This story starts in March of 2019. At&t offered 1 GB internet service, I was excited about it. I call and request the service, they say the infrastructure is not completed but they can run the cable to my house while they wait, I say cool let's get it done. They installed the fiber optic cable and my internet speeds were blazing. The contractor comes out to install the infrastructure and they hit a snag, leave their equipment in the street to return the next day, unfortunately I wake the next morning and there is a flood in my yard. I didn't think much about it until my wife text me about how much water was flowing through the yard. I call central Arkansas water and they find their water service had been damaged by the contractor who came out to put in the infrastructure for the at&t fiberoptic pedestals. They dig a hole the size of a small swimming pool and take 12 hours to fix the issue. Unfortunately it would seem that they failed to come back and install the rest of the PVC that would be used to run the fiber under my driveway. Fast forward seven months and the fiber is still running along the ground and my neighbor is out cutting her grass and when she uses her weed eater cuts the cable in half. It takes at&t three days to fix this issue. They move the cable down towards my house to a closer pedestal but it's still above ground running over people's driveways and through their yard. Fast forward another three months and here we are today, cable still above ground, at times literally running through people's yards and drive ways, still very much vulnerable to being cut at any time and at&t keeps sending technicians out who leave unable to bury the wire because there is no PVC under ground to run the cable through. I call their buried wire center again and it's the same old run around. We're escalating to a third level manager and we'll have the contractor call you. I'm not really holding out any hope but we'll see what they do this time. Slightly frustrated with the lack of caring from At&t and their employees. Moral if this story, you might want to go with a different internet carrier because my reviews of At&t would have negative marks. Photos and video provided for verification. read more

Never setup an auto draft with this company. After canceling service, they didn't withdraw anything from my account the month after I canceled service, but they did each month afterwards. One of their customer service representatives asked me why didn't I tell them to cancel my auto draft as well. After I brought to their attention how much they owed me, they sent me to a collection agency stating that I owed them $85.01. They owed me $424.64. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SPEAK TO ANYONE IN THE UNITED STATES. read more

Worst experience with a provider ever. They have no idea what they are doing at the technician center. Installation was done horribly. They haven't buried the cable, it has been over 2 months. Every time I talk to them they say they will call within 72 hours and that never happens. Plaid for the 1000 mbps fiber and routinely get around 150 mbps. Don't wait your time with this service, even their employees say to use Xfinity. read more

AT&T strikes out yet again. We had DSL with them about 6 years ago, we also had Directv. When we moved to our new home they could not install the Directv due to line of sight issues. We decided to go with U-verse. They set our appointment 4 weeks out! Sorry but we have to stay connected. We eventually got a 2 week install date and the tech failed to show. I have a feeling that they needed time to run some new line but never got an explanation as to why. We never got our U-verse or internet installed. We went with Comcast instead and it was installed and up and running the next day. So this brings me to my experience in the last week. So we decided that Comcast had gone up way too much and decided to give AT@T a second shot. Ordered an 18Mb connection on Sunday and tech shows up on Wednesday to install it. Rocky from Texas was very friendly and polite and did what I thought at the time was a good job until he left and never ran speed tests. I connected my main PC via LAN directly to the U-verse modem and began to test our new network. Imagine my surprise when I could only get a 3 Mb connection. I made some adjustments like setting my PC in the DMZ and still only 3 Mb. I thought I was paying for 18 Mb. I went to AT@T's web site and ran speed tests there and yep 3 Mb. My latency tests almost 300ms and upload was below 1 Mb. I connected my Xbox One S and started to download a 2.7 GB update that took almost 3 hours. Very bad. So I get on AT&T's web site again and talk to a rep and they tell me they will send a tech back out the next day between 1-3pm to fix the issue and upgrade me to a 24 Mb connection for the same price. So okay I am happy with that. Well waited and waited for the tech to call and he never did. My wife calls me at 3:45 and says that she just got a call from AT&T's tech that said he was running late and wanted to know when we would be home. My wife told him she would not be home till 6pm and he hung up on her. As she was texting me his number he then calls me and wanted to schedule the appointment for Saturday morning. I explained my daughter has a basketball game at 10:15am and he said he could be there between 7-8am. I said that is fine. He also explained that the tech who installed it on Wednesday did an inferior job and tapped the line instead of running a new one. WHAT???? Couldn't believe he downed his own co-worker like that. He sad he would fix it and get our speeds to the promised 24 Mb. So here it is Saturday at 5pm and no show. I missed my daughters basketball game. They are undefeated and clinched their division and I missed it thanks to AT&T. Erik, you are a poor employee and need to be serving fries at McDonalds. You have no business working in a professional atmosphere and should be working a shake machine and learning to be a better employee and co-worker. McDonalds will actually teach you these skills. As for AT&T, I will never do business with you again. I will continue to give others my money at twice the price because they deliver. Sad, I was a Cingular Mobile customer for 8 years and when AT&T bought them out they went down hill fast. I see the 6 years I have been away from them they have failed to improve. Folks I know cable bills have gone through the roof but you get what you pay for. My Comcast was a 30 Mb connection and tested at 30 Mb with latencies in the 30-50's and uploads up 8 Mb. I have signed back up with Comcast and look forward to having the new 75 Mb speeds for $50 a month for the first year and yes no contract! It will of coarse double after the first year but I will drop it back to a true 30 Mb for what we would have been paying AT&T. I read so many bad reviews and have listened to friends, family and co-workers complain about their U-verse service for years, and mocked them since I have Comcast that was so awesome. Now the jokes on me but fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and I cut ties. read more
