidding me?!?!?! I got the call from the tech 30 mins ago that he was on his way, looks like I'm SOL thanks to att again because I have class. The tech asked if I was up to date on my bill because I wasn't showing up in his computer... which btw, I am up to date, I am absolutely disgusted that this is the way att does business. I even discussed the change from att to time warner and was reassured multiple times by the att rep that the issues would resolved and I wouldn't need to do that. Now my 30 days to cancel are up and here we are again, another issue. The first issues I had to call 3 and 4 times. The att rep would tell me they'd compensate me for my outages and for the installation fee I wasn't supposed to be charged and just never would. I am writing this review solely based on my husband's experience so far. I am currently waiting for my UVERSE to be installed. My husband spent 2 hours on the phone with a man named Alan figuring out the best plan for us with cable & internet. Since we're AT&T customers for over 10 years, we usually don't have a ton of issues. Having said that my husband was able to get us unlimited data on our phones because we decided to set up the best UVERSE plan per month. Alan also set us up a date for installation two days later. When the installation day came, nobody showed up. My husband left work early to be here for the installation. He called them and they said they have no record of us having any account or making any appointments!!! The woman was extremely rude and insisted my husband never called. My husband told her about Alan and the plan he chose. He never disclosed to her any further information. She stated she could create us a account and set up what plan we want. My husband was so mad he said no she better not do it and he wants to speak to a supervisor or manager. Once we spoke to a manager he told us she set us up an account with a date for installation for 3 TV's. WE NEVER TOLD HER THAT INFORMATION! Certainly not about how many TV's we have. So not only did this rep lie to us, but she had our information from Alan already!! The manager Javier I believe was his name was very accommodating, fixed the issue, and issued us a American Express gift card to make up for the problems. We also reported the fraudulent rep who I forgot what her name was. Having said all this, I am still waiting for my cable and internet to be installed today. read more

I am so disgusted with AT&T Uverse! Before Christmas, our upstairs television was constantly freezing the picture and pixelating to the point that it became impossible to watch. I went through the call in system and spent more than an hour talking to the representative who tried everything possible to fix it and finally told me I had to send the box back for a new one. What a pain an especially at Christmas time when mailing it back was no easy job! Got the new box and guess what? The same thing is happening. I haven't called them because the thought of going through the whole thing with them again is more than I want to do! Also, right before Christmas, I was trying to install the new Alexa Tap and couldn't complete the install because it was telling me that my Wifi wasn't secure. Called for a representative and spent more than TWO hours on the phone only to be told that it would cost me $49.99 one-time charge for them to make the Wifi secure. Shouldn't they be responsible for installing secure systems to begin with? The only thing that has stopped me from pulling the plug with them so far is the thought of having to pack up all the pieces (five sets) and sending the stuff back to them. It's just a matter of time though before I do it because the bill is MUCH too high for this poor of service. By the way, I forgot to include the fact that the original sales rep promised us that if we called at the end of one year and asked for the customer loyalty program, they would extend our price for another year.
